Abstract

Creative thinking is high-order thinking that is not easy to stimulate with conventional learning, especially to solve complex physics problems. However, the learning strategy chosen must be in accordance with the teaching materials and students characteristics. Creative thinking is very important especially for low-ability characteristic in solving complicated physics problems; therefore, it needs to be triggered by student-centered learning strategies such as project briefs. This research was to analyze the effect of project brief learning on creative thinking skills (CrTS) of low-ability pre-service physics theacers. Sample was selected using purposive sampling (97 people) in the initial semester pre-service physics teachers which consisted of three classes A (32 people), B (35 people), and C (30 people). Data collection through essay tests on vibration and wave material and adjusted according to the CrTS-Kim indicators. The results show that the project brief has a positive effect on creative thinking skills. The highest effect on the fluency indicator has an average of 15.7 compared to the lecture strategy, as well as the mixture with an average of 9.89, and the lowest on the originality indicator.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menghasilkan briket sebagai bahan bakar alternatif oven tembakau. Briket yang dihasilkan ada dua yaitu briket berbahan Dasar Eceng Gondok dan Briket berbahan dasar abu sekam padi. Kedua briket dibuat dengan variasi komposisi bahan perekat tepung tapioka 10% dan bahan dasar 90% untuk mendapatkan hasil briket terbaik untuk diterapakan sebagai alternatif bahan bakar pada proses pengovenan tembakau masyarakat.Selain variasi bahan dasar dilakukan juga variasi pada geometri pelet yang meliputi kotak pejal, kotak berongga, tabung pejal, dan tabung berongga. Masing-masing geometri dicetak dengan variasi tekanan 10 PSI, 20 PSI, dan 30 PSI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa briket dengan bahan dasar abu sekam padi menghasilkan kalor yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan briket berbahan dasar eceng gondok. Geometri pelet briket berongga menghasilkan kalor yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan briket pejal. Geometri kotak berongga mengasilkan kalor terbaik dibandingan dengan geometri tabung pejal. Tekanan optimum dalam pembuatan pelet briket dihasilkan pada tekanan 20 PSI. Kata kunci: briket; eceng gondok; abu sekam padi; oven tembakau. ABSTRACTThe purpose of this research is to produce briquettes as an alternative fuel for tobacco ovens. There are two briquettes produced, namely briquettes made from water hyacinth and briquettes made from rice husk ash. The two briquettes were made with a variation of the composition of 10% tapioca starch adhesive and 90% base material to get the best briquette results to be applied as an alternative material in the community tobacco oven process. In addition to variations in the basic material, variations in pellet geometry were also carried out, which included solid boxes, hollow boxes, solid tubes, and hollow tubes. Each geometry is printed with a pressure variation of 10 PSI, 20 PSI, and 30 PSI. The results showed that briquettes made from rice husk ash produced higher heat than water hyacinth briquettes. Hollow briquette pellet geometry produces higher heat compared to solid briquettes. Hollow box geometry produces the best heat compared to solid tube geometry. The optimum pressure in the manufacture of briquette pellets is produced at a pressure of 20 PSI. Keywords: briquettes; water hyacinth; rice husk ash; tobacco oven.

Abstract

Pembelajaran secara daring  merupakan  bentuk  pembelajaran  di  masa  penyebaran  Covid-19  yang  dilaksanakan  oleh  seluruh  jenjang  sekolah  di  Indonesia. Untuk mendukung hal tersebut  guru-guru harus mampu menyiapkan perangkat pembelajaran dan evaluasi secara online. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan  untuk  mendukung  hal  tersebut dengan tujuan untuk melatih guru-guru MA Al-Intishor Tanjung Karang membuat soal online di google form.  Permasalahan yang dialami mitra yaitu kurang memahami fungsi dan cara membuat soal evaluasi pada google form, sehingga perlu mendapatkan bimbingan dan pelatihan. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan transfer of knowledge melalui  workshop  dan sosialiasi.  Hasil dari kegitan ini yaitu  1)  guru  MA Al-Intishor Tanjung karang dapat memahami  bermacam  fungsi  dari  fitur  pada  google  form.  2) guru MA Al-Intishor Tanjung karang dapat  memahami pentingnya penggunaan Google Form dengan indikator  bahwa  guru dapat membuat  soal   online sendiri. Online Question Making Training on Google Form For Teachers of MA Al-Intishor Tanjung Karang Abstract Online learning is a form of learning during the spread of Covid-19 carried out by all levels of schools in Indonesia. To support this, teachers must be able to prepare online learning and evaluation tools. This service is carried out to support this with the aim of training MA Al-Intishor Tanjung Karang teachers to make online questions on the google form. The problem experienced by partners is that they do not understand the function and how to make evaluation questions on the google form, so they need to get guidance and training. The implementation method uses the transfer of knowledge through workshops and socialization. The results of this activity are 1) MA Al-Intishor Tanjung Karang teachers can understand the various functions of the features on the google form. 2) MA teachers at Al-Intishor Tanjung Karang can understand the importance of using Google Forms with indicators that teachers can create their own online questions.

Abstract

This paper introduces a new process of gold recovery using nanofiber PVA/Chitosan from a gold-cyanide solution. Gold recovery in cyanide solution is made using nanofiber PVA/Chitosan produced with electrospinning technique. This research was conducted through several stages, 1) The designing of electrospinning tool, 2) Synthesis of nanofiber PVA/Chitosan with electrospinning technique, and 3) Gold recovery experiment using nanofiber PVA/Chitosan biosorption with the variations of initial concentration and time. The results showed that nanofiber PVA/Chitosan could be used as a gold ion absorber. The occuration of the isotherm process follows the Freundlich isotherm model, which is advantageous and occurs on a heterogeneous surface. From the results, it was agreed that nanofiber PVA/Chitosan is potential for gold recovery.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the effects of variety and composition of the adhesive used to the physical properties and the rate of combustion hyacinth biobriquettes. The physical properties referred to are water content, density and heating value. This research is an experimental study with a literacy study conducted in 3 stages, preparing tools and materials, making biobriquettes, and testing biobriquettes. The main ingredients used in the manufacture of biobriquettes are water hyacinth which is obtained at the Batujai Dam, Central Lombok Regency and the adhesive materials used are wheat flour, tapioca flour and cement. The method used to test the water content and density of the biobriquette was oven, while the calorific value and the rate of combustion were by heating water from the biobriquette combustion. The results showed that the biobriquette water content ranged from 5.138% - 13.953%, density 0.412 g/cm3 - 0.513 g/cm3, calorific value 2984.520 cal - 4476.780 cal, and combustion rate 0.029543 g/s - 0.042431 g/s. Based on the test results, it is known that the addition of adhesive material causes the water content, density, and combustion rate of the biobriquette to increase but the calorific value tends to decrease.

Abstract

This study is a research on water hyacinth-based briquettes which shows the calorific value of each form of briquettes. The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality of water hyacinth briquettes with variations in pressure and pellet geometry. The quality analyzed includes moisture content and calorific value. The method of making briquettes starts from charcoal, pounding, then mixing with tapioca starch adhesive. The composition of the mixture used is 90% water hyacinth charcoal with 10% tapioca starch adhesive. 4 geometric variations are used, namely, solid box, hollow box, solid tube and hollow tube with 3 pressure variations, namely, 10 PSI, 20 PSI and 30 PSI. Test results and analysis,briquettes at a pressure of 20 PSI produces a calorific value range of 91.15 - 150.14 cal / gram. The resulting calorific value is higher than the briquettes at a pressure of 10 PSI and 30 PSI with a heating value range of 93.84 - 148.79 cal / gram and 89.81 - 135.39 cal / gram. Hollow briquettes produce a calorific value range of 107.24 - 150.14 cal / gram higher than solid geometric briquettes which produce a heating value range of 89.81 - 148.79 cal / gram. So that the contribution of the results of this research is that the community makes briquettes with shape and pressure with good results shown in this study.

Abstract

Masjid Al Irsyad adalah sebuah masjid yang berlokasi di Dusun Patukan, Desa Ambarketawang, Kapanewon Gamping, Kabupaten Sleman, Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Banyak potensi yang dapat dikembangkan khususnya potensi pemudanya. Pemuda adalah aset masa depan Masjid. Namun ditengah pandemi covid-19, banyak pemuda yang kehilangan lapangan pekerjaan. Tim Pengabdian dari UNDIKMA bermitra dengan FORMASI (Forum Remaja Masjid Al Irsyad) dan Pengurus Ta’mir Masjid Al Irsyad sepakat untuk mengadakan kegiatan pengembangan usaha jual beli barang bekas melalui pemberdayaan pemuda Masjid Al Irsyad. Adapun kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkembangkan usaha jual beli barang bekas bagi pemuda Masjid Al Irsyad. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu diawali dengan Penyuluhan, penentuan jadwal dan lokasi, penentuan peserta, pelaksanaan kegiatan dan evaluasi. Hasil pengabdian ini adalah terbentuknya kelompok usaha jual beli barang bekas yang beranggotakan pemuda masjid. Dalam penyuluhan ini juga memuat strategi yang dapat dilakukan oleh para pemuda masjid dalam memasarkan barang dan pemilahan barang bekas. Kegiatan ini berhasil terlaksana dengan sebanyak 20 peserta. Sebesar 75 persen (%) berhasil membentuk dua kelompok usaha jual beli barang bekas yang beranggotakan masing-masing 10 orang pemuda masjid. Dari hasil ini, maka direkomendasikan untuk menindaklanjuti kelompok yang terbentuk menjadi bentuk UMKM.  Business Development of Selling and Buying Used Goods Through Youth Empowerment of Al Irsyad Mosque  Al Irsyad Mosque is a mosque located in Patukan, Ambarketawang, Gamping, Sleman, Yogyakarta Special Region. There is a lot of potential that can be developed, especially the potential of the youth. Youth is the future asset of the mosque. However, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, many young people have lost their jobs. The Service Team from UNDIKMA in partnership with FORMASI (Forum Remaja Masjid Al Irsyad) and the Ta'mir Management of the Al Irsyad Mosque agreed to conduct business development activities for buying and selling used goods through empowering the youth of the Al Irsyad Mosque. This service activity aims to develop the business of buying and selling used goods for the youth of the Al Irsyad Mosque. The method used in this service is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA). The activity is carried out through several stages, namely starting with counseling, determining the schedule and location, determining participants, implementing activities and evaluating. The result of this service is the formation of a business group for buying and selling used goods consisting of mosque youths. This counseling also contains strategies that can be carried out by mosque youths in marketing goods and sorting used goods. This activity was successfully carried out with as many as 20 participants. As many as 75 percent (%) succeeded in forming two business groups for buying and selling used goods, each consisting of 10 mosque youths. From these results, it is recommended to follow up on groups that are formed into the form of UMKM.
