Abstract

The article aims to analyze the desacralization of the symbol of Catuspatha. Catuspatha is a form of Pakraman village identity in residential space patterns and as an orientation center of the Pakraman village pattern in Bali. At the same time, a socio-cultural phenomenon arises towards the center of the orientation of the Balinese society today, namely the replacement of the Visnu Murti statue with the Bungkarno statue in Catuspatha, Banjar Anyar Village. A ruling elite plays an essential religious symbol. In this case, the researcher analyzed the more fundamental way of shifting the shrine Catuspatha. The problem is that the Hindu community sees an imbalance between expectations and the reality of the existence of Catuspatha, the factors of desacralization of Catuspatha, and the impact of the desacralization of Catuspatha on the beliefs of the people. These problems are analyzed eclectically with religious theory, Social Change, and Deconstruction Theory. Data were obtained through observation, unstructured interviews, and literature studies to obtain objective analysis. The research found that the Catus Patha served as upstream Pakraman Kediri Village because they are still functioned to carry out Ngider ceremonies. The caused desacralization, more dominantly caused by socio-political factors, namely the idea of respect for the services of a warrior by forgetting local competitiveness. While the impact of the desacralization more on the theological impact, namely the weakening of public confidence and trust in the existence of Catuspatha so that the shifting of the Ngider ceremony orientation center is sought.

Abstract

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi is a humanist fighter from India. The struggles of his life both in India and in South Africa have prompted him to become a humanitarian fighter with the "Nonviolent Movement". Gandhi, even though his people were gone hundreds of years ago, but his thoughts still leave interesting things to be studied in the present masses and in the upcoming masses. Gandhi's thoughts about humanity are profound and utopian, so they still have the appeal to be studied by the persecutors and observers of nonviolence. Every move Gandhi struggle always stressed the importance of respecting humanity, because humans can develop themselves and foster unity throughout the world with love. The ability to love enables human beings to change, evolves toward improvement and perfection. Gandhi's humanitarian thoughts, then branched out by seeing British atrocities in India, especially the "Amritsar Massacre" and other atrocities in Punyab by British colonials, brought him into the realm of politics he did not really want. Gandhi's efforts against British rule did not mean the destruction of the English, but a movement against the practice of colonialism with the movements of ahimsa, satyagraha, swadesi, and hartal (civil-disobedience, noncooperation and fasting). It means that Gandhi's struggle against the British colonial remains on the respect and respect of humanity, the enemy must be defeated not by humiliation, but by uplifting.

Abstract

This study discusses the relationship of religious symbols and state symbols in the Taman Suci Temple, also known as Pura Veteran, in the Tua Village, Tabanan, one of the locations for Balinese fighters in defending Indonesian independence from Dutch attacks in 1946. Besides religious symbols, in the Veteran Temple there are also state symbols such as the Garuda Pancasila decoration, the Red and White flag, and advice on fighting sharp bamboo. Data from this qualitative study were obtained from field observations, library studies, and interviews. Data analysis is carried out with critical interpretive methods which include reduction steps, classification, interpretation, and making conclusions. The article concludes that Pura Vetaran has a socio-religious function as a means of social interaction, fosters Hindu social solidarity, and socio-political functions to arouse nationalism as concerned with the use of the Garuda Pancasila symbol and the Red and White of national flag.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe development of adolescents today is very worrying, especially teenagers is the next generation for Hindus in particular and also shoots for the nation of Indonesia. In order to avoid that association does not occur among adolescents, parents must be able to control and nurture their children. Parents can provide knowledge about the teachings of Hinduism and can always maintain communication with adolescents. Adolescents are not wrong association and also to not fall into the negative direction that can harm the child with parents especially in the era of globalization as nowadays all sophisticated. In addition to teachers in schools, and the environment of residence for teenagers. Parents who play the most important role here so that teenagers are not wrong association in this day and age. Parents must also be able to provide understanding and pengertiaan about the teachings of Hinduism, but the teachings of Hinduism is not only to be understood and understood but also must be biased and practiced directly with all my heart in order to find happiness inwardly.

Abstract

Environment is a place close to the existence of human life, but the environment also has significance for humans. With the physical environment man can use it to meet his material needs, with the human biological environment to meet his physical needs, and with his social environment man can meet his spiritual needs. This research has found that Tumpek Wariga as the local wisdom of the Balinese Hindu community is not an offering for plants, but a ceremony made, presented to the Lord. This means the ceremony is to express God's gratitude. The implementation of the ceremony Tumpek Wariga provides education to all Hindus of the importance of conservation, especially the preservation of plants.

Abstract

Abstrak: Upaya dalam pemberdayaan terhadap anak, akan sangat membutuhkan bantuan lingkungannya, sebab anak yang baru lahir berada dalam keadaan lemah, tidak berdaya, tidak bisa mengurus diri sendiri dan tidak bisa memenuhi kebutuhannya sendiri. Ia masih tergantung sepenuhnya dari lingkungan, serta membutuhkan uluran tangan dari orang lain, agar dapat melaksanakan hidupnya secara wajar. Oleh karena itu, untuk memecahkan masalah itu telah dikembangkan pembinaan kesejahteraan anak, yang merupakan segala upaya yang dilaksankan secara sadar, terencana, terarah, terpadu dan berkelanjutan dalam rangka mewujudkan kesejahteraan anak  terutama terpenuhinya kebutuhan pokok anak. Salah satu bentuk pembinaan kesejahteraan sosial anak adalah melalui Panti Asuhan Anak.Kata Kunci : Usaha Kesejahteraan Sosial, Pendidikan Agama Hindu Abstract:. Effort in enableness to child, will very requiring its environment aid, newborn child cause stay in the weak circumstance, over a barrel, cannot manage the ownself and cannot fulfill its owm requirement. He still be depended full the than environment, and also require an offer for peace from others, so that can execute is life to the manner born. Therefore to solve problem that have been developed by construction of child prosperity, representing all effort executed consciously, terencana, directional, inwrought and have continuation in order to realizing child prosperity especially fullfiling of  fundamental requirement of child. Abstract

Science and technology are constantly evolving, demanding all the potential of human ability to be self-actualizing. Implementation of curriculum in schools, especially in the structure of education aims to educate students for ethics and good morals. The phenomenon that occurs in the field shows every get a lesson of Hindu religious education students often feel bored and consider the education of Hinduism is not important, therefore need to be pursued a learning activity that is able to provide conditions to students to develop the ability to think optimally one way is to apply the activities learning in accordance with the Curriculum 2013.

Abstract

Hinduism Education can be started from an early age through the family path, in this case the child is given a training and learning every day by his parents. After increasing age should be given knowledge related to self-relationship with God. Humans with each other and human relations with nature so that there is a harmonious relationship between each other. Education is a very important basis in building human character but nowadays education loses its true meaning, the assessment is based on the many graduates of schools and scholars with high degrees who have immoral behavior, so in this case a Hindu religious education learning strategy is needed which is a learning plan in designing teaching materials based on the Vedic holy library.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the Aspirations of Early Childhood Education in Hindu Families in Batuaji Village, Kerambitan District, Tabanan. The lack of public access to early childhood education is a serious problem because early childhood is the beginning of a generation of gold. The progress of a nation is determined by the quality of early childhood education. The method used in this study is qualitative with descriptive research types. The research location was in Batuaji Village, Kerambitan District, Tabanan Regency. The source of primary data is obtained by interviewing informants, secondary data sources are obtained from literature studies and documentation. Based on the results of research on the Aspirations of Early Childhood Education in Hindu Families in Batuaji Village, Kerambitan District, Tabanan Regency, the community's aspirations towards early childhood education for Hindu families in Batuaji Village are very good. The process of developing people's aspirations for early childhood education in Hindu families in Batuaji Village is by a) Disseminating PAUD benefits which include: Parents as Counselors, Parents as Educators and Parents as Successors of Descendants, b) Formation of Character of Children in Hindu Families includes: Teaching Ethics and Procedure of a child from an early age, Implementation of Birth Baby Ceremony, Implementation of Monthly Nelu Ceremony and Implementation of Ngotonin Ceremony, c) Enabling POSYANDU in Hindu family.

Abstract

The ferformance of Barong Ida Ratu Gede Dalem originated from the belief of Tangeb resident toward the manifestation of Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa which is implemented in the form of Barong Ida Ratu Gede Dalem which has magical power. This power can help the villagers in many things. In this believe, nuwur ritual presentation of Barong Ida Ratu Gede Dalem started. When the people of Desa Adat Tangeb face problems which they can’t solve them selves, they will prray to God in his manifestation as Barong Ida Ratu Gede Dalem to get the soluions. When the problem are solved, people thank God through his manifestation as Barong Ida Ratu Gede Dalem by condungting a ritual performance which is called ”nuwur”.
