Abstract

usaha lele asap Sinagri dan usaha lele asap Harsa Agri. Pembinaan dan pendampingan aspek produksi dilakukan dengan memperbaiki tata letak fasilitas/peralatan produksi di ruangan produksi yang disertai dengan pengadaan peralatan produksi berupa alat pengering yang dapat berfungsi juga sebagai pengasap, bak pencucian lele, freezer (lemari pendingin), baskom, sendok penjepit dan sealer. Perbaikan tata letak peralatan belum optimal karena keterbatasan ruangan produksi. Kegiatan pembinaan dan pendampingan aspek produksi yang disertai dengan pengadaan peralatan ini telah mampu meningkatkan kualitas produk dan meningkatkan produktivitas usaha menjadi 150-180%. Pembinaan dan pendampingan aspek pemasaran melalui perbaikan kemasan yang disertai dengan pembuatan label telah dapat meningkatkan kualitas produk dan memperluas lokasi pemasaran ke beberapa toko, bahkan sudah mencoba untuk memasarkan ke luar provinsi Sumatera Barat. Pembinaan dan pendampingan terkait manajemen usaha telah memberikan pengetahuan tentang perencanaan usaha, mengorganisasikan tenaga kerja, melakukan pencatatan keuangan serta diversifikasi produk. Evaluasi dari kegiatan memperlihatkan bahwa produktivitas usaha mitra meningkat dengan kualitas yang lebih baik dan lokasi pemasaran yang lebih luas. Namun belum seluruh aktivitas transaksi usaha yang dicatat oleh industri.

Abstract

Press Tool is designed to be able to make mass and uniform products in a relatively short time. One of the products that can be produced using a press tool is the supporting component of the pantograph jack. Pantograph jacks are used in the automotive industry. The need for this product increases along with the increasing demand for motorized vehicles, especially cars. The production stages of supporting components using a press tool include: trim stop, piercing, notching, bending, cropping and deep drawing. Press tool design methods include: determining the design and supporting dimensions, calculation, simulation, and analysis using solidworks simulation analysis. The thickness of the plate that is safe to use for the manufacture of supports is 3 mm with ST 37 material. The planning dimensions of the press tool are (320 x 250 x 217) mm. Press tool components include: shank, punch, dies, top plate, bottom plate, pressure plate, punch holder, stripper plate, guide pillar, guide bush, bolt, and guide pen. The materials used to make press tool components include: ST 37, ST 42, brass, HASCO standard, AISI standard, and Polman Bandung standard. The total force that occurs in the manufacture of supports is 442798.2 N.

Abstract

Welding (Welding) is an activity of connecting metals by going through the metal's liquid phase before finally solidifying and creating a connection. Welding techniques are increasingly widely used in building construction and machine construction. In addition to connecting metals, welding also has a function as a cutting medium. Welding and cutting is a job that requires accuracy. Welding work without tools will result in inaccurate results, so it requires an expert welder to get the desired results. The purpose of this research is to make a plate cutting tool called the Welding Fixture Table. This tool is used to help hold the workpiece in the form of a plate so that the cutting process is easy. This tool has the ability to clamp a maximum plate with a thickness of 6 mm of 750 mm x 610 mm with a weight of 21.6 Kg and can be adjusted to a smaller size, equipped with a sliding shift system on the table top to adjust the size of the workpiece clamping, as well as a system rotation which will make it easier for the operator to select the desired welding or cutting position.

Abstract

Snack food agro-industry is a potential agribusiness to be developed. Agro-industrial activities produce fresh waste that has yet to be utilized. This waste is in the form of organic solid and liquid waste. Waste left or disposed of will result in pollution. The solution to solve these problems is that waste can be recycled, reduced, and reused, named the 3R concept. This community activity involved advanced service methods, including education and demonstrations to apply the 3R concept for waste—further, the activity team also handovers decomposers and some useful equipment’s for making compost. About ten snack agro-industries attended this service activity. The extension service has provided an understanding to the snack agro-industry regarding implementing 3R and alternatives to reduce the amount of their fresh waste. Demonstrations were related to recycling solid waste into compost and assembling filtering equipment to purify liquid waste. This agro-industry counselling needs to be sustained to consistently apply the 3R concept in the production activities carried out.

Abstract

The issue of plastic waste has become a global concern that urgently needs to be addressed. On the other hand, agricultural waste also poses its own challenges. Indonesia is an agrarian country where the agricultural sector plays a significant and vital role in the national economy. One of the major agricultural products in Indonesia, particularly in West Sumatra, is areca nut (betel nut). The areca palm sheath is largely underutilized by farmers, often left unused or burned, which in turn leads to another issue—air pollution. The transformation of organic solid waste into eco-friendly products is still rarely implemented. This study aims to design, assemble, and test a simple press mold to process areca palm sheaths into environmentally friendly food containers. The results show that the mold was successfully designed with dimensions of 140 mm x 140 mm x 20 mm, using ST 42 material. Mold testing with temperature variations (100°C, 150°C, and 175°C) and durations (1 minute, 2 minutes, and 5 minutes) indicated that a temperature of 150°C produced the best results in terms of color and shape accuracy. This innovation is expected to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in reducing plastic waste and utilizing areca palm sheath waste.

Abstract

The utilization of thermal image in supporting precision agriculture is tremendous nowadays. There are many applications of thermal images in agricultural fields, such as detecting crop water stress, monitoring of free-range rabbits, measuring of crop canopy temperature and so on. Furthermore, the importance of thermal camera became the urgent need of perform the smart agriculture. Otherwise, the price of thermal camera is very expensive todays. Then, this kind of camera is not easy to find in the market. Therefore, it makes the utilization of implementation thermal images difficult. In order to handle this problem, the proposed method intends to generate thermal image from visible images. Further, the thermal information concerning with the agriculture, especially the fertility of leaves in paddy fields and the water stress can be monitored. The proposed method uses deep learning architecture to learn the thermal and visible image dataset. It applies Generative Adversarial Network architecture. This GAN pre-trained model trained using 150 images of training dataset and tested using many images of testset. The obtained model is used for generating thermal images from visible images. The results show the constructed thermal image has high accuracy. The assessment metric uses SSIM and PSNR methods. Their indexes show that the results have the high accuracy. The visual assessment shows the reconstructed thermal images also have high precision. Finally, the constructed thermal images can be implemented in smart agriculture purposes.
