Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the student’s perception of e-learning in studying History in terms of material, teachers, learning environment, the students themselves, and the teacher's perception of e-learning in teaching History. The researchers employed a mixed-method design. Instruments of this research were questionnaire and interview guide. The questionnaire was used to collect quantitative data while interview guide for qualitative data. The questionnaire consists four aspects: material, teacher, learning environments, and students’ view. The subjects were 25 history teachers and 161 students of senior high school in Kendari City, Indonesia. The result found that students prefer to study face-to-face. They prefer that the material is taught directly by the teacher in class. Class conditions are comfortable and they can interact with teachers and friends. Students do not feel bored doing assignments from teachers during a pandemic. They like to summarize history assignments rather than memorizing the material. Most students complain about the conditions of studying from home. Network problems and not having facilities, such as laptops and smartphones are the main problems for online learning. History teachers assume that in implementing e-learning, they prefer asynchronous e-learning. History teachers mostly use e-learning applications, such as Google Classroom, WhatsApp, and YouTube. This study was expected to shed new light on the intriguing concept of students and teacher’s perception of e-learning on history learning.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop online learning guidebook for junior high school level. The method used in this research was research and development in terms of 4-D model development which consists of four main stages: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The informants were study consisted of 2 expert informants and 17 junior high school teachers in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia. This type of research data was descriptive qualitative. The data collected were in the form of suggestions and responses put forward by the informants. This information was collected and summarized to improve the learning products developed. The results showed that the developed online learning guidebook has met the appropriate criteria in the media and language aspects by the respective experts. Besides, Teachers find that this guidebook is very interesting and useful as a guide in online learning, especially during the current pandemic. Furthermore, the developed guide book fosters curiosity of teachers to find out the use of applications in the book, and makes teachers think creatively in making learning media. The online learning guidebook is advantaged for the teachers to provide interesting learning media and material for students especially in this pandemic era.

Abstract

Permasalahan prioritas mitra adalah bagaimana mendesain sebuah media pembelajaran daring yang mampu: digunakan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa dengan mudah; meningkatkan kreativitas dosen dan mahasiswa; dan meningkatkan kesadaran dosen akan pentingnya penggunaan teknologi. Tujuan program ini adalah untuk mengadakan pelatihan pembuatan video pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi kinemaster dan screencast o matic selama pandemic Covid-19. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan yaitu pemberian pelatihan dan pendampingan, penyadaran/ peningkatan kemampuan dosen. Keberlanjutan program setelah program ini selesai sepenuhnya dikembalikan kepada dosen yang mengikuti pelatihan untuk melanjutkan implementasi aplikasi pembelajaran ini. Terlihat bahwa ada hasil positif dalam hal peningkatan daya saing dan tata nilai dalam bidang pendidikan pada binaan mitra. Peningkatan kemampuan para dosen muda dalam menggunakan teknologi dan informasi dalam kesehariannya untuk mengajar Hal ini bisa dibuktikan dengan setelah pemaparan materi, peserta diberikan kesempatan untuk praktik membuat video pembelajaran secara berkelompok dan individu dengan menggunakan aplikasi kinemaster dan screencast o matic. Terlihat peserta sangat antusias mengikuti pelatihan ini. Hal ini disebabkan karena kedua aplikasi ini baru mereka gunakan untuk pembuatan video pembelajaran. 70,6% mereka beranggapan puas terhadap kegiatan ini. Peserta mengharapkan ada kegiatan pelatihan kembali.

Abstract

This research aimed at knowing the students' perception of Microsoft Office 365 on learning history. This research used a quantitative descriptive design. It was conducted at SMAN 4 Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi. The sample of this study was students in XI-1 grade. The students were 46. Research instruments used questionnaires and interviews. The result showed that the students had a positive response toward the use of Microsoft Office 365. Besides, 87% of students agree that they can understand History Subject during online learning. The most frequently used features were Teams (95.7%), SharePoint (2.2%), and Forms (2.2%). THowever, the obstacle of using this application is if students do not have facilities such as a good internet network, and laptops.
