Abstract

AbstrakPangan merupakan bagian dari peradaban manusia. Pangan tidak sekedar memenuhikebutuhan hidup semata, tetapi juga mengandung sebuah relasi sosial, ekonomi dan politik.Fenomena begitu lekatnya pangan dengan kehidupan keseharian kita hadir dalam wujud pangantradisional sebagai uborampe dalam tradisi Sekaten di Yogyakarta. Di sana, pangan merupakanwujud kebudayaan yang berkaitan erat dengan cara manusia membangun pesan, komunikasi daninteraksi kebudayaan. Pangan dalam ritual syukuran Sekaten, tidak terlepas dari konteks sosiohistorisyang melingkupi masyarakat dankebudayaan Yogyakarta khususnya dan Jawa padaumumnya.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pangan dalam ritual Sekaten merepresentasikanbagaimana pangan lebih dari sekedar kebutuhan dasar, tetapi juga diyakini sebagai bagian dariBerkah dan mampu memberikan rejeki pada anak turun mereka hingga kini. Sekatendiselenggarakan untuk memperingati kelahiran Nabi Muhammad SAW, yang dilakukan oleh rajasebagai penguasa setempat dalam rangka menyiarkan agama Islam dan melestarikan tradisi yangdiwarisinya. Dalam situasi ekonomi global yang memprihatinkan termasuk Indonesia (jugamasyarakat suku Jawa di Yogyakarta), Sekaten tetap diselenggarakan tidak hanya terkait sematatentang pangan tapi juga nilai-nilai luhur yang terkandung di dalamnya.Kata kunci: sekaten, pangan, simbol, interpretasi.

Abstract

“Bakpia Ivan", Small and Medium Business Unit is managed by family and hereditary manner, so that several times there are employee turnover and sometimes causes the production process to be slightly inhibited. Another thing that is a problem is the lack of awareness of the product packaging process (creative packaging) that is able to attract consumer interest and from the side of packaging security. This problem is linear unoptimal brand awareness and brand patent rights, so that when the product arrives at the reseller, the packaging is often replaced with other brands even though the contents are Bakpia Ivan. The purpose of this public service activity, first is to increase awareness of product packaging, positioning. Secondly, providing socialization and training about creative packaging, starting from the most basic capabilities. The method used in this activity is socialization and training. First, socializing and demonstrating how to begin packaging. Secondly, renew the logo design. Third, conduct social experiments related to logo renewal. The result of this activity is the acceptance of product packaging updates by the market so it can be expand sales and market segmentation. Abstract

This research aims to uncover the construction of culinary culture, on the empirical level that presents a socio-political reality, where 'food' can trigger a constellation of interests over the power of certain groups. At the level of ‘symbolic’ food represents identity, language, culture and construction of reality. This phenomenon is symbolically present through television media, one of which shows the cooking competition of Indonesian Master Chef. This research uses textual analysis. By using Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis to uncover the construction of culinary culture in the Indonesian Master Chef program. This analysis uses three stages of practice of citizenship at the micro level (audio visual text), meso (consumption and production of text) and macro (connecting text networks with social conditions). The analysis of selected scenes reveals that: at the level of the text, culinary culture is present through menus with European and American tastes. The construction of discourse built on the process of consuming text reveals that, culinary culture reaps the "perception" of "best" taste in European and American cuisine.

Abstract

The development of Digital Government Services (DGS) is a form of bureaucratic transfor-mation. This research focuses on virtual digital technology used in the government, especially in the tourism office department of Yogyakarta special administrative region which is also known as Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) Province. Based on Ministry of Communication and Information (MoCI) 2012 report, e-Government adoption in DIY was ranked 4th in the country. The province has the vision of becoming a cyber province as one of the ways to fulfil the needs of its residents. The objectives of this study encompass: 1) description of the imple-mentation of e-government in DIY Tourism department; 2) mapping and utilizing the tourism communication strategies to identify e-government implementation in the Tourism department; and 3) assess the role that e-government technology adoption can help to strengthen service encouraging the enhancement of service and creative industries towards contributing to im-prove the higher tourism development in DIY. The research used a case study approach with data collected using informal interview and documentation. Results of the research showed that: 1) the expertise in information and communication technology (ICT) is pivotal for was necessary for the development of ing the tourism-based websites and e-government applica-tions; 2) the importance of developing multimedia-based content to ensure relevant and updat-ed content; and 3) the importance of taking into account the needs and interests of undergradu-ates and undergraduate audience in developing and adoption of e-government services because they constitute the largest segment that uses the virtual digital government services.

Abstract

Margosari village has the Serang River which is a source of income for the community. The catched fish is sold in the form of fresh wader fish at a price of Rp. 7,000.00 to Rp. 9,000.00 / Kg. Selling price and storage capacity of wader fish are very low, so it needs to be increased by diversifying the process into krispi wader as one of the business opportunities. The problems faced by partners are: 1) Limited knowledge and skills regarding the diversification process of wader fish; 2) Packaging method is still simple and does not meet standards; and 3) Marketing process is still carried out by direct selling and has not used online marketing method. This community service program aims to increase knowledge and skills regarding the diversification process of wader fish into krispi wader, packaging technology and online marketing. The methods used in conducting this program were in the form of counseling and training as well as assistance to 20 BUMDes members. Counseling and training activities include: 1) Counseling and training on the diversification of processed wader fish into krispi wader fish; 2) Counseling and packaging training was held to know how to pack and making packaging labels; 3) Marketing training based on online marketing. The benchmarks for the success of this service activity can be seen from the increasing of knowledge and skills regarding the diversification of wader krispi process, knowledge of labels and packaging as well as knowledge of online marketing for members of the Margosari BUMDes group based on pretest and posttest analysis of service activities. The conclusion of this service activity is that the counseling method followed by training methods are effective for members of the Margosari BUMDes group in diversifying their wader fish, labeling and packaging as well as online marketing.

Abstract

AbstrakKrisis dapat terjadi dimana saja, pada siapa saja dan kapan saja. Dalam hal ini yang akan menjadi sorotan utama adalah pengelolaan krisis pada instansi kesehatan dengan objek yang menjadi focus utama adalah rumah sakit jogja internasional. Karena pada dasarnya suatu organisasi tidak terlepas dari adanya factor eksternal dan internal. Kedua hal tersebut dapat mempengaruhi terjadinya krisis bila manajemen tidak dikelola dengan baik. Tujuan dari penulisan  ini adalah untuk mengetahui tahapan-tahapan yang dilakukan dalam pengelolan krisis di RS JIH Yogyakarta dengan metode data yang digunakan yaitu melalui dua tahap: 1. Menggunakkan pendekatan studi kasus melalui FGD dan yang ke 2 adalah dengan melakukan wawancara secara mendalam dengan pihak yang terkait dalam pengelolaan manajemen krisis di intansi setempat. Hasil dari penulisan ini adalah instansi dapat tetap menjaga reputasi perusahaan dengan pengelolaan yang baik melalui tahap-tahap perencaan dalam menanggulangi krisis.  AbstractCrisis can happen anywhere, to anyone and anytime. In this case, the main highlight is the management of crisis in health institutions with the object of the main focus is Jogja International Hospital. It is because basically an organization cannot be separated from the external and internal factors. Both of these can affect the occurrence of a crisis if not managed properly. The purpose of this paper is to know the stages performed in the management of the crisis at JIH Yogyakarta with the method of data used through two stages: the first is using a case study approach through FGD and the second is conducting in-depth interviews with relevant parties in the management of crisis management at the local institution. The result of this paper is that the institution can maintain the reputation of the company with good management through the stages of planning in tackling the crisis.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana etika dan tanggung jawab sosial politik anggota DPRD Kota Yogyakarta Fraksi PDIP dalam mengimplementasikan kebijakan publik. Dimensi politis kehidupan manusia mencakup lingkaran kelembagaan hukum dan negara, sistem-sistem nilai serta ideologi yang memberikan legitimasi. Etika dan tanggung jawab sosial politik hadir dengan tujuan menciptakan sebuah konsep kenegaraan yang melahirkan kesejahteraan sosial berbasis keadilan dan persamaan. Tetapi kontestasi perebutan kekuasaan dan kepentingan politis tertentu seringkali mengalahkan bentuk tanggungjawab sosial pada konstituen dan masyarakat. Dalam pendekatan social responsibility terdapat tiga elemen implementasi tanggungjawab sosial, yaitu enabling, empowering dan protecting. Etika politik menjadi kunci dalam upaya mendapatkan kepercayaan masyarakat pada sistem politik dan politisi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus yaitu intrinsic case study. Jenis studi ini ditempuh untuk memahami etika dan tanggungjawab sosial politik anggota DPRD secara lebih mendalam. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, pengamatan gejala terkait strategi tanggungjawab sosial politik dan wawancara mendalam untuk menggali motivasi, opini, nilai dan pengalaman narasumber. Subyek dari riset ini adalah anggota DPRD Kota Yogyakarta dari Fraksi PDI-P sebagai fraksi yang mendominasi perolehan suara pada Pemilu 2019 dan menduduki jabatan ketua DPRD Kota. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah implementasi etika politik ditunjukkan dengan adanya akuntabilitas dan transparansi program politik pada masyarakat. Perwujudan tanggungjawab sosial politik tampak pada penguatan soliditas konstituen, meneruskan aspirasi masyarakat dan melakukan advokasi ketika ada penerapan kebijakan yang tidak sesuai.Abstract This research aims to understand how the ethics and socio-political responsibility of members of the Yogyakarta Parliament PDIP Faction in implementing public policy. The political dimension of human life includes the institutional circle of law and state, the values and ideologies that give legitimacy. Ethics and socio-political responsibility comes with the aim of creating a concept of statehood that gives birth to social welfare based on justice and equality. But contesting power struggles and certain political interests often trumps the form of social responsibility in constituents and communities. In the social responsibility approach there are three elements of social responsibility implementation, namely enabling, empowering and protecting. Political ethics are key in trying to gain public trust in the political system and politicians. This study uses qualitative descriptive method with case study approach that is intrinsic case study. This type of study was taken to understand the ethics and socio-political responsibilities of dprd members in more depth. Data collection is conducted through observations, observations of symptoms related to socio-political responsibility strategies and in-depth interviews to explore motivations, opinions, values and experiences of resource persons. The subject of this research is a member of the Yogyakarta City Parliament from the PDI-P Faction as the faction that dominated the vote in the 2019 elections and held the position of chairman of the City Parliament. The result of this study is that the implementation of political ethics is demonstrated by the accountability and transparency of political programs in the community.  The realization of socio-political responsibility is seen in strengthening the solidity of the constituents, continuing the aspirations of the community and advocating when there is an inappropriate implementation of policies.

Abstract

AbstrakInteraksi dan interkonektivitas menjadi hal yang niscaya pada era masyarakat informasi hari ini. Hasrat manusia untuk saling berkelompok dan berjejaring satu sama lain, dalam era teknologi dan informasi hari ini mewujud dalam relasi yang diperantarai oleh media, salah satunya media sosial. Dari beragam media sosial yang paling berkembang saat ini adalah Whatsapp, dimana memungkinkan untuk membentuk kelompok- kelompok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengamati dan memahami bagaimana relasi dan pola interaksi grup alumni SD yang secara psikologis dipengaruhi oleh memori masa kecil, kemudian terjalin sebuah konstruksi emosional dalam relasi interpersonal persahabatan hingga dewasa. Peneliti berpartisipasi bersama subyek untuk mendapatkan kedalaman data melalui metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi virtual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, pola relasi terbentuk hingga dewasa karena beberapa telah ada kedekatan dan kedalaman interaksi sejak SD. Relasi sosial hadir dalam dimensi ruang dan waktu di media sosial, terdiri dari interelasi antara rekonstruksi, visibility dan praktik dari interaksi dan komunikasi antar anggota. Menurut Martin Buber, tingkatan interaksi mewujud dalam interaksi model komunikasi I-You dan I-Thou. Perjumpaan kembali setelah puluhan tahun, tidak menghilangan kenangan masa kecil sehingga bentuk – bentuk relasi tersebut hadir kembali melalui acara reuni, arisan rutin dan basket secara periodik.   AbstractInteraction and interconnectivity become necessary in today's information society era. Human desire to group each other and network each other, in the era of technology and information today manifests in the mediated relationship by the media, one of social media. Of the most evolving variety of social media today is whatsapp, which makes it possible to form groups. This study aims to observe and understand how relationships and interaction patterns of elementary school alumni who are psychologically influenced by the memory of childhood, then intertwined an emotional construction in the relationship of interpersonal friendship to adulthood. Researchers participated with subjects to gain depth of data through qualitative methods with a virtual ethnographic approach. The results showed, the pattern of relationships formed to adulthood because some have been there proximity and depth of interaction since elementary. Social relationships are present in the dimensions of space and time in social media, consisting of interrelation between reconstruction, visibility and practice of interaction and communication among members. According to Martin Buber, interaction levels manifest in the interaction of communication models I-You and I-Thou. Re-encounter after decades, does not diminish childhood memories so that the forms of the relationship are re-present through reunions, routine social gatherings and basketball periodically.

Abstract

The role of public relations of universities is required to be able to foster synergistic communication between educational institutions and the community. One of the dynamics experienced when students as stakeholders experience dissatisfaction over the policies delivered by the University so as to cause potential conflict even extending to the crisis. The case to be raised in this study is a demonstration conducted by students of Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta because of the single tuition fee that rose. The purpose of this research is to understand and map the crisis communication strategy carried out by UGM in order to strengthen relations with students. The method used is with a qualitative approach, by observing information systems and public aspirations on ugm website, and collecting data through semistructured interviews in the public relations and protocol sections. This research concept uses situational theory of the public that explains the perceptions, attitudes and behaviors of public communication. The result of this study is, student behavior tends to be actively involved in seeking information related to tuition increases. Second, students' perception of the situation is realizing that something is wrong in the policy, they have involvement in the issue of tuition increases and the form of their attitude to protests. Third, UGM as an institution opened access for students to express their aspirations and disappointments through demonstrations.Keywords : Demonstration; higher education public relations; Student; Crisis management; Single tuitionPeran Humas perguruan tinggi dituntut mampu menumbuhkan komunikasi yang sinergis antara lembaga pendidikan dan masyarakat. Salah satu dinamika yang dialami ketika mahasiswa sebagai stakeholder mengalami rasa tidak puas atas kebijakan yang disampaikan Univeritas sehingga menimbulkan potensi konflik bahkan meluas hingga krisis. Kasus yang hendak diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah demonstrasi yang dilakukan mahasiswa Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta karena Uang Kuliah Tunggal yang naik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk memahami dan memetakan strategi komunikasi krisis yang dilakukan oleh UGM dalam rangka untuk menguatkan kembali relasi dengan para mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan melakukan observasi pada sistem informasi dan aspirasi publik di website UGM, serta mengumpulkan data-data melalui wawancara semiterstruktur pada bagian Humas dan protokol. Secara konsep penelitian ini menggunakan teori situational of the public yang menjelaskan terkait persepsi, sikap dan perilaku komunikasi publik. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah, perilaku mahasiswa cenderung terlibat aktif mencari informasi terkait kenaikan uang kuliah. Kedua, persepsi mahasiswa terhadap situasi tersebut yaitu menyadari bahwa ada sesuatu yang salah dalam kebijakan, mereka memiliki keterlibatan dalam isu kenaikan uang kuliah dan bentuk sikap mereka melakukan aksi demontrasi. Ketiga, UGM sebagai institusi membuka akses pada mahasiswa untuk menyampaikan aspirasi dan kekecewaan mereka melalui aksi demo.Kata kunci : Demonstrasi; Humas pendidikan tinggi; Mahasiswa; Manajemen krisis; Uang kuliah tunggal
