This study is to give an alternative of an optimum inventory model for chicken egg livestock industry. The characteristic of the egg livestock industry is very unique; since the chicken breeding performance varies. In a particular span of time, the industry might have ameliorating and deteriorating characteristics. Some farmers nourish several generations at the same time. This study generates a mathematical model to optimize the length time between purchases of a chicken generation to get optimum cost by considering demand seasonality. This study is also generating the algorithm to find the optimum solution in a simple way. Future potential researches are also stated.Keywords: Optimization, inventory, egg, chicken, ameliorating

Recent developments on the worldwide spread of Corona Virus Diseases-19 (COVID-19) show the vulnerability of human beings to pandemic risks in terms of biological, social, and economic factors. While human lives are the most important factor, a proposed solution dealing with pandemics should be sustainable which also includes other factors. Quarantines and physical distancing have been seen as effective ways to slow down the spread of COVID-19. We therefore propose a market scheduling model with multi-objectives to support physical distancing minimizing the number of people in a certain area in a given time (crowds) and minimizing the virus spread rates. An analytical model is proposed and solved for Bandung City. The results show some promising ideas on how to slow down the virus spread without compromising both health and economic objectives. The future potential research of the model is also presented.

Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) are striving to maximize profits through cost’s reduction while maintaining their product qualities and their customer’s satisfaction. ANDALAS is an MSME producing cakes and breads that intuitively purchase its raw material which results in a relatively high purchase cost. We propose a contract-based system using a linear programming approach to manage the purchasing activities of main ingredients. A mathematical model is proposed supporting the purchasing decisions which includes constraints such as: minimum purchase, safety stock, warehouse capacity, and demand’s requirements. The resulting model provides an improvement of 6,30% reduction in purchase costs. The improvement for each ingredient ranges from 4% to 16% where Eggs, Flour, Maizena, Margarine, Butter and Sugar are contractually ordered from one main supplier.

Jumlah pengguna internet yang semakin besar dan tingkat pertumbuhan omzet maupun jumlah start up bisnis electronic commerce (e-commerce) yang tinggi. Sementara itu, pembelian impulsif merupakan satu transaksi yang mendominasi bisnis retail dan menjadi salah satu keunggulan kompetitif perusahaan. Di lain pihak, studi mengenai tingkat efektivitas tampilan website e-commerce yang mendorong pembelian impulsif belum menyentuh aspek atribut tampilan website yang mendorong pembelian impulsif. Maka dari itu, perlu dilakukan studi eksploratori dengan objek penelitian yang diusulkan yaitu tiga situs e-commerce besar di Indonesia yaitu Zalora.co.id, Groupon.co.id, dan Bhinneka.com.Luaran penelitian ini adalah implikasi manajerial yaitu penyusunan strategi dasar dalam perancangan website e-commerce untuk meningkatkan pembelian impulsif pada website tersebut. Luaran ini didapatkan dari studi eksploratori dengan atribut tampilan website e-commerce yang berpengaruh terhadap pembelian impulsif menggunakan metode analisis faktor, lalu atribut tersebut dimodelkan matematis menggunakan statistik multivariat untuk mengetahui besar pengaruh atribut tersebut pada pembelian impulsif. Luaran ini juga dapat dijadikan dasar dalam pengembangan strategi lanjutan dalam perancangan website e-commerce.Didapatkan model matematis dari pengaruh faktor tampilan website terhadap pembelian impulsif. Selain itu, juga didapatkan informasi bahwa faktor tampilan website yang mendorong pembelian impulsif pada produk fashion adalah faktor penunjang (0,89) dan faktor service yang diberikan(0,41). Sedangkan pada website yang menjual makanan dan jasa kuliner didapatkan faktor promosi (0,07) dan kemudahan pembelian (0,53) menjadi faktor penting yang harus diperhatikan.

This research explores some potential factors that affect the continuance intention of a mobile payment service. The trend of mobile payment services has been increasing since the last few years. The advancing technology of the internet and smartphone has been a supporting environment for the growth of this method. Many similar mobile payment services are offered in the community which results in a highly competitive business condition. The business owner who has put a high investment in this business will surely want to keep it running and even grow their product. Therefore, some knowledge of factors that can significantly promote the sustained use of their product to customers will be imperative. In this research, some existing models on the general repurchase intention concept and users’ continuance intention will be combined and tested to figure out some influential aspects to continuance intention concept. Seven factors are hypothesized to have direct and indirect effects. Data from 193 respondents are gathered and the results of the tested model shows perceived quality, perceived value, and brand preference subsequently influence the continuance intention. Further analysis is also conducted in this research to explain the relationship between factors as well as analysis of current mobile payment providers.

One-door container type of vehicle is the main tool for urban logistics in Indonesia which may take the form of truck, car, or motorcycle container. The operations would be more effective when it is performed through pickup-delivery or forward-reverse at a time. However, there is difficulty to optimize the operation of routing and container loading processes in such a system. This article is proposing an improvement for algorithm for sequential routing- loading process which had been tested in the small datasets but not yet tested in the case of big data set and vehicle routing problem with time windows. The improvement algorithm is tested in big data set with the input of the vehicle routing problem with time windows (VRP-TW) using the solution optimization of the Simulated Annealing process with restart point procedure (SA-R) for the routing optimization and Genetic Algorithm (GA) to optimize the container loading algorithm. The large data sets are hypothetical generated data for 800-2500 single-sized products, 4 types of container capacity, and 100-400 consumer spots. As result, the performance of the proposed algorithm in terms of cost is influenced by the number of spots to be visited by the vehicle and the vehicle capacity. Limitations and further analysis are also described in this article.

In Indonesia, the number of businesses that do not have a special building is 18.9 million business. One business that does not have a special building is a peddler. A considerable number of peddlers make the productivity and competitiveness of peddlers need to be improved. The problem faced by the peddler is to determine the type and the amount of each type of goods that must be brought each day. If the goods brought too many can cause overstocks that result in remaining goods can not be sold in the next sales period. If the goods brought too few can cause shortages that can lead to loss of opportunities to make sales or profit for a particular type of goods in a particular region. In this research, this problem will be modeled as a robust multi-product newsvendor problem with discrete demand. This model determines the optimal number that everyday peddler must bring for each type of product that maximizes the expected profit from the worst possibility that can occur when only some information from the demand distribution is known. After developing the model, then made a model completion program using Octave software. The case study used in this research is peddler of a bakery shop in Bandung. The results of the implementation of the developed model can increase the average of expected profit obtained by the first and second peddlers by 126.77% and 268.3987% respectively of the average current profit earned by the both peddlers.

Forward and reverse logistics are two types of distribution methods that shall be synergized in practices. Two problems in synergizing the two distributions type are (1) how to route vehicles and (2) how to pack the goods inside the vehicle. A truck with only one door for loading and unloading process could create numerous problems of item packing activities. An item picked up from a customer could occasionally block other goods which need to be delivered; hence, the courier shall unload other items before the loading process. This condition will increase the probability of item damage, longer on-loading/off-loading (lo/lo) time, and higher lo/lo cost because of the rapid item movement. Therefore, this article aims to propose an algorithm to solve the problem by creating an algorithm hybrid of routing and packing to find the solution for routing and packing problem, sequentially, with a metaheuristic approach. The proposed method calculates the cost from routing procedure and sum of item movement in every loading and unloading process. Based on the trial on 25 cases, this algorithm generates 59.64% of the containers have zero goods repacking. Several potential future research avenues are also proposed in this article.

Salah satu produk kebutuhan manusia yang paling mendasar adalah makanan. Banyaknya bisnis makanan di indonesia membuat para pelaku usaha perlu meningkatkan kualitas produknya agar dapat bersaing. Selain rasa dan tampilan makanan, kemasan makanan juga merupakan salah satu faktor yang sangat penting ketika seseorang memilih makanan yang akan dikonsumsi. Kemasan yang menghasilkan pengalaman yang positif bagi konsumen menjadi daya tarik bagi produk untuk terus dikonsumsi oleh konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan metode dan pertimbangan yang perlu dilakukan untuk menghasilkan kemasan makanan untuk menghasilkan pengalaman positif bagi konsumen. Penelitian ini juga mengaplikasikan pengembangan kemasan kepada salah satu UMKM binaan KADIN di Kota Bandung yang bergerak di bidang catering makanan dan restoran. Aplikasi pengembangan kemasan tersebut menghasilkan kemasan makanan yang sederhana namun menghasilkan pengalaman yang menyenangkan (fun) bagi konsumen. Hasil evaluasi rancangan kemasan dengan metode observasi dan wawancara membuktikan bahwa rancangan kemasan menghasilkan pengalaman positif bagi konsumen.

Bangunan mempunyai ruang yang dibentuk dari elemen pembentuk ruang. Setiap ruang memiliki aktivitas yang membutuhkan kenyamanan di dalamnya. Kenyamanan termal merupakan salah satu kebutuhan manusia dalam melakukan aktivitas di dalam ruang. Salah satu pemahaman kenyamanan termal adalah secara adaptif yang dipengaruhi oleh persepsi termal pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentikasi kenyamanan sebuah ruang dilihat dari relasi antara kondisi fisik ruang dan persepsi dari pengguna. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimental model uji dengan simulasi menggunakan alat Virtual Reality. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pengukuran langsung data fisik dan pengisian kuesioner pada responden. Data fisik diolah dengan perhitungan operative temperature. Responden akan melihat eksplorasi elemen pembentuk ruang di dalam alat virtual reality untuk menghasilkan persepsi termal pada ruang. Persepsi termal dan virtual reality ini dilakukan supaya dapat dilakukan eksplorasi yang nantinya akan diarahkan pada desain. Variabel yang dilihat sebagai upaya eksplorasi desain adalah warna dengan temperatur rendah dan warna dengen temperatur tinggi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Virtual Reaility berhubungan dengan pada pembentukan persepsi termal sebuah ruang. Warna dari pembentuk elemen ruang juga mempengaruhi sensasi termal pengguna yang membentuk persepsi pengguna sesuai teori Adaptive Thermal Comfort.
