Abstract

Abstract Banyuasin Regency is a buffer zone of Palembang. Many of Banyuasin residents work in Palembang, and vice versa, causing a lot of travel between these two regions. The objective of this research was to study the characteristics of the transport, trip generation and attraction, as well as the traveling route in these two areas. Origin and destination interview surveys as well as the calculation of the traffic volume were conducted in this study, followed by the calculation of interaction and connectivity. These studies suggest that the purpose of travel is predominantly for work (30.1%) with a distance of more than 20 km. Generated trips consist of 178 private vehicles, public transport of 270 people, and 99 goods transport vehicles. While the attracted trips consist of 156 private vehicles, public transport of 298, and 116 goods transport vehicles. Only 12 districts have overland routes to Palembang while 7 others do not have a land route to Palembang. Sebagian penduduk Kabupaten Banyuasin bekerja di Palembang, dan sebaliknya, sehingga banyak perjalanan di antara kedua daerah ini. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengkaji karakteristik transportasi, bangkitan dan tarikan perjalanan, serta rute perjalanan penduduk di kedua daerah tersebut. Pada studi ini dilakukan survei wawancara asal dan tujuan pergerakan serta perhitungan volume lalulintas, yang dilanjutkan perhitungan interaksi dan konektivitas. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan bahwa perjalanan didominasi untuk maksud bekerja (30,1 %) dengan jarak tempuh lebih dari 20 km. Bangkitan perjalan terdiri atas angkutan pribadi 178 orang, angkutan umum 270 orang, dan angkutan barang 99 kendaraan. Sedangkan tarikan perjalanan terdiri atas angkutan pribadi 156 orang, angkutan umum 298 orang, dan angkutan barang 116 kendaraan. Hanya 12 kecamatan yang mempunyai rute perjalanan darat ke Palembang sedangkan 7 kecamatan yang lain belum mempunyai rute darat ke Palembang. Kata-kata kunci: daerah penyangga, asal dan tujuan pergerakan, interaksi, konektivitas, rute

Abstract

Palembang is a capital city of South Sumatera, which has density of 4,020 people per square kilometer in 2012. Economic growth has given influences on traffic and as a result congestions happen in many roads. The aim of this study is to get the characteristics of congestion period and to divide congestion period by providing alternative work schedules in Palembang City. The method and analysis used is descriptive and matrix analysis. The results obtained from this study show that the peak hours occur between 05.00 and 09.00 in the morning. By adopting Transport Demand Management, staggered shift, two scenarios of sharing congestion periods are obtained. The first scenario suggests that the work schedule for government officials and labors (209,448 people) is 07.30 to 16.00 while the schedule for traders and students (233,086 people) is 09.00 to 17.30. The second scenario suggests that the work schedule for government officials and students (241,812 people) is 07.30 to 16.00 while the schedule for traders and labors (124,361 people) is 09.00 to 17.30. Keywords: Transport Demand Management, work schedule, peak hour  Kota Palembang, ibukota Provinsi Sumatera Selatan, mempunyai kepadatan penduduk 4.020 orang/km2 pada tahun 2012. Banyaknya produksi hasil alam dari bumi Sriwijaya ini mengakibat geliat pertumbuhan ekonomi cukup tinggi yang mengakibatkan terjadi kemacetan lalulintas di banyak ruas jalan di Palembang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik waktu macet dan merancang pembagian waktu pada jam sibuk di Palembang. Analisis yang dilakukan menggunakan metode deskripsi dan matriks. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik jam sibuk di kota Palembang terjadi antara jam 05.00-09.00 pagi. Dengan mengadopsi model Transportation Demand Management, staggered shift, dihasilkan dua skenario pembagian waktu untuk mengurangi kemacetan lalulintas. Pada skenario pertama pegawai negeri sipil dan buruh, yang berjumlah 209.448 orang, bekerja antara jam 07.30 sampai jam 16.00 sedangkan pedagang dan murid/mahasiswa, yang berjumlah 233.086 orang, jam 09.00 sampai 17.30. Skenario kedua adalah mengatur PNS dan murid/mahasiswa,  yang berjumlah 241.812 orang, bekerja atau sekolah  jam 07.30  sampai 16.00 sedangkan pedagang dan buruh, yang berjumlah 124.361 orang, bekerja mulai jam 09.00 sampai 17.30. Kata-kata kunci: Transport Demand Management, jadwal kerja, jam puncak

Abstract

According to Law Number 23 of 2007, on Railways, the train station for loading and unloading of goods shall be equipped with safety, security, loading and unloading goods, and public facilities. The condition of the railway station in Lubuk Linggau, South Sumatra, is now very crowded, with spaces for vehicle parking shuttle and for loading and unloading of goods are no longer sufficient, thus affecting the performance of this station. The data indicate that the modes of transport used by passengers using the railway mode for Palembang-Lubuk Linggau or vice versa are motorcycles, paratransit, private car, which require facilities to intermodal transfer. The transport of goods shows that those with two trips, which indicate the existence of a distribution of goods in the town of Lubuk Linggau, are about 7.6%. This means that loading and unloading facilities at the station are needed. To improve its performance, in Lubuk Linggau station must be equippedwith the facilities in accordance with existing regulations.Keywords: railway station performance, passenger transport, cargo transport, intermodal transfer

Abstract

Queues vehicle in U-turn area occur because of vehicle that does U-turn will take 1 lane in as a result there’s no lanes of vehicle waiting before do U-turn. Moreover, the vehicles that do U-turn will take 2 lanes in from opposite directions as consequence vehicle maneuver against the turning radius in the median. Reduction lanes from 3 to 2 lead to a narrowing of the road due to queue of vehicle waiting before U-turn. From the above, it can be concluded that the delay time in U-turn area caused by queuing vehicle that do U-turn. From time delay issues in U-turn area, we need study / research the influence queues length of vehicles in U-turn area. The purpose of this study was to analyze the road capacity, queues length and travel times of vehicle before and after the change in U-turn area design using VISSIM 6.0.The methodology used in this research is the vehicle volume survey counting, vehicle travel time, U-turn vehicle travel time and the number of vehicle arrival in U-turn area at Jl. Kol. H. Burlian km. 9 Palembang. We analyze the road capacity, long queues of vehicles travel time in the existing condition and new road design plan condition in U-turn area with manual calculation and VISSIM 6.0 programme.From the research, it is found that the road capacity is reduced from 3 lanes (4226 smp/hour) to 2 lanes (2762 smp/hour) and maximum vehicles queue length is 45,89 m. From these result we made the design plan of new road in U-turn area at Jl. Kol. H. Burlian Km. 9 Palembang, with the addition of a special vehicle lane doing U-turn (3,13 m width ; 45 m length) and additional road median for 7 m (from existing condition 2 m to 9 m). Overall planning of road widening in U-turn area is 13,26 m (left width 6,63 m and right wide 6,63 m). In addition, we need to add a road divider marking for vehicle queuing discipline that will do U-turn.From the analysis of the road new design at Jl. Kol. H. Burlian Km. 9 Palembang, we can conclude that a reduction in maximum queue length from 45,89 m (existing condition) to 0,00 m (new road design), besides there is reduction in maximum vehicle travel time from 7,45 second (existing condition) to 2,475 second (new road design).

Abstract

With the rapid growth of population in line with rapid increasing of number of vehicles and vehicles ownership in Palembang, thus causes congestion in the streets, espescially in the center of town. Moreover, compounded by many vehicles parked on the street. One way to overcome these problems by diverting the private vehicles use to public transport modes, in addition, Park and Ride system must be applied in the terminals during will be heading to downtown Palembang The aim of this study is to determine the characteristics of the trip and measure the potential application of the park and ride system for people, this system is used to determine the magnitude of the supply needs of the vehicle that will carry out the transfer of the vehicle Park and Ride particularly in the Alang-alang lebar district area. The analysis conducted in this study is a descriptive analysis, analysis of origin-destination matrix and modal choices  matrix method is used with the base crosstabulation, and analysis of parking supply in the Alang-alang lebar terminal. In addition, before the analysis done, previously conducted Revealed Preference (RP) survey and traffic count to obtain more accurate data from this study. From the tesult of the research that has been conducted, the population with more frequent trip are males aged between 25-55 years with the status as a private employee and student, and the district with the most attracted trips are  Ilir Barat I and Sukarami, as well as the magnitude of potential Park and Ride vehicles in alang alang lebar area are 16.065 motorcycles and 2.768 cars.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan fasilitas untuk pejalan kaki seperti jembatan penyeberangan dan trotoar pada Kawasan Masjid Agung Kota Palembang masih belum optimal dikarenakan terjadi perubahan fungsi dimana pejalan kaki masih banyak menyeberang tanpa melalui jembatan penyeberangan dan trotoar dijadikan tempat parkir kendaraan. Dengan bertambahnya jumlah kendaraan tiap tahun memungkinkan terjadinya konflik antara pejalan kaki dengan arus kendaraan terutama pada jam-jam sibuk sehingga dapat membahayakan para pemakai jalan dan menyebabkan terjadinya kecelakaan. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode survei secara manual terhadap lalu lintas kendaraan, pejalan kaki, kecepatan kendaraan. Dimana untuk survei lalu lintas dan pejalan kaki pada kawasan Masjid Agung dibagi menjadi empat zona. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa kondisi existing lebar trotoar bervariasi di setiap zona. Terdapat penyeberangan berupa zebra cross dan jembatan penyeberangan. Hasil hubungan volume pejalan kaki dan volume kendaraan maka untuk dilokasi ruas Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, ruas Jalan Merdeka, ruas Jalan Faqih Jalaluddin dan ruas Jalan Cik Agus Kimas direkomendasikan lampu pengatur atau jembatan. Kata Kunci: Pejalan Kaki, Fasilitas Pejalan Kaki, Penyeberangan

Abstract

Palembang's Light Rail Transit (LRT) rail transportation is a component of the city's rapid transitinitiative which provides 13 stations on the LRT rapid transit line, a catalyst for transit-oriented, highdensity, comparative analysis with other major cities of developed countries that have been successfulimplement this form of mass transit. mixed-use development; economical investment, providing a returnon investment for property owners, businesses and municipalities; and a catalyst for social change,improving health, the environment and community connectivity. LRT revenue comes from fare-box whichcomes from ticket sales and non-fare-box or revenue outside of ticket fares, the four main businesssectors outside of transportation services are advertising, retail, telecommunications, as well as eventsand activation.
