Abstract

Based on the results of observations showed that animal diversity learning in Semester 3 students are less involved in learning activities, so the process skills and learning outcomes of students need to be improved. Efforts to improve student process skills and learning outcomes by applying the STAD learning model combined with contextual approaches. This study uses a type of Lesson Study-based class action research that is carried out in 2 cycles. The results showed that the application of the STAD learning model combined with contextual approaches: (1) improved student process skills based on observation results by 97.51; (2) Classically improve student learning outcomes from cycle one 1 to cycle 2 by 6.49% with learning completion reaching 100%

Abstract

Kesadaran akan lingkungan perlu ditanamkan sejak dini kepada diri kita, khususnya kepada siswa. Zerowaste merupakan salah satu program berbasis lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengetahuan lingkungan dan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa MTs.Mifathul Ma’arif. Jenis penelitian yang diguanakan ialah deskriptif kuantitaif dengan tehnik pengumpulan sampel secara Purpossive Sampling. Jumlah responden sebanyak 36 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan siswa sebesar 30,4% dan sikap peduli lingkungan sebesar 9,8%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pengetahuan ligkungan dan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa sangat rendah, sehingga perlu dilakukan tindakan lebih lanjut untuk meningkatkannya dalam upaya pelestarian dan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan sekitar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a module and investigate the feasibility of an integrated module of Al-Qur'an verses on digestive materials for class VIII MT students. This research uses a 4D model R&D method that consists of a definition phase, a design phase, a development phase, and a dissemination phase. A data collection tool in the form of validation sheets and student surveys. The questionnaires used are an expert validation questionnaire to assess the feasibility of the product and a student questionnaire to confirm the effectiveness and practicality of the product. The value of validity by media expert lecturers is 67.05%. Lecturer of material experts by 80%. The practicality level of the student response module for class VIII MTs is 80.69%, the practicality data for class VIII Putri is 81.66% and the practicality data for Integrated Science teachers reaches 100%. The result of this study is an edit of the Human Digestive System Integration Module, and the Quranic verses of the Madrasah Tsanawiyah School are useful and practical for learning.

Abstract

Sampah yang berasal dari aktivitas sehari-hari sangat besar jumlahnya, dan dapat menimbulkan bahaya terhadap lingkungan jika tidak dikelola dengan baik ditambah lagi kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat madrasah terhadap kesehatan dan kebersihan lingkungan. Tujuan pengabdian ini ialah; 1) untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran masyarakat madrasah di Lombok tengah, NTB melalui bak sampah, bank sampah, dan basecamp kerajinan. 2) menemukan desain model pengelolaan bank sampah sebagai program inovasi madrasah Miftahul Ma’arif, Lombok Tengah. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan ialah Participatory Action Research (PAR). Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan pada bulan mei hingga agustus 2022. Bentuk kegiatan yang dilakukan antara lain: survey, focus group discussion, workshop, pelatihan, pendampingan dan evaluasi. Berdasarkan data hasil respon peserta bahwa 60% peserta mejawab sangat setuju dapat mengumpulkan sampah di tempat sampah, 80% sangat setuju dapat memilah dan membedakan jenis sampah, 92% sangat setuju sampah bermanfaat untuk didaur ulang dan bernilai ekonomi. 84% sangat setuju dapat menabung dari bank sampah, 84% sangat setuju dapat membuat kerajinan dari sampah anorganik, 88% sangat setuju dapat membuat pupuk kompos dari sampah organik, 96% sangat setuju melalui kegiatan workshop mengetahui pentingnya menjaga lingkungan bersih dari sampah, dan 92% sangat setuju menjaga lingkungan sekolah bersih dari sampah. Berdasarkan kegiatan yang dilakukan diperoleh kesimpulan 1) masyarakat madrasah bisa membuang dan memilah sampah dengan adanya bak sampah, menabung di bank sampah, serta memanfaatkan jenis sampah organik dan anorganik melalui basecamp kerajinan, 2) model sistem pengelolaan sampah 3R yaitu pemilahan sampah, penyetoran di bank sampah, penimbangan, pencacatan, pengiriman sampah anorganik ke bank sampah utama, pengolahan sampah organik.The amount of waste from population activities is very large. It can pose a hazard to the environment if not managed properly, coupled with the lack of awareness of the madrasa community on environmental health and cleanliness. The purpose of this service is to determine; 1) to raise awareness of the madrasa community in central Lombok, NTB, through trash bins, garbage banks, and craft base camps and 2) find the design of the waste bank management model as a Miftahul Ma'arif madrasah innovation program. The service method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR). The activities war carried out from May to august 2022. The activities include surveys, focus group discussions, workshops, training, mentoring, and evaluation of the madrasah waste management structure for teachers and the madrasah community. Based on data from the responses of participants taken randomly from 25 participants that 60% of participants answered strongly agree that they can collect garbage in the trash,80% strongly agree to be able to sort and distinguish the types of waste, 92% strongly agree that waste is useful for recycling and has economic value, 84% strongly agree that they can save from a waste bank, 84% strongly agree that they can make crafts from an organic waste, 88% strongly agree that they can make compost from organic waste,96% strongly agree that through workshops they know the importance of keeping the environment clean from waste, and 92% strongly agree to keep the school environment clean from waste. Based on the activities carried out, it can be concluded that 1) the madrasah community can dispose of and sort waste with trash cans, save in the waste bank and utilize organic and inorganic waste types through craft base camps, 2) the 3R waste management system model, namely waste sorting, depositing in banks waste, weighing, marking, sending inorganic waste to the main waste bank, processing organic waste.

Abstract

This research is a development study with the final outcome being a discovery learning-based science module as an alternative to integrate collaboration and communication learning skills. The development of the integrated science module aims to create innovative teaching materials that can be applied as an alternative for learning and support independent or student-centered learning. The integrated science module is developed based on discovery learning. The goal of discovery learning is to provide students with practice in various skills, particularly collaboration and communication skills. The development research method used is the ADDIE design development method. This method was chosen because it is a fundamental development method that is easy to apply. The stages of the ADDIE design development process include Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The product feasibility test involved 30 students from MTs Miftahul Ma’arif Pelambik, with assessments conducted by media and content experts. The media feasibility test resulted in a score of 92.7%, categorized as very feasible. The content feasibility test resulted in a score of 96.4%, also categorized as very feasible. The student response score to the development of the integrated science module ranged from 3.7 to 3.9 out of a maximum score of 4. The results of this study imply that the module is valid and feasible for use in teaching, particularly as an alternative for collaboration and communication learning skills.

Abstract

Communication skills are the abilities that students have in conveying information, opinions, or news to other parties or individuals in a straightforward manner. Communication skills are an important requirement in the learning process because they can help and facilitate students to express ideas and exchange information with teachers or fellow students. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the TGT (Teams Games Tournament) type of cooperative learning model on improving the communication skills of class XI MAN 1 Mataram students. This study used a quasi-experimental research method with a quantitative approach. The sample used was students of class XI IPA 3 and XI IPA 4 MAN 1 Mataram. The hypothesis test used to determine the level of students' communication skills is the t-test. The results showed that the significance value for the NA of students' communication skills was 0.01 <0.05, so it could be concluded that there was an influence of the application of the TGT type cooperative learning model on the communication skills of class XI MAN 1 Mataram students.

Abstract

Indonesia memiliki ragam budaya dan suku sehingga memiliki berbagai kearifan lokal di setiap daerah, khususnya di Desa Sembalun Lombok Timur. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kearifan lokal Desa Sembalun sebagai pengembangan modul digital IPA dan menganalisis bagaimana modul pembelajaran yang tepat dengan memanfaatkan kearifan lokal sebagai sumber dan media belajar siswa sekolah menengah pertama (SMP/MTs). Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian etnografi. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah guru dan para siswa SMPN 1 Sembalun Lombok Timur serta Masyarakat Sembalun Lombok Timur. Analisis yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data, menyajikan data, dan menarik simpulan atau verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 4 jenis kearifan lokal yang dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber belajar siswa, yaitu kearifan lokal Tari Tandang Mendet, Adat Ngayu- Ayu, Rumah Adat Bale Beleq dan Tari Cupak Gerantang. Berdasarkan jenis kearifan lokal yang telah didapatkan maka diklasifikan menjadi kearifan lokal yang berwujud nyata, sehingga pemanfaatan kearifan lokal ini dapat menjadi sumber atau media belajar dengan dikembangkan menjadi modul digital IPA.

Abstract

The limitations of the available science modules, because they have not integrated local wisdom and recitation in the contextual learning process to support students' digital literacy. This study aims for the development of a digital science module because it is based on local wisdom containing recitation for improvements to student digital literacy within the junior high school level. This type of research researches as well as develops through adaptation of the four-D (4D) model with a qualitative approach regarding product trials. 4D has 4 stages that are definition, design, develop, also to disseminate. The design of the digital science module is on a local wisdom base. That program contains local wisdom of Sembalun Village, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. The digital module's validity, practicality, and effectiveness were each put to a test. Experts on materials confirmed the test having 93.75% in a feasible category. Experts in media plus experts in recitation programs validated it, with 96.42% and 95% in a feasible category. The teachers' practical test showed 96% very practical as the students' small scale field trial showed 96% very feasible. The next test checks whether the digital science module effectively improves students' digital literacy since researchers measured it qualitatively, gaining an N-Gain of 0.54. Results from the t-test are at 0.008, meaning digital literacy increased differently before and after the learning. The novelty in this study is the local wisdom-based science digital module strengthens the digitalization of student learning and recitation contextually and holistically. Abstract

Stunting is a persistent public health concern in Indonesia. Although national efforts to reduce stunting have been widely implemented, the integration of local cultural practices into community-based prevention strategies has received limited attention. This study aimed to identify the local wisdom of the Sasak people that can provide sustainable solutions for stunting prevention. This study employed a descriptive qualitative design and an exploratory ethnographic approach. The study was conducted in two high-burden stunting districts, East Lombok and North Lombok, Indonesia, from August to December 2025. Ten participants, including mothers, community health volunteers, and Sasak traditional leaders, were purposively selected. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis, which involved data reduction, categorization, and interpretation. Several forms of local wisdom related to maternal and child health were identified, including traditional postpartum care practices, the consumption of nutritious local foods, breastfeeding traditions extending up to 24 months, and culturally based food taboos. Sasak local wisdom plays an important role in preventing stunting. In particular, the consumption of nutritious local foods and traditional postpartum practices supports maternal and child health. Furthermore, breastfeeding practices up to 24 months, which are influenced by cultural and religious values, promote exclusive breastfeeding and sustained optimal infant feeding practices. In conclusion, the local wisdom of the Sasak ethnic community has the potential to serve as a sustainable approach to stunting prevention, as these practices are deeply embedded in the community’s cultural and social lives.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the level and characteristics of physics conceptual understanding among prospective science teachers in the Tadris IPA Biology program. The research employed a quantitative descriptive design using a survey method. Participants were 42 first-semester students enrolled in the Basic Physics course. Data were collected through a reasoning-based multiple-choice test consisting of ten valid items with a reliability coefficient of α = 0.623. The tested topics included quantities and measurements, linear and circular motion, temperature and heat, and optics. Descriptive statistical analysis and documentation of students’ written reasoning were used to identify conceptual difficulties and misconceptions. The results showed that students’ overall conceptual understanding was in the moderate category (3.95). The most frequent misconceptions occurred in the concepts of significant figures, acceleration in circular motion, heat transfer, and lens power in optics. These misconceptions were influenced by students’ weak conceptual understanding, reliance on rote memorization and intuitive reasoning, insufficient interactive and repetitive instruction, and the influence of prior learning or everyday experiences. These findings suggest that the learning process in the Tadris IPA Biology program should place greater emphasis on conceptual reinforcement, reasoning-based learning, and multi-representational approaches to improve students’ understanding of physics concepts.
