Abstract

This article explores the crucial role of legal education in societal transformation, with a specific focus on fostering legal awareness and promoting social justice. The introduction highlights the inherent interconnectedness of individuals in communal living and emphasizes law as a dual-aspect phenomenon governing legal subjects. The research aims to analyze the multifaceted functions of law, such as social control, engineering, symbolism, politics, and integration, to contribute to shaping a balanced and just society. The paper also delves into the objectives of legal education, intending to cultivate responsible citizens with a comprehensive understanding of legal awareness. Employing a qualitative approach through an extensive literature review, the methodology focuses on studying existing scholarly works. The article advocates for integrated efforts to realize legal transformation and societal harmony through robust legal education initiatives. In conclusion, it underscores the need for a collective commitment to fostering legal awareness for a more just and harmonious society

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi berdampak dengan tuntutan dalam dunia pendidikan untuk dapat mengatasi permasalah-permasalahan dalam dunia digital seperti masalah ujaran kebencian berbasis SARA, model pendidikan tersebut dikenal sebagai pendidikan 4.0. tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat peran pendidikan kewarganegaraan dalam menghadapi tantangan dan peluang yang diakibatkan oleh Revolusi 4. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode studi pustaka untuk menganalisis dan mensintesis berbagai literatur yang relevan dalam mendukung argumen dan temuan penelitian,. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn) menjadi semakin penting untuk membentuk generasi milenial yang berpikir kritis, literat, dan responsif terhadap perubahan serta memiliki nilai-nilai Pancasila dan karakteristik warga negara yang kuat, sehingga mampu berkontribusi secara aktif dalam membangun masyarakat yang berbudaya, cerdas, dan berkarakter, sejalan dengan perkembangan teknologi dan tuntutan zaman.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan sebuah negara yang multikultural dengan banyak sekali keragaman budaya, dengan keberagaman tersebut perlu suatu kompetensi multikultural untuk senantiasa menciptakan toleransi antar masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran penanaman nilai multikultural untuk mencapai kompetensi multikultural di lingkungan pendidikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literatur Review (SLR) dengan mengumpulkan literatur yang terkait melalui search engine yakni Google Scholar, kemudian literatur yang ditermukan dianalisis sesuai dengan topik yang dipilih. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perlu adanya penanaman nilai multikultural di lingkungan pendidikan sehingga menciptakan pendidikan yang inklusif karena civitas akademika di lingkungan pendidikan memiliki kompetensi multikultural untuk menunjang toleransi dalam bingkai keberagaman Indonesia. Kata Kunci: Etnosentrisme, Kompetensi, Nilai, Multikulturalisme dan Sikap.

Abstract

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded Indonesia's poverty rate at 26.36 million people in 2022, an increase of 0.04 million compared to the previous year. Poverty is an issue that must be addressed to achieve sustainable development (SDGs), particularly SDG 1, which aims to eradicate poverty. Organic waste is a potential resource in rural areas that can be economically utilized, creating business opportunities and jobs at the village level. This study explores PRODEKTIF (Productive Village Program), focusing on optimizing organic waste management through the Pentahelix concept to accelerate sustainable rural economic development. The research employs a qualitative approach using case study methods involving active participation from village communities, local governments, businesses, educational institutions, and community organizations in program development. The results show that increasing community productivity through the PRODEKTIF program promotes sustainable rural economic development by implementing the Pentahelix concept, which engages five key stakeholders: government, businesses, educational institutions, community organizations, and the community itself. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a reference for governments, educational institutions, and communities in developing similar programs focused on organic waste management and rural economic empowerment.

Abstract

The millennial generation or the young generation plays a crucial role in building democracy in Indonesia because they have great potential to influence social and political changes in the future. According to a survey conducted by the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), only 14.6% of young people are interested in the Legislative branch, and only 14.1% of young people aspire to run for regional leadership positions. Some issues faced by the young generation in government include a lack of interest in politics, limited access to political education, and the dominance of political elites in decision-making. As of now, a survey conducted by the Democracy Association has recorded the election of 20 young regional leaders and 17 young deputy regional leaders who are under 34 years old. This means that 13.7% of millennials are in positions of power, presenting both challenges and opportunities for Indonesian democracy. The research methodology employed in this article is a qualitative descriptive approach using literature study techniques, wherein the author collects relevant articles related to the research topic. This study will discuss the opportunities for the young generation to play a role in government and the challenges they face in their involvement, as they are seen as the nation's future successors capable of contributing to the development of the democratic Republic of Indonesia

Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to assess the role of the KADARKUM program in enhancing citizens’ legal awareness to support rural development. Research Methodology:  This study uses a qualitative approach and employs a literature review method to analyze the existing literature related to legal awareness improvement and citizen engagement in village development. It involves an in-depth review of the relevant literature to understand the factors influencing legal awareness among rural communities, effective strategies for enhancing legal awareness, and the benefits of citizen engagement in promoting rural development. Results: The findings indicate that enhancing legal awareness through the KADARKUM programme has the potential to increase citizen engagement in supporting rural development. Limitations: This study was limited to a literature review and did not include original data collection or empirical research in a specific location. Contributions: This study provides valuable insights into the significance of improving legal awareness as a foundational step in fostering citizen engagement to support rural development. The implications of this study can be used to formulate effective policies and intervention programs for community development. Novelty: The novelty of this study lies in its focus on the KADARKUM programme as a potential mechanism to strengthen legal awareness and citizen engagement in the context of rural development.

Abstract

Citizen Engagement is one of the most important elements in social life. This engagement can bring up various positive contributions to a community. This activity is an important aspect of social responsibility as an active citizen. Youth participation in community activities involves community service (gotong-royong). Mutual cooperation will contribute to the growth and development of youth, as well as efforts to create community welfare. This research aims to determine the actualization of the Sakai Sambayan philosophy of youth people's life in the Kedaloman, Tanggamus district, Lampung, community in strengthening citizen engagement. The research method used in this study is a qualitative approach using studies cases. The observation technique employed participant observation by becoming a member of Ikatan Muli-Mekhanai Kebandakhan in Pekon Kedaloman (local youth association). Then, interviewing the head of the organization and village officials to find out about the actualization of Sakai Sambayan local wisdom values. This study indicates that understanding the concept of Sakai Sambayan itself influences the actualization of local wisdom values in young people. Through understanding these life principles, young people have a culture of shame if they do not participate in community activities. The actualization value of Sakai Sambayan among the youth of Kedaloman can be seen in their various efforts to actively participate in the community activities, such as community service, religious activities, and the preservation of the cultural heritage in Pekon Kedaloman.
