Abstract

Presentation affects the development of English-speaking skills because it requires good and fluent English-speaking skills. In fact, many students are not motivated to perform in-class presentations, especially using English. The study was conducted with the aim of evaluating the effectiveness of a presentation-based language learning approach The study was conducted using a survey design. The data is collected from 36 sample computer students through questionnaires. Interpreting the result of questionnaires and drawing conclusions is the way to analyze the data. Based on the results and findings, recommendations are made for how presentations can be used to enhance the English language skills of computer students are generally interested in and motivated by presentations to improve their English language skills. The majority of respondents stated that they were motivated to attend such presentations, and all agreed that they had gained a better understanding of the technical terms of computer science. For further improvement, there were various opinions on how the presentations could be improved to better enhance English language skills

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the practice method given to students in the context of subject-verb agreement. The research method used is the descriptive qualitative method, which leads to an in-depth analysis of the common error patterns of the students, as well as to observe the development of students' understanding over time. The results of this study show that the subject-verb agreement learning method has a positive impact on students' understanding and enables them to master this concept well. The implication of this study is the importance of using effective learning methods in overcoming subject and verb agreement errors, which are important aspects of English grammar. With the right approach, students can improve their understanding of subject and verb rules in English, thus improving their overall language skills.

Abstract

Firm value playsimportant role in maximizing shareholder profits at a time of rising share prices. Risingcompany share price will improve shareholders' welfare. Firm value is important to investors becauseit is an indicator of the market in measuring the company as a whole. The purpose of the research is toanalyze the influence of free cash flow and profitability on firm value by mediated by dividend policy. This research is based on several theories including Agency Theory, Signaling Theory, Agency CostTheory, Firm Value, Profitability, Free Cash Flow, and Dividend Policy. The object of research s amanufacturing company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2015-2017 with 60companies as the sample. Analysis techniques used by Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). Theresults of the research include (1), there is a positive and significant influence of free cash flow on firmvalue (2) there is a positive and significant influence of profitability on firm value, (3) there is a positifveand significant influence of free cash flow on dividend policy, (4) there is no influence of profitabilityon dividend policy, (5) there is a positive and significant influence of dividend policy on firm value, (6)dividend policy can’t mediate the effect of profitability on firm value, and (7) dividend policy canmediate the influence of free cash flow on firm value.Keywords : Profitability, Free Cash Flow, Dividend Policy, dan Firm Value

Abstract

Company value is very important for shareholders to gain profits in their share peculiarities. Many fundamental factors can increase company value. This study aims to determine the effect of company size and profitability factors on firm value. This research was conducted at consumer goods companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2015-2017 period. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. Data analysis techniques used were data pooling test, classical assumptions test, and hypothesis test with the help of SPSS 20 and SmartPLS 3 programs. The results of this study indicate that firm size has a positive effect on firm value and profitability has a positive effect on firm value. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that firm size and profitability have a positive effect on the firm value of consumer goods companies. Abstract

The results show that firm size has a positive effect on firm value and profitability has a positive influence on firm value. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that company size and profitability have a positive effect on the value of consumer goods companies. Abstract

With the development of internet and social media technologies, businesses are now able to interact with consumers directly and interactively through digital platforms, however, there is still a lack of understanding of the challenges and potential limitations faced by businesses in adopting and utilizing these technologies effectively. The purpose of this study is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the latest applications of emerging technologies for digital marketing, as well as to provide practical recommendations for companies to optimize the use of these technologies in digital marketing strategies. Data collection and analysis using a literature-based research approach. The rapid development of digital technology has influenced society in supporting various business activities in Indonesia, and many digital platforms help promote products to be sold or promoted. Although digital technology offers many benefits, it also presents challenges and risks. With the trend of digital marketing. This change shows that digital marketing has become a very effective medium for product promotion. By utilizing social media and digital marketing strategies, businesses can reach a wider target market, attract potential customers, and increase sales volume significantly. However, this also comes with challenges and risks. Data security and privacy are important considerations, especially when companies conduct online transactions and store customer data. This report emphasizes the importance of maintaining data security and privacy to build customer trust.

Abstract

Kegiatan abdimas ini bertujuan untuk membantu peserta mengatasi kendala dalam berbahasa Inggris, meningkatkan kemampuan, dan memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai format dan tipe soal yang akan muncul dalam ujian TOEFL. Dengan demikian, peserta akan lebih siap dalam menghadapi ujian TOEFL dan meningkatkan peluang mereka untuk mencapai tujuan akademis dan profesional. Keberhasilan dalam ujian ini juga akan memberikan dampak positif bagi pengembangan pribadi peserta, meningkatkan kepercayaan diri, serta memberikan manfaat sosial dan ekonomi di masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (abdimas) berupa pelatihan TOEFL Preparation telah berhasil memberikan dampak positif bagi para peserta yang ingin mempersiapkan diri menghadapi ujian TOEFL

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran  Bahasa Inggris yang dilakukan secara blended learning. Kualitatif- deskriptif  adalah metode yang diterapkan dalam peneltian ini. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa persepsi mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Inggris secara blended learing yang meliputi suasana belajar, materi perkuliahan, performa dosen serta tugas yang diberikan oleh dosen menunjukkan persepsi yang sangat baik dari mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian juga mempersepsikan bahwa interaksi dan suasana yang terjadi selama proses kegiatan belajar mengajar, pemantauan terhadap peserta belajar harus tetap terkendali terutama dalam hal kemajuan belajar, memberikan kegiatan instruksional yang membangkitkan motivasi serta efek afektif kepada peserta belajar baik pembelajaran secara tatap muka maupun online. Peningkatan keterampilan terhadap penguasaan teknologi dalam mengajar harus menjadi perhatian dan kesadarn bagi setiap dosen

Abstract

This study aims to explore teachers' perceptions of challenges in English language teaching and the strategies they use to overcome these challenges. This study used a qualitative approach with a judgement sampling method. The participants selected were 23 teachers who teach English at all levels of education, ranging from primary school to university. The data was collected through a survey distributed using google form, the survey was conducted to gather the experiences, and opinions of the teachers regarding the challenges they face in teaching English. The results showed that the different ability levels of students, time constraints, availability of teaching resources, and the perception of English as a foreign language were the main challenges faced by the teachers. To overcome these challenges, teachers use various strategies, including attending training and seminars, using technology in teaching, and conducting continuous evaluation and assessment. In addition, collaboration among teachers and increased professional training are also considered important in overcoming challenges in English language teaching. The findings provide valuable insights for the development of more effective strategies and policies to improve the quality of English language teaching in schools.

Abstract

This research addresses obstacles to effective English communication, focusing on essential language competencies—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—that are critical in global business. It explores which language skills are most important for international business communication and examines the impact of language proficiency on professional success. The goal of the study is to identify these key competencies for successful global business interactions and to provide insight into which skills professionals should focus on developing. To achieve this, a systematic literature review is conducted, establishing a structured theoretical framework by drawing on findings from previous research. The study concludes that essential language competencies for global business success include verbal communication, writing skills, cross-cultural understanding, listening, and negotiation abilities. Among these, verbal skills in English, as an international language, are especially crucial in settings such as presentations, meetings, and negotiations. Effective verbal communication requires not only mastery of grammar but also the ability to use non-verbal cues, like intonation and body language, to reinforce and clarify messages. These competencies are emphasized as crucial for professionals who wish to excel in the global business landscape, where effective communication can significantly influence outcomes. The findings suggest that developing both language and cultural understanding equips professionals to engage more effectively across linguistic and cultural boundaries, enhancing their ability to negotiate, collaborate, and succeed in diverse business environments.
