Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pemahaman konsep dan konsistensi mahasiswa dalam menggunakan konsep saat menyelesaikan soal fisika pada topik kecepatan dalam berbagai format representasi. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan 4 soal pilihan ganda beralasan dalam format representasi berbeda. Penelitian dilakukan pada 26 mahasiswa S1 pendidikan fisika dan 22 mahasiswa S1 fisika tahun pertama di Universitas Negeri Malang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemahaman konsep kecepatan masih tergolong rendah yang ditandai dengan rata-rata skor mahasiswa hanya mencapai 43,49. Selain itu, alasan yang diberikan mahasiswa menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa tidak konsisten dalam mendefinisikan kecepatan karena pemahaman yang belum utuh. Beberapa kekeliruan mahasiswa diantaranya: (1) kecepatan adalah posisi per satuan waktu tempuh, (2), (3) tanpa memahami bahwa persamaan tersebut hanya benar jika percepatan konstan, (4), dan (5) tidak memperhatikan tanda (+/-) pada kecepatan. This study aims to look at the students conceptual understanding and the students’ consistency in used concept when them solved the physics problems in velocity with variety of representation formats. There are 4 MCQs reasoned in a different format representations to achieve these goals. The study was conducted on 26 S1 physical education students and 22 S1 physics students in first year. The results showed that the students’ conceptual understanding is still relatively low which is characterized by an average score of students reached only 43.49. Moreover, the reason given students showed that students are still not consistent in defining velocity due to knowledge in pieces. Some students’ mistakes are: (1) Velocity is the position per unit of time, (2), (3) without understanding that this equation is only true if the acceleration is constant, (4), and (5) do not pay attention to the sign (+/-) on velocity.

Abstract

Humans are diverse, full of differences, unique, and have a mindset of each, there are always hidden sides in it, dark corners that must be read carefully and carefully to lead to the true meaning because they all have the possibility to be interpreted. and interesting to be appreciated. Likewise, the novel Lauh Mahfuz by Nugroho Suksmanto, which is full of meaningful messages related to understanding religion, overcoming differences and harmonizing diversity. It needs to be known and understood that to understand it is not only built through the arrangement of events, but can also be raised through the background of certain social and cultural systems. In the novel Lauh Mahfuz, the character becomes a "double articulation" of personality that has a view, also its actions are projections of discourse. The existence of Shaykh Abu Salaf and Shaykh Ibn Khalaf, for example, can be identified as two figures who have two big views - which in context we can relate to the existence of the Salaf and the Khalaf. The novel Lauh Mahfuz gives us a beam of light to realize the true nature of conflict-filled differences. We feel invited to enter a room that has many doors to turn on the light in the heart and understand religious life humanist and open to differences.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh collaborative learning dengan teknik jumping task terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan  hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi exsperiment) dengan rancangan Posttest-Only Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Kota Malang. Sampel dipilih berdasarkan teknik cluster random sampling untuk belajar menggunakan collaborative learning dengan teknik jumping task. Instrumen yang digunakan  dalam penelitian ini berupa tes pilihan ganda untuk mengukur hasil belajar kognitif dan tes uraian untuk mengukur keterampilan berpikir kritis. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar kognitif antara siswa yang belajar menggunakan collaborative learning  dengan teknik jumping task  dan siswa yang belajar menggunakan collaborative learning. Keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa yang belajar menggunakan colaborative learning lebih rendah dari pada siswa yang belajar menggunakan collaborative learning dengan teknik jumping task, hal ini disebabkan oleh penggunaan teknik jumping task yang meningkatkan kegiatan kolaborasi dalam menyelesaikan masalah bersama.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA yang valid dan layak, serta teruji keefekfitasannya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir ilmiah dan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa. Desain penelitian pengembangan menggunakan 4D dari Thiagarajan, yang terdiri dari 4 langkah yaitu define, desain, develop dan dessiminate. Sedangkan uji efektifitas menggunakan desain kuasi eksperimen, dengan mengambil kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan bahan ajar hasil pengembangan, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan bahan ajar yang biasa digunakan. Hasil uji kelayakan produk pengembangan berupa perangkat pembelajaran IPA yang terdiri dari buku ajar dan media pembelajaran diperoleh rata-rata skor sebesar 87,43 persen dan 87,31 persen. Ini berarti perangkat pembelajaran dinyatakan layak untuk digunakan. Hasil uji terbatas perangkat pembelajaran memiliki rata-rata skor sebesar 80,55 persen. Hasil uji efektifitas produk pengembangan menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen pada kemampuan berpikir ilmiah dan berpikir tingkat siswa. Perangkat pembelajaran IPA efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir ilmiah dan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama.

Abstract

KAJIAN STRUKTUR KRISTAL DAN DIELEKTRISITAS NANOPARTIKEL MAGNETITE BERBASIS PASIR BESI DOPING Zn2+ HASIL SINTESIS METODE KOPRESIPITASI. Nanopartikel Fe3O4 berbasis pasir besi doping ion Zn2+ telah berhasil disintesis melalui metode kopresipitasi pada suhu rendah. Bahan-bahan yang digunakan adalah pasir besi sebagai bahan utama, ZnCl2, HCl dan NH4OH. Karakterisasi dilakukan menggunakan X-Ray Flourescence (XRF), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) dan kapasitansi meter digital AD5822. Hasil uji XRF menunjukkan bahwa komposisi unsur sampel sesuai dengan stoikiometri. Identifikasi fasa menggunakan sotware High Score Plus dan DDView+PDF2 menunjukan bahwa seluruh sampel terbentuk dalam fasa spinel kubik. Hasil analisis refinement menggunakan sofware Reitica menunjukkan semakin banyak doping ion Zn2+ pada Fe3O4, nilai parameter kisi kristal juga meningkat dengan ukuran kristal berorde nanometer. Hal ini sebagai konsekuensi dari pengaruh ukuran jari-jari ion Zn2+ yang menggantikan ion Fe2+. Sementara hasil uji dielekrisitas menunjukkan dengan meningkatnya doping ion Zn2+ pada Fe3O4, nilai dielektrisitasnya juga meningkat. Mekanisme ini adalah fenomena polarisasi ionik sebagai akibat dari menurunnya volume kristal dan jarak antar atom, sehingga momen dipol semakin besar.

Abstract

The quantum Diesel of a single fermion in 1D box system has been explored. The Fermion particle meets the Dirac's relativistic Hamiltonian with a chosen mass worth zero. This Relativistic Diesel engine research aims to obtain Diesel engine efficiency that utilizes massless fermion particles as a working substance. This study implements a modified analogy model of the classical analogue model to quantum with the implementation of the first law of thermodynamics for quantum systems so that quantum thermodynamic processes can be defined explicitly. The exploratory results of a single quantum fermion Diesel engine of a single massless system are efficiency formulation that is suitable for the efficiency of a classic Diesel engine, but its heat capacity ratio is unique, that is 2. Based on the value of heat capacity ratio, the efficiency is higher than the classical.

Abstract

Ferrofluids for temperature sensor application become one of the important modern technology applications. Therefore, the development of the beach sand-based ferrofluids for temperature sensor becomes new and essential things for cutting off their production. In this research, the preliminary investigation of the temperature sensor is developed based on the chromium ferrite ferrofluids. The sample in powder and fluid were prepared by coprecipitation-sonochemical technique.   The powder sample which was characterized by XRD has the crystallite size of 10 nm with high purity. Abstract

Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles have been investigated intensively related to their applications such as in optical band gap energy for semiconductor application. In general, the characterization of band gap energy of the ZnO nanoparticles has been carried out using UV-Vis spectroscopy. In this work, ionization energy-tight binding model was developed to analyze the optical binding energy of the ZnO nanoparticles. The primary technique of the electronic structure calculation was an analytical calculation of overlap integral of 2p orbital from O and 3d orbital from Zn. The result of the calculation presents that the maximum bandgap energy of ZnO particles is about of 4.4 eV. This result is almost similar to band gap energy of the ZnO nanoparticles showing by experimental result. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um024v3i22018p038

Abstract

TiO2 is a semiconductor material that widely applied in various fields due to its superiority both in terms of physical and chemical properties. In this study, the TiO2 nanoparticles was synthesized using sol-gel method. The synthesis of TiO2 nanoparticles was started by reacted TiCl3 with aquades and titrated with ammonium hydroxide and then followed by calcination process at 600 0C for 1.5 hours. The structural characteristics were investigated using XRD. The fungsional groups of the TiO2 nanoparticles were characterized by FTIR. The optical properties of the TiO2 nanoparticles were determined using UV-Vis spectrometer. The morphology of the sample was characterized using SEM. The results show that the TiO2 has structure as anatase phase. The data analysis using the Scherrer’s equation show that the particle crystallite size of is about of 9.77 nm. The energy band gap value of the TiO2 is 3.28 eV. Based on the SEM image, the agglomeration of the sample was formed with the average diameter of particle size of TiO2 is about 92 nm.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um024v3i12018p008
