Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) and Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM) on impulsive buying behavior among working Generation Z individuals. This study employs a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling through a Google Form questionnaire involving Generation Z workers. The research instruments utilized a Likert scale, including the Impulsive Buying Tendency (IBT) scale, the FOMO scale, and the E-WOM scale. The study employed multiple linear regression analysis, which revealed that FOMO and E-WOM, both individually and simultaneously, significantly influence impulsive buying behavior. The contribution of these two variables in explaining impulsive buying is 27.9%, while the remaining 72.1% is influenced by other variables not included in this study.

Abstract

Although teachers in inclusive schools face different work dynamics compared with teachers in regular schools, the effect of job demand on workplace wellbeing in the context of inclusive schools still requires more specific empirical investigation. This study aimed to determine the effect of job demand on workplace wellbeing among teachers at junior high schools implementing inclusive education in Padang City. This study employed a quantitative approach using the total sampling technique. The study population comprised teachers at four junior high schools implementing inclusive education with the highest number of students with special needs in Padang City, namely SMPN 7, SMPN 23, SMPN 24, and SMPN 25 Padang City, with a total sample of 192 teachers. Data were collected using the Job Demand Scale (Zulia & Susanti, 2025) and the Workplace Wellbeing Scale (Maulidina & Kadiyono, 2021), and were then analyzed using the nonparametric Spearman rho correlation test because the assumption of normality was not met. The results showed that job demand did not have a significant effect on workplace wellbeing among inclusive junior high school teachers in Padang City (sig. = 0.284 > 0.05). The categorization of each aspect also showed that both variables were at a moderate level. These findings confirm that a moderate level of job demand is not sufficient to affect teachers’ workplace wellbeing in inclusive schools. This study contributes to strengthening the study of teacher workplace wellbeing in the context of inclusive education and serves as a basis for further research to consider other factors that play a greater role in shaping teachers’ workplace wellbeing.

Abstract

Although transformational leadership style is often regarded as a factor that can encourage employees’ Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), this relationship does not always show a positive direction, particularly in the healthcare sector, which requires intensive cooperation and high service quality. This study aimed to determine the effect of transformational leadership style on OCB among employees at Hospital X, Padang City. This study employed a quantitative approach with a simple linear regression design. The study population comprised all employees of Hospital X, Padang City, with a sample of 144 employees selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using Likert scales based on aspects of transformational leadership and OCB, and were then analyzed statistically to examine the relationship between variables. The results showed that transformational leadership style had a negative and significant effect on OCB, with a regression coefficient of -0.149 and a significance value of 0.019 (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that an increase in transformational leadership style is not always followed by an increase in OCB, suggesting the possibility that other factors, such as organizational culture, workload, or job satisfaction, play a greater role in influencing OCB. Thus, this study emphasizes that the effectiveness of transformational leadership in encouraging extra-role behavior needs to be understood contextually within the hospital environment and contributes to the development of organizational behavior studies in the healthcare service sector.
