Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses pembelajaran dengan contrasting cases dan peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi fluida statis setelah diberikan perlakuan pembelajaran dengan contrasting cases. Penggunaan contrasting cases bertujuan untuk memudahkan siswa dalam menemuan ciri penting dari suatu konsep sehingga terjadi peningkatan pemahaman konsep. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan menggunakan Mixed Method: Embedded Experimental Design. Metode penelitian ini digunakan untuk memperoleh data proses pembelajaran dan pemahaman konsep siswa secara lengkap yang ditinjau dari sebelum perlakuan, proses yang dilakukan selama perlakuan, dan setelah perlakuan. Data diperoleh dengan melakukan observasi dan memberikan 12 soal pilihan ganda beralasan kepada 33 siswa SMA kelas XI IPA. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui proses pembelajaran dengan contrasting cases yang diamati oleh tiga observer memperoleh tingkat keberhasilan rata-rata 86,44% dari 100%. Untuk hasil dari pemahaman konsep fluida statis yang ditinjau dari statistik deskriptif yaitu terjadi peningkatan rata-rata skor prepost-test 2,67 ke 5,70. Berdasarkan hasil statistik deskriptif maka dapat dilakukan uji lanjut untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep dengan menggunakan perhitungan N-gain diperoleh skor 0,32 dengan kategori peningkatan pemahaman konsep sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan contrasting cases dilakukan dengan baik dan terjadi peningkatan pemahaman konsep dengan kategori sedang. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya perlu adanya pembiasaan lebih lama dalam proses pembelajaran dengan contrasting cases agar siswa dapat dengan mudah menemukan ciri penting dari suatu konsep. Selain itu dalam melakukan pembiasaan dapat juga dikembangkan kasus yang dihadirkan dalam pembelajaran lebih terlihat kekonstrasannya dengan begitu diharapkan terjadi peningkatan pemahaman konsep yang lebih baik.

Abstract

This research is a research and development with the final result of developing a multi-representation-based Physics E-Module. The development of the Physics E-Module aims to produce innovations in teaching materials that can be applied to the learning process and to support independent or student-centred learning. The Physics E-Module was developed on a multi-representational basis. Multirepresentation aims for students to get various representations of a material. The development research method used is the ADDIE design development method. This method was chosen because it is one of the basic development methods and is easy to implement. The ADDIE design development stages include Analyze, Development, Implementation, and Evaluate. The product feasibility test was carried out by involving 16 Tadris IPA Biologi UIN Mataram students. The Flip PDF Corporate supports the appearance of the multi-representation-based Physics E-Module so that the appearance of the Physics E-Module has an effect like opening a printed book. The multi-representation used in the Physics E-Module is verbal, graphic image, and audio-visual representations. Expert validators in the media and material carry out the feasibility test. The feasibility test results in the media sector are 90%, with a very feasible category. The feasibility test results in the material sector are 94.6%, with a very feasible category. The scores of the student's responses to the development of multi-representation-based Physics E-Modules range from 3.5 to 4, with a maximum score of 4. The results of this study have implications for the provision of valid and feasible Basic Physics teaching material for use in learning, especially online learning.

Abstract

Community service has been carried out in the form of introducing simple experiments in learning which is expected to increase students' interest in learning physics. The method used in this introduction activity is direct experimentation. The experiments given are related to pressure and optics. In general, the service activities are carried out in 4 stages, namely preparation, socialisation, implementation and evaluation and reflection. The service activities have been carried out well. Based on the activity evaluation questionnaire, it shows that most students are satisfied and enthusiastic in carrying out experiments. However, the highlight is the time aspect. This is because students feel that the time given in discussing each material is not enough. In general, based on the questionnaire students feel motivated in learning through experiments followed by theoretical learning.

Abstract

This research is a development study with the final outcome being a discovery learning-based science module as an alternative to integrate collaboration and communication learning skills. The development of the integrated science module aims to create innovative teaching materials that can be applied as an alternative for learning and support independent or student-centered learning. The integrated science module is developed based on discovery learning. The goal of discovery learning is to provide students with practice in various skills, particularly collaboration and communication skills. The development research method used is the ADDIE design development method. This method was chosen because it is a fundamental development method that is easy to apply. The stages of the ADDIE design development process include Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The product feasibility test involved 30 students from MTs Miftahul Ma’arif Pelambik, with assessments conducted by media and content experts. The media feasibility test resulted in a score of 92.7%, categorized as very feasible. The content feasibility test resulted in a score of 96.4%, also categorized as very feasible. The student response score to the development of the integrated science module ranged from 3.7 to 3.9 out of a maximum score of 4. The results of this study imply that the module is valid and feasible for use in teaching, particularly as an alternative for collaboration and communication learning skills.

Abstract

Indonesia memiliki ragam budaya dan suku sehingga memiliki berbagai kearifan lokal di setiap daerah, khususnya di Desa Sembalun Lombok Timur. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kearifan lokal Desa Sembalun sebagai pengembangan modul digital IPA dan menganalisis bagaimana modul pembelajaran yang tepat dengan memanfaatkan kearifan lokal sebagai sumber dan media belajar siswa sekolah menengah pertama (SMP/MTs). Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian etnografi. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah guru dan para siswa SMPN 1 Sembalun Lombok Timur serta Masyarakat Sembalun Lombok Timur. Analisis yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data, menyajikan data, dan menarik simpulan atau verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 4 jenis kearifan lokal yang dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber belajar siswa, yaitu kearifan lokal Tari Tandang Mendet, Adat Ngayu- Ayu, Rumah Adat Bale Beleq dan Tari Cupak Gerantang. Berdasarkan jenis kearifan lokal yang telah didapatkan maka diklasifikan menjadi kearifan lokal yang berwujud nyata, sehingga pemanfaatan kearifan lokal ini dapat menjadi sumber atau media belajar dengan dikembangkan menjadi modul digital IPA.

Abstract

The limitations of the available science modules, because they have not integrated local wisdom and recitation in the contextual learning process to support students' digital literacy. This study aims for the development of a digital science module because it is based on local wisdom containing recitation for improvements to student digital literacy within the junior high school level. This type of research researches as well as develops through adaptation of the four-D (4D) model with a qualitative approach regarding product trials. 4D has 4 stages that are definition, design, develop, also to disseminate. The design of the digital science module is on a local wisdom base. That program contains local wisdom of Sembalun Village, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. The digital module's validity, practicality, and effectiveness were each put to a test. Experts on materials confirmed the test having 93.75% in a feasible category. Experts in media plus experts in recitation programs validated it, with 96.42% and 95% in a feasible category. The teachers' practical test showed 96% very practical as the students' small scale field trial showed 96% very feasible. The next test checks whether the digital science module effectively improves students' digital literacy since researchers measured it qualitatively, gaining an N-Gain of 0.54. Results from the t-test are at 0.008, meaning digital literacy increased differently before and after the learning. The novelty in this study is the local wisdom-based science digital module strengthens the digitalization of student learning and recitation contextually and holistically.
