Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi profil berpikir siswa dengan tingkat kemampuan matematika tinggi kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Poso Pesisir Utara dalam pemecahan masalah sistem persamaan linear dua variabel (SPLDV). Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII yang memiliki tingkat kemampuan matematika tinggi. Hasil penenlitian ini adalah subjek berkemampuan matematika tinggi, melakukan proses berpikir asimilasi pada tahap memahami masalah, melaksanakan rencana pemecahan masalah dan memeriksa kembali dan melakukan proses berpikir asimilasi dan akomodasi pada tahap menyusun rencana pemecahan masalah.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain a description of students' problem-solving abilities on rhombus material in class VII SMPN 6 Banawa in terms of gender differences. This study uses a qualitative method with a qualitative descriptive approach based on the problem solving steps proposed by Polya. The results of this study indicate that male and female subjects in solving mathematical problems on rhombus material are as follows. (1) in understanding the problem, male and female subjects read the problem repeatedly, to determine what is known and asked in the question. (2) in planning problem solving, male and female subjects have the same solution, namely by assuming and using the formula for the area of ​​a rhombus. (3) in carrying out the problem-solving plan, male and female subjects solved the problem according to the plan that had been made previously, namely by using the formula for the area of ​​a rhombus but the male subject could not find the final answer. (4) in re-examining the answers of male and female subjects, write down how to check answers, using the substitution method, namely substituting the value obtained into the rhombus formula if there is a similarity in the results between the left and right sides then the answer is considered correct but the subject is male. unable to re-check the answers obtained, this is because male subjects cannot solve the problems given.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a description of students' abilities in solving HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill) Type Number Pattern Problems Based on the Mathematics Ability of Class VIII B SMP IT (Integrated Islam) Qurrata A'yun Palu. This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach based on the problem-solving steps put forward by Polya. The results showed that subjects with high-level thinking skills and moderate-level thinking skills in solving mathematical problems with number patterns were as follows: (1) in understanding the problem, students with high-order thinking skills and moderate-level thinking skills demonstrated an understanding that was relevant to gathering information. The information contained in the problem can identify the problem of the problem with knowledge of the sentence "statement". (2) in planning problem solving, high-level ability subjects can plan a good strategy to achieve the goals in a problem and can choose relevant information from the problem. Meanwhile, subjects with moderate ability are quite good at planning problem solving however formulating a strategy is still not appropriate to be able to solve the problem properly. (3) in carrying out a problem-solving plan, subjects with high levels of ability are very good at executing, and carrying out planning and are able to organize and integrate problems with relevant prior knowledge, as well as subjects with moderate levels of ability (4) in re-examining, high subjects re-examining because it can monitor, check or detect the final results and unexpected events. Meanwhile, subjects with moderate ability did not re-examine because they felt unsure about solving the problems they were doing.   Keywords: ability analysis, HOTs type questions, learning outcomes, response quality, number patterns

Abstract

This study aims to obtain an overview of fractional problem solving in terms of mathematical ability in class VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Pamona Timur. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects consisted of three students with high, medium and low abilities. Data collection techniques in this study were written tests and interviews. The results of this study indicate that the subject's ability to solve fraction problems according to Polya's stages are as follows: (1) the stages of understanding the problem of high, medium, and low ability subjects read repetitive problems, mention information that is known based on declarative sentences and information asked based on imperative sentences or question of the problem appropriately. (2) the stage of preparing a problem solving plan for subjects with high, medium, and low abilities in making a problem solving plan, namely stating the information asked to make a mathematical model in the form of adding and subtracting fractions based on what is known correctly. (3) the stage of carrying out the problem-solving plan, high-ability subjects carry out the problem-solving plan in accordance with what has been planned correctly, while subjects with moderate and low ability carry out the problem-solving plan according to what was planned beforehand but not quite right. (4) the stage of re-examining the results of solving high-skilled subjects did not write down how to check answers, but when interviewed by researchers, high-skilled subjects were able to re-check the answers that had been written down. Meanwhile, subjects with medium and low abilities were sure of their answers and did not re-check their answers, because they did not understand how to re-check their answers

Abstract

This research is aimed to obtain error description by students on math midterm at SMP Bala Keselamatan Balamoa based on Newman. This research is descriptive research which used qualitative approach. The data was collected using documentation and interview. The result shows that: (1) the kind of numerical pattern material is a mistake in comprehension error (comprehension error), transformation error (transformation error), process skill error (process skill error), and encoding error (encoding error). (2) kind of errors in kartesius coordinate is comprehension error (comprehension error), transformation error (transformation error), and encoding error (encoding error). (3) error in relation and function material is comprehension error (comprehension error), transformation error (transformation error), and encoding error (encoding error).

Abstract

This study aims to describe of the Quantum teaching Model with a Scientific approach that can improve Student Learning Outcomes in Class VIII B SMP Negeri 13 Palu on the material around and the Area of the Circle. This research is Classroom Action Research model by Kemmis and Taggart which consists of four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, reflecting. This research was conducted in two cycles. In the first cycle the number of students who completed was 14 students with 58,33% completeness percentage and in the second cycle there were many student who completed 19 students with 76% completeness percentage. The result of observations of teacher activity in the good category and have increased in the second cycle in the very good category. The result of observation of student activities in the first cycle are in the good category and have increased in the second cycle in the very good category. The subjects of this study were 25 students and three were selected as infomants, the result showed that learning by collaborative learning models Quantum teaching with a scientific approach could improve student learning outcomes in class VIII B of SMP Negeri 13 Palu on the material around and the area of the circle, with six components namely : (1) Grow, (2) natural, (3) name, (4) demonstrate, (5) repeat, and (6) celebrate

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pemfaktoran bentuk aljabar di kelas VIII SMPN 20 Palu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang mengacu pada desain Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 20 Palu yang berjumlah 26 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui observasi, tes tertulis, wawancara dan catatan lapangan. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus, dan masing-masing siklus dilaksanakan dalam dua kali pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pemfaktoran bentuk aljabar di kelas VIII SMPN 20 Palu dengan mengikuti fase-fase, yaitu: (1) pemberian orientasi, (2) think, (3) pair, (4) share, dan (5) penghargaan. Kata Kunci: Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share, hasil belajar siswa, pemfaktoran bentuk aljabar.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi penarikan kesimpulan logika matematika di kelas XA SMA Karuna Dipa Palu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Rancangan penelitian ini mengacu pada model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang terdiri dari empat komponen, yaitu (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi, dan (4) refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XA SMA Karuna Dipa Palu yang berjumlah 23 siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Data pada penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi, wawancara, catatan lapangan, dan data hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi penarikan kesimpulan logika matematika di kelas XA SMA Karuna Dipa Palu mengikuti langkah-langkah yaitu (1) think, (2) pair dan (3) share. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pertidaksamaan linear satu variabel di kelas VII SMPN 12 Palu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Rancangan penelitian ini mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 12 Palu yang berjumlah 20 siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Data pada penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui lembar observasi, wawancara, catatan lapangan, dan data hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi pertidaksamaan linear satu variabel di kelas VII SMPN 12 Palu yaitu dengan mengikuti fase-fase sebagai berikut: 1) fase penyampaian tujuan dan pemotivasian siswa, 2) fase penyajian informasi, 3) fase pengorganisasian kelompok belajar dan penomoran, 4) fase pengajuan pertanyaan atau masalah, 5) fase berpikir bersama, 6) fase pemberian jawaban, 7) fase pemberian penghargaan. Kata Kunci: Numbered Head’s Togther, hasil belajar, pertidaksamaan linear satu variabel. Abstract: This research aim to obtain a description about implementation of applying Cooperative Learning Type Numbered Head’s Together that can improve student’s learning out comes on linier inequality with one variable material in Class VII SMPN 12 Palu. Kind of this research is classroom action research. The design of this research refers to research design and Mc. Kemmis Taggart. The subject were students of class VIIA SMPN 12 Palu totaling twenty students. This research was conducted in two cycles. Data of this research was collected through observation sheet, interview, note fields, and data of student’s learning outcomes. The results of the research showed that the application of Cooperative Learning Type NHT can improve student’s learning outcomes on linier inequality with one variable material in Class VII SMPN 12 Palu. it follow the phases: 1) conveying the learning objective and motivating, 2) presenting information, 3) organizing study group and numbering, 4) questioning or probleming, 5) heads together, 6) answering, 7) giving appreciation. Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi operasi hitung matriks di kelas X SMK Justitia Palu. Rancangan penelitian ini mengacu pada desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe talking stick yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi operasi hitung matriks di kelas X SMK Justitia Palu dengan menerapkan fase-fase: 1) menyampaikan tujuan dan mempersiapkan siswa, 2) menyajikan informasi, 3) mengorganisir siswa ke dalam kelompok belajar, 4) membantu kerja tim dan belajar, 5) mengevaluasi dan 6) memberikan pengakuan atau penghargaan. Kata kunci: Talking stick, hasil belajar, operasi hitung matriks Abstract: This research aimed to describe the application of cooperative learning model type talking stick to improve student learning outcomes on matrix operations at grade X SMK Justitia Palu. The design of this research referred to Kemmis and Mc. Taggart that were planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The result of this research showed that the application of talking stick model can improve student learning outcomes through the phases: 1) present goal and set, 2) present information, 3) organize student into learning teams, 4) assit team work and study, 5) test on material and 6) provide recognition.
