Abstract

The attitude of students during the learning process is essential to be known by an educator to understand how to deal with students in the class. This study aims to determine how students 'attitudes towards science subjects and this study also aim to determine whether there is a comparison of students' attitudes towards natural science subjects in junior high schools in Indonesia. This research was conducted at some state junior high schools in Jambi. Specifically, the research sites were Junior High School 5, Junior High School 6, and Junior High School 26 in Jambi. The research design used in this study was a quantitative approach with survey methods. The research instrument was a science attitude questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results showed that students' attitudes toward science subjects based on indicators of adoption of scientific attitudes, fun in learning science, and interest in increasing the time to study science were in good categories and also there are significant differences of students’ attitude towards science subjects in the three schools with a comparison value of 0.042 < 0.05.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang analisis lingkungan belajar siswa dengan indikator yang dianalisis adalah metode mengajar, kurikulum, hubungan guru dan siswa, dan disiplin sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif analisis frekuensi dan digabungkan dengan metode kualitatif supaya lebih mendalam. Peneliti mengumpulkan data dengan metode survei menggunakan angket dan observasi. Subjek penelitian adalah 125 siswa dari SMA Ferdy Ferry Putra Jambi dari berbagai kelas, mulai dari X IPA, XI IPA, XII IPA 1 sampai IPA 4 yang dilakukan pada bulan Agustus 2019. Kurikulum yang diterapkan di sekolah sudah baik dengan persentase 58,4%. Disiplin sekolah yang ditetapkan di sekolah sudah baik dengan persentase 57%. Relasi guru dengan siswa di sekolah kurang baik, karena bisa dilihat dari frekuensi gabungan jawaban relasi kurang baik sebesar 53,6%. Metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan di sekolah cukup baik, karena bisa dilihat dari frekuensi gabungan yang menjawab sudah baik sebesar 52%

Abstract

Good science process skills demonstrated by the attitude of students in conducting experiments in the laboratory. This study aims to determine the mastery of science process skills of students of Physics Education in Universitas Jambi, both students who use the printed Guidebook and students who use the e-module as guide in practicum activities by reviewing eight aspects of integrated science process skills. This study uses a quantitative approach with experimental research methods, namely true experimental. In the study sample used was a student of Physics Education were divided into two groups, 35 students for experiment class and 30 students for control class. Assessment instruments used were observation sheet science process skills with a score of skills used in the form of Likert scale. Based on the analysis score mastery of integrated science process skills of students in the experimental class, operationally defining variables have the highest percentage of 51.4% to the category of very good, whereas in the control class, analyzing aspects of investigations has the highest percentage of 53.3% with a good category.Keywords: college, integrated science process skills, practicum, reflection on a flat mirror

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sikap siswa terhadap mata pelajaran fisika dari hasil deskripsi sikap siswa dengan menggunakan indikator implikasi sosial, adopsi dari sikap ilmiah dan ketertarikan berkarir di bidang fisika di SMAN 6 Batanghari. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif menggunakan prosedur penelitian survei dengan instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 156 siswa di SMAN 6 Batanghari. Hasil analisis yang diperoleh dari indikator Implikasi sosial dengan kategori baik berpersentase 44.9%. Indikator adosi dari sikap ilmiah berkategori baik dengan persentase 64.1%. Indikator ketertarikan berkarir di bidang fisika berkategori cukup dengan persentase 66%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, siswa di SMAN 6 Batanghari memiliki sikap yang baik terhadap pembelajaran fisika.

Abstract

This study aims to look at students' interest in spending time learning physics, how is the normality of scientists in students' perspectives, and the adoption of students' scientific attitudes in class. The methodology used is quantitative research with a descriptive survey research design. The results showed students were still hesitant to spend time learning physics, students were still hesitant to behave like scientists, and students were able to apply scientific attitudes in class.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sikap siswa terhadap mata pelajaran fisika melalui indikator adopsi sikap ilmiah, ketertarikan dalam memperbanyak waktu belajar fisika dan ketertarikan berkarir dibidang fisika di SMA Ferdy Ferry Putra Kota Jambi. Jenis penelitian yaitu penelitian survei dengan  instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 125 siswa. Hasil analisis yang diperoleh dari indikator adopsi sikap ilmiah dengan kategori baik berpersentase 55.2%. Indikator ketertarikan dalam memperbanyak waktu belajar fisika dan ketertarikan berkarir dibidang fisika berkategori cukup berpersentase 72% dan 68%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, siswa di SMA Ferdy Ferry Putra Kota Jambi memiliki sikap yang cukup terhadap fisika.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the description of student attitudes and learning environments towards physics and the relationship of student attitudes and learning environments towards physics at SMAN 6 Batang Hari. This type of research is quantitative using a correlational design with the instrument used is a questionnaire. The subjects of this study were 156 students from SMAN 6 Batang Hari. Quantitative data analysis techniques use descriptive and inferential statistics. The description for attitude is categorized as sufficient. While for the learning environment that is categorized good. The relationship between students' attitudes and learning environment towards physics is in the strong category with a pearson correlation of 0.719. Based on the results of SMAN 6 Batang Hari, the relationship between students' attitudes and the learning environment is strong for learning physics. Thus, positive student attitudes will be formed through a conducive learning environment.
