Abstract

This study addresses a significant research gap by integrating paired storytelling with audiovisual tools to enhance students' speaking skills through active participation, emotional engagement, and technological support, moving beyond traditional content-focused approaches. It explores the implementation and effectiveness of paired storytelling in improving the speaking skills of fifth-semester students in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Program at FKIP Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar. The study contributes to developing innovative teaching strategies that foster communication skills and critical thinking by answering whether and how the paired storytelling method enhances speaking performance. A classroom action research design comprised three stages: pre-cycle, Cycle 1, and Cycle 2. Data were collected through tests and direct practice sessions. Baseline performance was established in the pre-cycle phase, while subsequent cycles implemented and refined the paired-storytelling method to assess its impact. The findings revealed significant improvements in students' speaking skills. In the pre-cycle, the average score was 64.2, with most students scoring below the success indicator 80. After implementing the method in Cycle 1, the average score rose to 79.0, with 80% meeting the criteria. By Cycle 2, all students surpassed the indicator, achieving an average score of 89.73. These results underscore the method's effectiveness in fostering confidence and improving linguistic abilities

Abstract

Penokohan tidak hanya berfungsi menghadirkan pelaku cerita, tetapi juga merefleksikan berbagai dimensi kehidupan manusia, baik fisiologis, psikologis, maupun sosiologis. Cerpen Istri Sempurna karya Aveus Har mengangkat kehidupan rumah tangga tokoh “aku”, seorang pria yang menikah dengan sebuah gynoid (robot). Tokoh aku digambarkan sebagai individu dengan kecenderungan terhadap konsumsi alkohol dan kehidupan yang monoton. Transformasi karakter terjadi setelah ia menikah dengan sosok istri yang berupa robot. Ia menjadi lebih ceria dan bersemangat. Perubahan bersifat sementara, karena ia menganggap istrinya terlalu sempurna sehingga tidak mampu memenuhi kebutuhan emosionalnya secara utuh. Sementara itu, karakter istri digambarkan memiliki sifat menyerupai manusia, seperti bercanda dan menyukai kebersihan. Teknik pelukisan tokoh menggunakan teknik uraian sehingga memudahkan pembaca dalam memahami karakter masing-masing tokoh secara komprehensif

Abstract

Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di sekolah harus selalu beradaptasi dengan teknologi informasi di era revolusi industri. Modul digital merupakan modifikasi dari modul konvensional dengan memadukan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi, sehingga modul yang ada dapat lebih menarik dan interkatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi siswa terhadap modul digital berbasis gender sebagai suplemen pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan instrument penelitian berupa kuesioner dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul digital berbasis gender mendapatkan respon positif dari siswa dan guru. Modul digital berbasis gender ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan keberhasilan siswa dalam belajar yang responsive gender. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah guru selalu beradaftsi dengan teknologi informasi untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang inovatif di kelas

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the ChatGPT-assisted inquiry method in improving the descriptive writing skills of seventh-grade students in Class VII B at SMP PGRI 2 Denpasar. This study is a classroom action research project consisting of the planning, action, observation, and reflection phases. Data were collected through tests, observations, questionnaires, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The results indicate an improvement in students’ writing skills, with an average pre-test score of 53.4, increasing to 81.94 in Cycle I, and 90.19 in Cycle II. Student engagement also increased from 58.78% (sufficient category) in Cycle I to 83.78% (very good category) in Cycle II. Student responses to the implementation of this method were very positive, with a percentage of 85.80%. This study contributes an alternative technology-based learning innovation that teachers can utilize to improve students’ writing skills more effectively and interactively.
