Abstract

Transmission media needed to perform the test measurement data and to determine the performance of an existing wireless network in two different rooms. One of the transmission medium that can be used is the access point that has been connected to the server computer. The access point is required to emit a wifi signal so that the client computer can access to the server computer. Testing wireless network performance could be the solution to determine the performance of wireless networks.Implementation of wireless network performance testing used a server computer, the client computer and an access point. Testing is done by analyzing the parameters of Quality of Service (QOS) including delay, packet loss, jitter, throughput, signal strength, upload and download speeds. The tests are carried out in two different rooms and each room is done testing on two different access point placement. The method used was study of literature, network design and implementation of wireless network testing.On test results performance of a wireless network in a room divider wall first obtained on the current average, the signal strength is weak, and the barrier wall 2 obtained test results on good average, with the signal strength is good, the barrier triplex 1 obtained test results nice average and signal strength, as well as on limiting triplex 2 obtained very good results and also good signal strength. Overall wireless networks in two different rooms is able to perform well, but the barrier at about access point makes wireless network signal is disrupted and it can affect the performance of wireless networks.

Abstract

Servers are computers for computer center managers and the other. Many more client could make server have a hard woking. this situation will make the web serverperformance has decrease and making the access to the server will be difficulty because the server was busy or time-out. another problem is a down server or server failure. that is the problem that we must be avaoided. To overcome these problems, merging severalserversinto a single unitthat can worksimultaneouslyforload balancingserveris the solution. One method that is meaningful is using load balancing or even distribution of a burden ( request ) on the web server aims to relieve a burden is borne each server. In the process load balancing any one kind of load balancer is HAProxy, HAProxy is a software load balancer to the application of tcp and http who support a need a counterweight burden.Haproxy have the ability to control traffic of each request data from clients and showing statistics from on use each web server that it can controlling. Design and implementation of haproxy as balancer reverse a proxy be able to address the problems caused by burden excessive traffic because haproxy divide the expense request that goes into server haproxy so that the use of haproxy as load balancer can overcome the problems because the distribution of the burden known to second server backend.

Abstract

Utilizing Augmented Reality (AR) technology which is currently developing in presenting the material to be taught to students is one method that can be used in innovating learning materials. SMK Negeri 1 Magelang as one of the schools that wants to present more interesting learning materials certainly requires technology references to develop effective, creative and innovative learning media. Utilizing AR technology by providing knowledge on how to package learning using AR technology is certainly very beneficial for teachers and students of SMK Negeri 1 Magelang. Conducting community service by providing AR technology introduction materials, especially for the world of education, will certainly be very useful. The method used in the implementation is by online seminars. The results obtained from this activity are a positive impact for students and teachers, because they have additional knowledge related to AR technology that can be used in the teaching and learning process. Students and teachers can also find out tools and device specifications in developing AR.

Abstract

The existence of a blood exchange transaction process through a system carried out by the community, causing storing and managing data on a large scale is now causing problems in terms of scalability for blood bank managers in Yogyakarta. The process of blood transactions carried out by PMI units and hospitals at any time, makes the structure of relations in the blood banking system more complicated. In fact, every PMI unit and hospital in Yogyakarta requires a real-time data collection and storage process, considering that access to mobility of blood transactions is carried out almost 24 hours a day. Implementing an information system using a non-relational database model, is an alternative in the process of simplifying the relational structure in data relationships, this is because the non-relational database uses a NoSQL database model that provides support for database speed so that it remains optimal. In the research conducted, an information system was created that applied a non-relational database model to a case study of a blood bank information system. Where the NoSQL database is suitable for blood bank systems because it has high performance and is non-relational with real-time data storage and retrieval processes. The research conducted resulted in a blood bank information system that was developed using the Firebase database, where this system can display some data from the database such as viewing blood stocks, hospitals, blood donor events, and other information that is carried out in real time.

Abstract

Tracer study results is used to make meaningful decisions regarding study design and practical solutions based on tracer study results. The results of the tracer study conducted at IST AKPRIND provide many benefits because apart from being monitoring, the tracer study also serves as feedback for study programs and institutions to evaluate and support an independent learning curriculum so that graduates can meet the needs of society and the demands of the world of work. Currently, the implementation of tracer studies at IST AKPRIND is carried out by each study program. Data collection and coordination of tracer studies are carried out by the Student Administration Section. Although not optimal, IST AKPRIND continues to make improvements and innovations to obtain the desired data. With the assistance of the tracer study facilitation program which was organized by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, it’s hoped that response rate will increase. The research method used is a quantitative method through the distribution of questionnaires were distributed to graduates throughout 2019 and 2020. The results of the study explain that the competencies possessed by graduates are in accordance with the needs of the world of work and the relevance or linkage between the fields between the fields of science and alumni work is at a close level.

Abstract

Database design plays a very important role in the success and strength of an application. Factor normalization of design, non-duplication and optimization of memory usage become the main factor in assessment of a database. Research on location-based applications applied to mobile device system has been done by using object-based database and relational database, but the use of real time database has not been done. This study aims to build a real time database based (real time database) that will be applied to location-based applications. The method that will be used in this research is to design a database using Unified Modified Language (UML) by creating a Use Case, Class Diagram to explain the structure and activities of users and using Firebase to build a real time database and create an activity scenario for all actors involved. This research also builds a prototype of location-based applications for delivery and pick-up of goods within the scope of the Yogyakarta location. Location data is taken from Google Maps and uses several libraries from the Application Programming Interface (API). Testing of the database design is carried out with prototypes in the form of applications for delivery and pick-up of goods, where the inter location and pick-up is valid in real time on the officers. Database updates can be done in real time.

Abstract

The selection process of research proposals is one of the important aspects carried out by each research institution in the University. The proposal selection phase is carried out so that each proposal submitted by each lecturer has the priority results of research proposals that meet the standard research standards that have been set, and the proposals submitted are eligible to obtain research funding. In this study used a combination of TOPSIS method (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) and the SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) method in selecting research proposals submitted by lecturers. For the parameters used are the results of a review of the research proposal with the aim of looking at the suitability of the manual calculation with the method of the system being built. The results obtained by using 5 assessment criteria, it was found that the TOPSIS and SAW methods have a percentage of conformity between manual calculations with TOPSIS and SAW systems by 100%, this value was obtained from the test performed using 20 test samples by comparing manual calculations and system calculations who apply a combination of TOPSIS and SAW methods. The final stage of this study produces a prototype decision support system that can do the ranking in selecting the feasibility of the research proposal submitted by the lecturer by recommending proposals that are eligible to receive research funds based on the criteria and assessment weights set by each university.

Abstract

Kegiatan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi yang dilakukan oleh dosen seperti pendidikan, penelitian dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam pelaporannya perlu ditampilkan secara menarik agar dapat diakses oleh masyarakat. Untuk dapat menampilkan hasil kegiatan tersebut, maka luaran perlu disajikan dalam berbagai bentuk tampilan multimedia, sehingga perlu didesain secara khusus agar dapat memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat. Saat ini proses mulai dari perencanaan, desain dan mempresentasikan konsep data menjadi suatu tampilan visual baik itu poster, infografis, presentasi, postingan sosial media, video, dan bentuk konten lainnya dapat dilakukan tersendiri oleh siapa saja dengan menggunakan bantuan aplikasi desain Canva. Berbagai fitur yang dimiliki Canva dapat memberikan kemudahan bagi dosen dalam pembuatan berbagai konten untuk keperluan penyampaian informasi hasil kegiatan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. Menyadari pentingnya pengetahuan tentang pembuatan desain maka bersama dengan UPT TIK Unnes (Universitas Negeri Semarang) mengadakan serangkaian kegiatan pembekalan pelatihan desain dengan tujuan untuk memberikan kemampuan desain bagi pengajar atau dosen terkait bagaimana memvisualisasikan konsep data hasil Tri Dharma dengan menggunakan Canva. Kegiatan penyampaian materi telah dilaksanakan secara daring menggunakan platform zoom pada tanggal 11 Oktober 2021 pukul 09.00-12.00 WIB. Rangkaian kegiatan online lainnya yaitu setiap peserta mengikuti materi online pada MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) Unnes dan pengerjaan asesmen. Hasil akhir kegiatan peserta akan mendapatkan sertifikat penguasaan desain canva yang setara dengan 32 jam sesuai dengan materi yang diberikan.

Abstract

Banyaknya pengguna komputer yang bermasalah dengan penanganan kerusakan komputer, dirasakan perlu dibuat suatu software atau sistem yang dapat membantu memecahkan permasalahan komputer. Software yang dimaksud adalah suatu software sistem pakar yang berfungsi sebagai pengganti organisasi atau seorang yang ahli dalam bidang penanganan kerusakan komputer. Kerusakan komputer terdiri dari dua bagian penting yaitu Perangkat Keras (Hardware) dan Perangkat Lunak (Software), bagian pertama adalah hardware komputer berupa alat yang dapat dilihat dan dipegang seperti: monitor, keyboard, mouse, CPU (Central Processing Unit) dan semua perangkat didalamnya. Pada penelitian ini adalah salah satu metode dari Bacward Chaining, yaitu menggunakan pendekatan goal driven, yang dimulai dari harapan apa yang akan terjadi atau hipotesis dan kemudian mencari bukti yang mendukung atau berlawanan dengan harapan. Backward Chaining ini memerlukan perumusan dan pengujian hipotesis sementara. Metode Backward Chaining ini digunakan jika suatu aplikasi menghasilkan tree yang sempit dan dalam. Metode penelitian yang dipakai adalah metode prototype. Perancangan sistem pakar ini menggunakan metode UML. Sistem ini dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemrograman berbasis web yaitu PHP dan MySQL sebagai database. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah adanya sistem pakar diagnosa kerusakan komputer yang dapat mempermudah pengguna awam menangani masalah komputer khususnya di bagian perangkat keras komputer (Hardware) dengan aplikasi berbasis web dan mempermudah pengguna awam dalam menangani masalah perihal hardware komputer.

Abstract

Teknologi Informasi (TI) telah digunakan di setiap aspek kehidupan dan di semua kalangan, termasuk anak-anak saat ini sudah sangat akrab dengan penggunaan TI. Namun, maraknya penggunaan TI di kalangan anak-anak harus disertai dengan pemberian bekal tentang bagaimana menggunakan IT dengan baik, dengan mengoptimalkan manfaat dan meminimalisir aspek bahaya penggunaan IT tersebut. Pengabdian masyarakat yang dilaksanakan di Dusun Karet Desa Pleret Kecamatan Bantul Yogyakarta bertujuan memberikan sosialisasi dan penyuluhan kepada anak-anak usia dini (Sekolah Dasar) dalam menggunakan dan memanfaatkan TI secara bijak. Dari hasil survei terhadap 30 anak-anak yang mengikuti sosialisasi di peroleh data bahwa 100% anak-anak mempunyai minimal satu buah alat komunikasi berbasis TI, 100% anak-anak pernah menggunakan peralatan TI, 83% mempunyai akun media social. Dalam penggunaan TI 45% menjawab digunakan untuk chatting, 25% untuk bermain game, 17% untuk bermain media social, hanya 9% yang menggunakan untuk menyelesaikan tugas sekolah dan 4% untuk mencari berita. Sedangkan mengenai bahaya penggunaan TI, hanya 10% yang menjawab mengerti. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan diperlukannya sosialisasi tentang penggunaan TI di kalangan anak-anak agar mereka dapat menggunakan peralatan TI dengan lebih baik dan bijak. Peran orang tua dalam pendampingan sangat diperlukan supaya anak-anak dapat menggunakan TI dengan baik.
