Abstract

Perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS) harus diterapkan sebagai wujud kesadaran pada masalah kesehatan yang dapat dilakukan oleh seseorang. Salah satu upaya untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut melalui edukasi PHBS dalam lingkungan keluarga, sekolah dan masyarakat. PHBS di lingkungan sekolah yaitu mencuci tangan dengan sabun sebelum dan sesudah makan, mengkonsumsi jajanan sehat, menggunakan jamban bersih dan sehat, olahraga yang teratur, memberantas jentik nyamuk, tidak merokok di lingkungan sekolah, membuang sampah pada tempatnya, dan melakukan kerja bakti bersama warga lingkungan sekolah untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang sehat. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui penyuluhan kesehatan tentang perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat. Tujuan penyuluhan ini adalah meningkatkan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat di lingkungan sekolah. Peserta dalam kegiatan ini berjumlah 69 orang, siswa – siswi kelas 1,2,3 SDN Negeri 101737 Sunggal. Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode ceramah dan demonstrasi dengan pemutaran video PHBS dan evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan dengan tanya jawab kepada peserta. Setelah dilakukan penyuluhan peserta mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan tentang PHBS dimana kegiatan pengabdian ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman siswa terhadap PHBS. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa edukasi PHBS di sekolah mampu meningkatkan gaya hidup sehat sejak dini ditandai dengan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta tentang PHBS, dimana peserta menunjukkan sikap positif terhadap program PHBS serta mampu melakukan tindakan berkaitan dengan PHBS. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat serupa harus terus dilakukan sebagai bentuk penguatan dengan mencakup sasaran yang lebih banyak dan menjangkau area yang lebih luas lagi khususnya sekolah-sekolah yang belum pernah dijangkau.

Abstract

Skin Fruit Banana goods (Musa acuminate Colla) can used as ingredient blocker bacteria. Research this aim for knowing activity antibacterial preparation ointment from extract skin fruit banana goods (Musa acuminate colla) against Staphylococcus aureus. Method Study this conducted Experimental, extract obtained with use method maceration with solvent 96% followed after that the extract was concentrated with rotary evaporator. Ethanol obtained tested Phytochemicals. The results of screenings showed that all of the extracts from skin fruit banana contained flavonoid, alkaloid, steroid, terpenoid and tannin, then made preparation ointment using Vaseline Album base, Adeps Lanae, Paraffin Liquid, Setyl Alcohol and preparation ointment Extract Skin Fruit Banana goods have Concentration 4%, 6%, 8%. Results this show that skin fruit banana goods (Musa acuminate Colla) can formulated as preparation Ointment and Fulfill requirements test quality preparation ointment among them Test Organoleptic, Test Homogeneity, Ph Test, Test Power spread. The results ofthe antibacterial activity test were analyzed using a sumuran method show that formulation preparation ointment extract skin fruit banana goods (Musa acuminate cola ) with concentration 4%, 6%, 8%. Not could hinder growth bacteria and power block. Concluded that the more increase concentration extract, so power a given block the more big to get zone good inhibit _ in growth bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus).

Abstract

The stevia plant is known to have various benefits in the pharmaceutical field and is used as a health medicine because of its antioxidant, antifungal and non-carcinogenic effects. Green tea is a plant that contains various antioxidant compounds that are beneficial for health. The aim of this research is to determine whether the combination of stevia leaf extract and green tea leaves is effective as an antioxidant. Ethanol extract of stevia leaves and green tea leaves is made by maceration with 96% ethanol solvent, combination extract has blackish green. The ethanol extract of stevia leaves and green tea leaves was screened for phytochemical compounds. Antioxidant effectiveness was tested using the DPPH (1,1 Diphenyl-2-Picrylhydrazyl) method, with varying concentrations of 10 ppm, 20 ppm, 30 ppm, 40 ppm and 50 ppm. Then Antioxidant activity test by DPPH measured using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The results of screening for phytochemical compounds show that stevia leaf extract contains alkaloids, saponins, flavonoids and tannins. Meanwhile, the results of screening for phytochemical compounds in green tea leaf extract contain alkaloids, steroids, saponins, flavonoids and tannins. The research results showed that antioxidant levels in the combination of Stevia leaf extract and green tea leaves with concentrations of 10 ppm, 20 ppm, 30 ppm, 40 ppm, 50 ppm with a ratio of (1:1) had an IC50 analysis result of 10 ppm of 19.90 mg/L, 20 ppm is 12.90 mg/L, 30 ppm is 9.60 mg/L. 40 ppm is 6.80 mg/L. 50 ppm is 6.60 mg/L where a concentration of 50 ppm is classified as a very strong antioxidant. The antioxidant effect of the combination of stevia leaf extract and green tea leaves is still higher than vitamin C. The combination of stevia leaves xtract and green tea leaves has antioxidant effectiveness.

Abstract

The rimbang plant is one of the traditional plants used in the treatment of infectious diseases. The kecombrang plant has long been known and used by the public, several studies have shown that kecombrang flowers and leaves have antibacterial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. To determine whether the combination of rimbang leaf extract and kecombrang leaf has antibacterial effectiveness against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria, use the disc method. Ethyl acetate extract of rimbang leaves and kecombrang leaves is made by maceration. The ethyl extract of rimbang leaves and kecombrang leaves was screened for phytochemical compounds. Antibacterial activity was tested using the paper disc diffusion method with varying concentrations of 30%, 40% and 50%. The results of screening for phytochemical compounds show that rimbang leaf extract contains alkaloids, terpenoids, flavonoids and tannins. Meanwhile, the results of screening for phytochemical compounds in kecombrang leaf extract contain alkaloids, saponins, flavonoids and tannins. The antibacterial effectiveness test of the combination of rimbang leaf and kecombrang leaf extracts from 3 concentration variations, namely 30%, 40% and 50%, has antibacterial effectiveness against staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, the most effective concentration for staphylococcus aureus bacteria is at a concentration of 30% with a ratio of 3 :1 with a result of (13.2) while Escherichia coli bacteria were found at a concentration of 30% with a ratio of 1:3 with a result of (10.3). The combination of ethyl acetate extract of rimbang leaves (Solanum torvum Sw.) and kecombrang leaves (Etlingera elatior (Jack) R.M.sm.) has been proven to have antibacterial effectiveness against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli bacteria. Based on the one way ANOVA data analysis test, there is a significant difference in antibacterial inhibition power.

Abstract

Obat Generik adalah obat dengan nama resmi International Non Propietary Name (INN) yang ditetapkan dalam Farmakope Indonesia atau buku standar lainnya untuk zat berkhasiat yang dikandungnya. Obat paten adalah obat baru yang ditemukan berdasarkan riset industri farmasi yang diberi hak paten untuk memproduksi dan memasarkannya setelah melalui berbagai tahapan uji klinis. Mutu obat generik tidak berbeda dengan obat paten karena bahan bakunya sama. Pada umumnya konsumen atau masyarakat lebih tertarik untuk mengkonsumsi produk obat bermerek/produk dagang dibandingkan produk generik, hal itu disebabkan adanya anggapan bahwa obat generik mutunya lebih rendah daripada produk yang bermerek/dagang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat pengetahuan mahasiswa sarjana farmasi di Universitas Imelda Medan tentang obat generik dan obat paten. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan menggunakan kuesioner dibagikan kepada responden. Sampel berjumlah 67 mahasiswa aktif dari tingkat 1, 2, 3 dan 4. Teknik sampling dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode probability sampling yaitu stratified random sampling. Analisa data dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan menampilkan persentase tingkat pengetahuan 76-100% tingkat pengetahuan baik, 56-75% tingkat pengetahuan cukup dan <55% tingkat pengetahuan kurang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gambaran pengetahuan mahasiswa sarjana farmasi tentang obat generik dan obat paten di Universitas Imelda Medan dikategorikan baik. Hal ini disebabkan dari data yang diperoleh sebanyak 66 responden (98,5%) memiliki pengetahuan baik dan 1 responden (1,5%) memiliki pengetahuan cukup.

Abstract

A peel-off mask cosmetic product has been made from the ethanol extract of the leaves of the Moringa oliefera plant. The research method is experimental. Moringa leaf extract was obtained by the maceration method using 75% ethanol solvent. The extract is divided into six formulations, namely FI (0.5%), FII (1%), FIII (1.5%) and FIV (0.5%), FV (1%), FVI (1.5%) . The formulation for making peel off mask products uses a mixture of green tea essential oils (FIV, FV, FVI). Evaluation of Peel Off mask product preparations consists of organoleptic tests, homogeneity tests, pH tests, Hedonic tests, Irritation tests, spreadability tests. Based on the results of organoleptic tests, non-essential oil preparations in FI have a yellow color, FII has a brown color, and FIII has a brown color, where all three formulations have the aroma of Moringa leaves, while the formulation with the addition of essential oil in FIV has a white color, FV has a brown color, and FVI Brown in color, all three formulations have the aroma of green tea essential oil. The homogeneity test results of all formulations have a homogeneous texture and have a pH of 7. The hedonic test uses 10 panelists to determine the panelists' level of preference. The hedonic test results for color are 40% FI, 50% FII, 60% FIII, 100% FIV, 90% FV and 90% FVI. The hedonic test for texture is 50% FI, 60% FII, 50% FIII, 80% FIV, 100% FV, and 90% FVI. The hedonic test for aroma obtained 20% FI, 40% FII, 50% FIII, 80% FIV, 90% FV and 90% FVI. The Moringa leaf extract peel off mask does not cause irritation to the skin and has a spreadability of around 3.9 – 6.2 cm.

Abstract

The Candida albicans fungus is one of the factors that causes canker sores. Several researchers have proven that senggani leaves (Melastoma malabatricum L) have antifungal activity. The ethanol extract of senggani leaves is made by maceration. Formulated in mouthwash preparations with concentrations of 2%, 4% and 6%, then tested for antifungal activity against Candida albicans. The results of the antifungal activity test of the ethanol extract of senggani leaves obtained a Minimum Inhibition concentration at a concentration of 2%. The results of the antifungal activity of mouthwash preparations showed an average zone of inhibition. -average at a concentration of 2% 12.8 mm; 4% 13.4 mm and 6% 16.6 mm. Mouthwash preparations using ethanol extract of senggani leaves have been proven to have antifungal activity against Candida albicans which causes canker sores.

Abstract

Salah satu desa yang berkembang di Kecamatan Sunggal, Kabupaten Deli Serdang adalah Muliorejo. Terletak di antara dua kota besar Sumatera Utara, Medan dan Binjai, desa ini berada di kawasan industri padat. Sebanyak 35 orang yang ikut dalam kegiatan PKM ini adalah orang tua dan ibu-ibu PKK. Menurut distribusi mata pencaharian, peserta termasuk bertani (17%), berdagang (26%), bidang jasa (14%), industri rumahan (2%), dan buruh pabrik (37%). Selain itu, berdasarkan persentase demografi dari tingkat pendidikan, peserta terdiri dari SD (17%), SMP (26%), SMA (49%), dan sarjana (9%). Pengabdian masyarakat ini memanfaatkan pendekatan pemanfaatan tanaman berantioksidan tinggi dan pengembangan keterampilan melalui demonstrasi dan pendampingan dalam pembuatan sediaan nutrasetikal berbasis herbal dari tanaman berantioksidan tinggi. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dimulai dengan persiapan, yaitu menyiapkan bahan untuk sosialisasi. Kemudian datang tahapan pelaksanaan, yaitu memberikan pre- dan post-tes, diskusi, ceramah, tanya jawab, dan demonstrasi pembuatan produk nutrasetikal. Peningkatan nilai pengetahuan dan keterampilan partisipan dari 12,64 sebelum intervensi menjadi 30,77 setelah intervensi menunjukkan keberhasilan kegiatan PKM ini. Ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang manfaat tanaman beraktioksidan tinggi serta meningkatkan keterampilan melalui kegiatan redemonstrasi kembali. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berhasil dilaksanakan berkat kerja sama yang efektif dan dukungan dari semua pihak, termasuk tim pelaksana, mahasiswa, dan kepala desa Muliorejo dan Ibu PKK Desa Muliorejo.

Abstract

The isolation and identification of flavonoid compounds from the leaves of the mundu plant (Garcinia dulcis (Roxb) kurz) as well as antibacterial and antioxidant activity tests have been carried out. The isolation process of flavonoid compounds was initiated by maceration process using methanol solvent, then continued with partitioning using ethyl acetate and n-hexane and the isolation process was continued using column chromatography. Determination of the structure using UV-Vis, IR, NMR and LC-MS/MS equipment. The flavonoid compound obtained has a weight of 12.0 mg and an Rf (Reterdation Factor) of 0.37. The result of interpretation of spectroscopic data shows that the flavonoid compound of the biflavonoid group is morreloflavone with the structural formula C30H23O11 and a molecular weight of 559.
