Abstract

The partners of this Community Partnership Program were the Elementary School Teachers Working Group ofclusters I and II, District of Banawa Selatan. Problem faced by the partners was that members of the Teachers Working Groupstill had difficulties in developing professions, writing, and publishing scientific papers, especially Classroom Action Research(CAR). The problem was including a) designing CAR implementation (determining ways of problem identification, choosingand formulation topic and title of the CAR), b) applying learning models in the CAR implementation, c) determining librarysearch techniques, d) making research instruments and data presentation techniques, determining techniques of datacollection, analysis, and interpretation in the CAR activities and e) determining CAR reporting techniques. The objective ofthis study was to improve teachers? activities in arranging scientific works, especially the Classroom Action Research that canbe taken as a way to improve teachers? professionalism compet ence. Methods used in the study were holding training andworkshop of CAR implementation, making research instruments, processing and analizing data found by the research.Furthermore, what was done was to assist partners in the preparation of and publication CAR reports and in processing CARresearch results data in the form of scientific articles and published in ISBN journals or scientific seminarsat national level.The workshop and training in the preparation and publication of scientific works were very beneficial for the TeachersWorking Group in Banawa Selatan region which had been difficult to meet the promotion requirements in the field ofscientific writing. In the application of the article preparation practice, three members of the Teachers Working Group in theBanawa SelatanDistrict have made Classroom Action Research reports, processed data and written in scientific articles

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan secara rinci karakteristik kemampuan guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran berbasis kurikulum 2013. Kemampuan guru dalam melakukan pembelajaran berbasis kurikulum 2013 difokuskan pada proses pembelajaran divergen dan konvergen. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru matematika yang sudah berpengalaman dan guru pemula di Kota Palu. Teknik pengambilan subjek penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling, karena banyaknya subjek penelitian tergantung pada keadaan data dari lapangan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara merekam pelaksanaan pembelejaran di kelas yang berbasis kurikulum 2013. Berdasarkan hasil observasi pada dokumentasi tersebut, lalu subjek penelitian diwawancara secara mendalam untuk mengungkap karakteristik kemampuan guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran berbasis kurikulum 2013. Hasil wawancara didokumentasikan dengan menggunakan handycam, voice record, dan kamera digital. Untuk menentukan kredibilitas data dilakukan beberapa hal, yaitu (1) dilakukan uji triangulasi, (2) mengadakan member-check, (3) meningkatkan ketekunan dan perpanjangan pengamatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar guru belum mampu melaksanakan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kurikulum 2013. Peneliti juga mengungkapkan bahwa karakteristik kemampuan guru dalam melakukan pembelajaran berbasis kurikulum 2013 lebih menekankan pada proses pembelajaran konvergen dibandingkan divergen. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh deskripsi atau gambaran mengenai profil penalaran analogi siswa kelas IX MTs Alkahairaat Sandana yang memiliki kemampuan matematika tinggi, sedang dan rendah dalam menyelesaikan masalah pythagoras. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 3 orang siswa yang diambil dari 27 siswa kelas IX A MTs Alkhairaat Sandana. Subjek dipilih berdasarkan nilai rapor dan rekomendasi dari guru mata pelajaran. Data diperoleh dari hasil tes tertilis dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa subjek berkemampuan matematika tinggi yaitu MM dapat menyelesaiakan dengan baik keempat indikator tahapan penalaran analogi, yaitu encoding (Pengkodean), inferring (Penyimpulan), mapping (Pemetaan), dan applying (penerapan). Subjek berkemampuan matematika sedang yaitu MA hanya dapat menyelesaiakn tiga indikator tahapan penalaran analogi, yaitu encoding (Pengkodean), inferring (Penyimpulan), dan mapping (Pemetaan). Pada indikator ke-empat applying (penerapan), subjek tidak mampu meyelesaikan masalah target dari proses pengaplikasian struktur penyelesaian masalah sumber atau subjek tidak dapat menentukan panjang sisi AC pada M2. Subjek MA berkemampuan matematika rendah yaitu RA dalam menyelesaikan masalah pythagoras dari keempat indikator tahapan penalaran analogi, subjek hanya dapat menyelesaiakn dua indikator tahapan penalaran analogi, yaitu encoding (Pengkodean), dan inferring (Penyimpulan). Pada indikator ke-tiga yaitu mapping (Pemetaan), subjek RA tidak mengetahui kesamaan/kemiripan dari masalah sumber dan masalah target, subjek RA hanya dapat menemukan panjang sisi BD dengan cara membagi dua panjang sisi AB. Pada indikator ke-empat applying (penerapan), subjek RA tidak mampu meyelesaikan masalah target dari proses pengaplikasian struktur penyelesaian masalah sumber atau subjek tidak dapat menentukan panjang sisi AC pada M2.

Abstract

Mata pelajaran MIPA adalah program untuk menanamkan dan mengembangkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, sikap, dan nilai ilmiah pada siswa serta rasa mencintai dan menghargai kebesaran Tuhan Yang Maha Esa. Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) merupakan hasil kegiatan manusia berupa pengetahuan, gagasan, dan konsep yang terorganisasi tentang alam sekitar yang diperoleh dari pengalaman melalui serangkaian proses ilmiah antara lain penyelidikan, penyusunan, dan pengujian gagasan-gagasan. Pelatihan Pembuatan alat Peraga Sains dan matematika dari barang-barang bekas telah dilaksanakan terhadap Kelompok Kerja Guru (KKG) wilayah gugus VI Kecamatan Palu Selatan terletak pada sebelah Selatan Kota Palu yang mempunyai anggota kelompok 64 orang guru. Anggotanya berasal dari 5 Sekolah Dasar, yakni: SDN I Tatura, SDN II Tatura, SDN Tatanga, SD Inpres Tavanjuka, dan MIS Amalia. Pelaksanaan kegiatan berjalan dengan lancar dan antusias yang tinggi. Materi pelatihan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif yang diberikan sebanyak 9 modul percobaan dengan tingkat capaian keberhasilan 85%. Kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan penahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam membuat alat peraga sains dan matematika dari barang-barang bekas dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Partners of the Community Partnership Program (PKM) are the SD Teachers Working Group (KKG) Cluster I Region. Problems faced by partner groups: 1). The mastery of the teachers / KKG members on the material and discussion of math and science Olympiad questions is still low. 2) The elementary school teachers in the cluster I areas were generally D2 and S1 PGSD alumni, where at the time they were studying only basic mathematics and science material, which had a low level of abstraction. This causes teachers / KKG members in the region to often misunderstand the basic concepts of mathematics and science. 3). In addition, references that can be used as enrichment materials are also lacking, and 4). Available sources to ask questions about the mathematics and science Olympiad material are also lacking, because the South Banawa sub-district is located in the border area of ​​the provinces of Central Sulawesi and West Sulawesi. The goal of PKM is to improve the ability of elementary school teachers to solve math and science Olympiad questions, so that later they can guide students who will take part in the district, provincial and national level Olympiad. The expected output target in PKM activities is that at least 5 KKG members in the cluster I region can work on the 2019 city level Olympic questions, so that they can guide their students to qualify for the provincial level selection. After this activity is completed, the participants are expected to be able to pass on their knowledge to other fellow teachers. The book is the result of discussion of Olympic questions at the city and provincial levels, the work of the regional KKG members to be used as one of the future references. To achieve this target, the method used in this PKM activity is to provide training on material and discussion of mathematics and science Olympiad questions, basic concepts of mathematics and science which are important and support for following mathematics and science materials which require higher analysis. Provide assistance to ensure the material presented to partners can be implemented properly so that the results obtained can reach the target.

Abstract

The absence of digital visualisation in mathematical concepts leads on students' difficulty in learning and affect on lack of students' participation. The study aims to increase students' participation through the implementation of triple integral didactical design assisted by using GeoGebra and Nearpod. GeoGebra is a tool used to help students in finding mathematical concepts as well as demonstration and visualization. In addition, in this didactical design, there are several problem practices and quizzes that were provided by using recorded video from lecturers and processed into digital quizzes on Nearpod. The subjects were 65 students in the third semester of Mathematics Education Study Program who have never taken triple integral course. The research method used was Didactical Design Research. The data were collected by triangulation of observation, interview, and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the percentage of students' participation increases through the implementation of triple integral didactical design assisted by using GeoGebra and Nearpod.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the characteristics of geometry problem solving in junior high school with cognitive style field independent and field dependent. This study used a qualitative method based on Polya's problem solving. The results show that the characteristics of the field independent subject are focusing on the details of problem information, focusing on facts and principles that exist with the problem being asked by relating knowledge and experience that have been studied previously, applying ideas to solve problems and focusing on facts and principles with its own structure, and processing information by checking the results of the work. Characteristics of field dependent subject tend to think globally takes longer, mastering things that have been previously learned and used in new situations, forming a connection between a person's new experience and what is already stored in his mind, and processing information by rechecking the work.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang profil kemampuan literasi matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Bala Keselamatan Palu dalam menyelesaikan soal pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Bala Keselamatan Palu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah tiga orang siswa yang terdiri dari satu siswa berkemampuan tinggi (AD) satu siswa berkemampuan sedang (CT) dan satu siswa berkemampuan rendah (AP). Data kemampuan literasi matematis siswa diperoleh dengan tes tertulis dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pada siswa AD mampu memenuhi indikator literasi pada level 5, siswa CT mampu memenuhi indikator literasi pada level 3 dan siswa AP mampu memenuhi indikator literasi pada level 2.

Abstract

Understanding students' metacognitive skills in solving math problems concerning their mathematical abilities is crucial for identifying the cognitive processes involved in problem-solving. This study investigates the metacognitive skills of SMPN 3 Palu students with varying mathematical abilities in problem-solving. It focuses on students in class VIIJ during the 2022/2023 academic year, individually analyzing one high-ability and one low-ability student. The research, descriptive in nature, employs qualitative methods using written assignments and interviews for data collection. This study's analysis involved condensing data, presenting findings, and drawing conclusions. The findings reveal distinct approaches between high and low mathematical ability subjects. High-ability students consistently apply all three metacognitive skills (planning, monitoring, and assessment) across each problem-solving stage. Conversely, low-ability students demonstrate a limited use of metacognitive skills. While they employ planning at each stage, during implementation and result review, they primarily engage in planning and monitoring, neglecting assessment. Ultimately, it underscores the critical role of metacognitive skills in mathematical problem-solving, highlighting differences in their application between students of varying mathematical abilities.

Abstract

Students' concept understanding needs to be profiled so that teachers can find out the level of description and understanding of students' mathematical concepts. The purpose of this study was to describe how the understanding of students of SMP Negeri Model Integrated Madani Palu in understanding the concept of pythagorean theorem in terms of cognitive style Field Independent (FI) and Field Dependent (FD). This type of research is descriptive with qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were students of class VIII Kihajar Dewantra SMP Negeri Model Integrated Madani Palu consisting of one student cognitive style Field Independent and one student cognitive style Field Dependent selected based on the results of the GEFT test. The instruments used in this study were GEFT test, concept understanding questions and interview guidelines. The results showed that students with Field Independent cognitive style can solve problems well based on indicators of concept understanding compared to students with Gield Dependent cognitive style. Based on these conditions, in the learning process the teacher should pay attention to the learning model used in learning activities.
