Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kelancaran prosedural matematis siswa pada materi eksponen. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian adalah 6 siswa kelas X SMK Negeri Unggulan Sambas. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari enam siswa yang dikelompokkan berdasarkan tingkat kemampuannya, yakni dua siswa memiliki kemampuan tinggi, dua siswa memiliki kemampuan sedang dan dua siswa memiliki kemampuan rendah. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Tes ini terdiri dari 3 soal untuk mengukur tiga indikator kelancaran prosedural matematis, yaitu efisiensi, fleksibilitas, dan akurasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif melalui analisis yang dilakukan dengan menjabarkan hasil jawaban siswa berkaitan dengan kelancaran prosedural matematis siswa. Hasil penelitian yaitu kedua siswa dengan kemampuan tinggi berhasil mencapai indikator fleksibilitas, efisiensi, dan akurasi, karena mereka memiliki pemahaman yang baik tentang kapan dan bagaimana menggunakan prosedur. Dua siswa dengan kemampuan sedang menunjukkan fleksibilitas dan akurasi, tetapi tidak memenuhi indikator efisiensi karena banyaknya prosedur berulang dalam pengerjaan soal. Dua siswa lain dengan kemampuan rendah memenuhi fleksibilitas tetapi tidak mencapai akurasi dan efisiensi, karena pemahaman yang kurang mengakibatkan penyelesaian yang terlalu panjang dan kesalahan dalam perhitungan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to see the feasibility of developing project-based learning-based flipbooks on mathematical problem-solving abilities seen from validity, practicality and effectiveness. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with an ADDIE research design. This research was carried out at Sirajun Jadid Islamic Junior High School Pontianak with a trial subject of 30 grade VII students. From the validity results, it shows that the validity of the media reaches a percentage of 89.08% and the validation of the material is a percentage of 97.73 with the criterion of "very valid". The Flipbook developed is also practical to use with the percentage of teacher response questionnaires of 92% of the "very practical" criteria and student response questionnaires of 92.47% of the "very practical" criteria. The effectiveness is seen from the results of the posttest with ,... Students are complete and ... incomplete students get a percentage of .... criteria of "very effective". Based on these results, it is concluded that the developed flipbook is suitable for use in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and examine the geometric ideas contained in the keturi piring fish motif in the heritage of the Jangkang Malay community. Keturi piring fish was chosen as the subject of the study because of its unique physical form. This tradition contains local values ​​related to mathematical concepts, especially geometry, which are reflected both explicitly and implicitly in the patterns and forms of the motif. This study uses an exploratory research design with qualitative methodology. This study uses observation, interview, and documentation study methods to investigate the philosophy and geometry structure of the keturi piring fish motif. The data obtained were then analyzed qualitatively in accordance with the Miles and Huberman methodology, specifically including reduction, presentation, and conclusion/verification. Furthermore, to assess the validity of the data, the researcher used the data triangulation method. The results of the study indicate that the presentation motif of keturi piring fish not only reflects the aesthetics of local culture but also reflects various geometric concepts such as the concepts of algebra, arithmetic, circle, congruence, symmetry, translation, rotation, transformation, and dilation. In addition, this finding reveals that applying geometry concepts to traditional motifs has great potential as a contextual and innovative learning medium in mathematics education, especially to introduce geometry through local wisdom. Abstract

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengkaji penguasaan siswa terhadap mengalihkan bentuk representasi guna menyelesaikan masalah kovariasional pada materi statistika. Latar belakang penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa sering mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami soal matematika yang disajikan dalam berbagai bentuk representasi seperti tabel, grafik, verbal, dan simbol. Penelitian ini dikonstruksi menggunakan paradigma deskriptif-kualitatif dengan strategi studi kasus sebagai landasan eksplorasi data. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari sembilan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 10 Sungai Kakap yang dipilih berdasarkan hasil tes kemampuan translasi representasi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes tertulis dan wawancara semi terstruktur. Data dianalisis berdasarkan empat indikator kemampuan translasi representasi, yaitu membongkar sumber, koordinasi awal, mengonstruksi target, dan menentukan kesetaraan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan tinggi mampu melakukan seluruh proses translasi representasi dengan baik dan akurat. Siswa dengan kemampuan sedang mampu menyelesaikan proses translasi dengan beberapa kesalahan pada tahap koordinasi atau kesetaraan. Sedangkan siswa dengan kemampuan rendah mengalami kesulitan hampir di semua indikator, terutama pada tahap mengonstruksi target dan menentukan kesetaraan. Temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan berbagai bentuk representasi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to describe how decisions are made in solving mathematical problems in terms of field dependent and field independent cognitive styles. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method in the form of a case study. The research subjects were 2 students from class VII C of SMP Negeri 24 Pontianak, namely 1 field dependent subject and 1 field independent subject taken based on considerations and suggestions from the subject teacher. The data collection techniques used were the Group Embedded Figures Test (GEFT) instrument test, essay test questions for decision making in solving mathematical problems, as well as non-tests in the form of interviews and documentation. To test the validity of the data, triangulation techniques were used. Data analysis was carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Test and interview results are analyzed based on decision making indicators, namely: understanding the problem in the questions given, identifying the purpose of decision making, finding alternative answers, calculating or working on the questions given, evaluating alternative answers to be worked on, making decisions, evaluating decision results. These results indicate that students with a field dependent cognitive style can fulfill all decision making indicators in solving decision making test questions. Students with field independent cognitive style are only able to fulfill some of all decision making indicators.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media in the form of interactive educational games assisted by Kahoot integrated with the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model to improve mathematical problem-solving skills in the circle material of class VIII students of MTs Mujahidin Pontianak. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model consisting of five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects in this study were 14 class VIII students. The instruments used included expert validation sheets to assess product validity, teacher and student response questionnaires to measure practicality, and learning outcome tests (posttests) to assess media effectiveness. The results showed that the media developed had a very high level of validity, with an average percentage of 95.23%. The practicality of the media based on the results of the teacher and student response questionnaires reached an average of 82.85%, which was categorized as very practical. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of the media based on the results of the student posttest showed classical learning completion of 86, so it was included in the effective category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the interactive educational game media assisted by Kahoot based on the Team Games Tournament model is worthy of being used as an alternative learning media that is valid, practical, and effective to improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities, especially in circle material.
