Abstract

Image retrieval methods are currently developing towards big data processing. The literature review is focused on image big data extraction with cultural heritage domain as training and testing datasets. The development of image retrieval process starts from content-based using machine algorithms, deep learning to ontology-based. Image recognition research with cultural heritage domain is conducted because of the importance of preserving and appreciating cultural heritage, in this case, cultural heritage images such as Indonesian Batik are discussed. Batik motif images are Indonesian cultural heritage that has thousands of motifs that are grouped into many classes with a non-linear hyperplane. The problem is focused on processing big data that has many classes. Currently research is evolving into knowledge-based image retrieval using ontologies due to semantic gap constraints. The results of this literature study can be the basis for developing research on the application of appropriate deep learning algorithms so as to utilize the hierarchy of classes and subclasses of image ontologies with cultural heritage domains.

Abstract

The use of credit cards in Indonesia has increased significantly, creating complex challenges for financial institutions in understanding user behavior and meeting their needs. This growth poses a higher risk of fraud, customer dissatisfaction due to unmet expectations, and financial instability for both consumers and banks. These issues highlight the urgency of conducting research to segment customers based on their usage behavior. The analyzed dataset includes information from 8,950 credit card users, covering transaction frequency, account balance, and transaction types. This study aims to segment customers using K-Means, DBSCAN, and Hierarchical Clustering algorithms. K-Means groups customers with similar behavioral patterns, DBSCAN identifies irregular clusters and outliers, while Hierarchical Clustering provides insights into relationships between clusters. The analysis results reveal four main segments, each with unique characteristics. For instance, the active user segment exhibits high transaction frequency and large balances, whereas new users demonstrate lower transaction frequency. These findings offer valuable insights for financial institutions to enhance their services and product offerings. By understanding the characteristics of each segment, financial institutions can tailor their marketing strategies and products to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty

Abstract

In Indonesia, general elections are a fundamental democratic process to elect leaders, both the President and Regional Heads, such as Governors, Mayors, and Regents. The selection of suitable and qualified leaders determines the success of a nation, state, and region in welcoming Golden Indonesia 2045. This community service program aims to provide healthy and responsible election education to permanent voters registered and verified by the KPU, especially novice voters with the right to vote. This community service proposes the application of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) with SPIRE (Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, Relationship, and Emotional) criteria as an effective tool for selecting suitable and ideal leadership candidates, both President and Regional Head, among novice voters in grades XI and XII SMA. AHP-SPIRE is a multi-criteria method that allows structured and measurable decision-making based on consideration of various important factors for presidential, Governor, Regent, or Mayor candidates. Ultimately, novice voters, especially students in grades XI and XII, have better decision-making techniques based on the expected criteria.

Abstract

Peran sekolah sangat penting dalam menghasilkan sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang berkualitas dan unggul bagi kemajuan suatu Negara. Semakin baik kualitas penyelenggaraan pendidikan semakin baik pula SDM suatu bangsa. sekolah diharapkan dapat mengikuti perkembangan media pembelajaran dalam beberapa tahun terakhir ini agar peningkatan mutu pendidikan dapat berjalan beriringan dengan perkembangan. Madrasah Aliyah (MA) adalah salah satu satuan pendidikan dengan jenjang menengah atas. Dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan belajar mengajar, Madrasah Aliyah Al Asror berupaya membuat sebuah media pembelajaran yang menarik dengan menampilkan beberapa visual yang dinamis agar para peserta didik lebih tertarik dan dapat memberikan motivasi agar siswa dapat melakukan belajar secara mandiri. Namun dalam membuat media pembelajaran yang menarik masih dirasakan sulit oleh para guru karena kekurangan pengetahuan dan kemampuan desain dari para guru tersebut. Saat ini para guru hanya mencoba membuat media yang dinamis hanya dengan memanfaatkan fitur-fitur yang ada di Microsoft Power Point saja. Padahal saat ini banyak sekali platform yang menawarkan video dan animasi yang menarik untuk pembuatan materi ajar secara dinamis baik offline maupun online. Maka perlu dilakukan kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan media pembelajaran berbasis video dan animasi sebagai media alat bantu pembelajaran pada Madrasah Aliyah Al Asror. Target luaran kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya pemahaman peserta tentang dasar desain grafis untuk pembuatan untuk membuat media pembelajaran, meningkatnya keterampilan tentang pembuatan animasi  yang bagus dan menarik melalui pelatihan pembuatan video dan animasi pembelajaran melalui tool video online, dan terciptanya media pembelajaran untuk materi pembelajaran dengan animasi yang menarik, mudah dan efektif dapat meningkatkan minat belajar siswa secara mandiri. Untuk luaran kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, juga akan dipublikasikan pada jurnal nasional pengabdian masyarakat ABDIMASKU, hasil dokumentasi pelaksanaan diupload pada youtube, dan HKI. Kegiatan PKM ini laksanakan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa dari program studi Desain Komunikasi Visual dan Teknik Informatika yang terakreditasi unggul sehingga kompeten dibidangnya masing-masing.

Abstract

Batik as a heritage of the ancestors of the Indonesian nation certainly needs to be preserved so that it continues to be recognized from generation to generation, one of which is by introducing the diversity of its patterns. Efforts to introduce batik patterns can be made, one of which is by implementing technology that can recognize batik patterns automatically based on batik patterns, namely pattern recognition technology. This study aims to optimize batik pattern recognition using the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and directed acyclic graph SVM (DAGSVM) methods. The stages start from preprocessing, feature extraction, and classification. The study used 310 batik images of 7 different patterns and divided into 240 images for training data and 70 for testing data. DWT method is used in the feature extraction stage while DAG SVM is used in the classification stage. The study was conducted by comparing the accuracy between standard DAG SVM and DAG SVM that has been optimized with DWT and the results of the accuracy test can be proven that adding the DWT method with DAG SVM can increase accuracy by 3%.

Abstract

Accurate rainfall prediction is essential for agriculture, disaster mitigation, and water resource management, especially in the face of climate change impacts. This research aims to improve the accuracy of rainfall prediction using gradient boosting and CatBoost with a voting classifier approach. The data used in this study amounted to 1,461 based on weather data from BMKG Semarang City (2020-2023). The data was analyzed using the Gradient Boosting and CatBoost algorithms with a voting classifier framework. The input features include temperature (Tn, Tx, Tavg), humidity (RH_avg), rainfall (RR), length of irradiation (ss), wind speed (ff_x, ff_avg), and wind direction (ddd_x). The GridSearchCV technique was used for hyperparameter optimization. The model predicts based on rainfall intensity categories, namely no rain, light rain, moderate rain, heavy rain, and extreme rain. The results showed that the model with optimization and ensemble approach achieved 87.89% accuracy, 0.88 precision, 0.88 recall, 0.88 f1-score, and 0.8486 cohen's kappa. Meanwhile, gradient boosting and CatBoost individually produced 75.99% and 85.68% accuracy. With these data input features, the model is able to predict extreme rainfall categories that match the actual data. This research is an important contribution to the development of early weather warning systems, disaster mitigation, and climate management.

Abstract

Pengenalan karakter plat nomor kendaraan memiliki peran penting untuk tujuan identifikasi secara resmi, penerapanya telah banyak dilakukan untuk identifikasi otomatis seperti pada tol elektronik, tempat parkir, dsb. Penelitian berkaitan dengan pengenalan karakter setidaknya memiliki fase-fase seperti segmentasi, fitur extraksi dan klasifikasi dimana tiap fase memiliki proses yang rumit. Keberhasilan dalam proses pengenalan karakter sangat tergantung dalam proses fitur ekstraksi, Sehingga pemilihan metode fitur ekstraksi yang dapat mengekstrak fitur-fitur yang relevan perlu dilakukan agar tingkat akurasi sistem pengenalan karakter dapat ditingkatkan. discrete wavelet transform telah banyak digunakan sebagai metode untuk ekstraksi fitur, metode ini melakukan ekstraksi dengan melakukan dekomposisi pada  ruang vektor ke dalam ruang vektor bersarang dengan resolusi yang berbeda. Dalam penelitian ini metode discrete wavelet transform dikombinasikan dengan support vector machine untuk meningkatkan akurasi pengenalan karakter. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengukur tingkat akurasi dari 100 citra plat nomor, dengan penambahan metode discrete wavelet transform dan support vector machine tingkat akurasi klasifikasi mencapai 92% yang artinya   mendapatkan peningkatan akurasi sebesar 8% dibanding klasifikasi menggunakan SVM standar.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi digital telah membawa banyak manfaat dalam bidang pendidikan dan akses informasi. Namun, kemudahan tersebut juga menghadirkan tantangan serius bagi generasi muda, khususnya maraknya praktik judi online yang memanfaatkan celah dalam literasi digital pelajar yang masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi strategi peningkatan literasi digital sebagai upaya preventif terhadap risiko keterlibatan siswa dalam praktik judi online, dengan studi kasus di SMA At-Thohiriyyah Kota Semarang. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei pra dan pasca intervensi, wawancara mendalam, serta observasi partisipatif selama kegiatan pelatihan literasi digital. Fokus utama mencakup pemetaan pemahaman awal siswa, pengukuran tingkat literasi digital sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan, serta evaluasi perubahan sikap dan perilaku terhadap konten digital yang berisiko. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kesadaran siswa terhadap dampak finansial, sosial, dan psikologis dari praktik judi online. Siswa juga menunjukkan kemampuan yang lebih baik dalam mengenali informasi kredibel, berpikir kritis terhadap konten manipulatif, serta memanfaatkan teknologi secara bijak dan bertanggung jawab. Temuan ini merekomendasikan pengembangan program literasi digital yang holistik, kontekstual, dan berkelanjutan dengan melibatkan sekolah, keluarga, serta pemangku kepentingan untuk menciptakan ekosistem digital yang aman dan suportif bagi peserta didik.

Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 1 Kendal dengan fokus pada peningkatan kompetensi siswa jurusan Desain Komunikasi Visual melalui pelatihan Desainer Grafis Junior. Kegiatan dirancang untuk mengembangkan keterampilan teknis dalam pengoperasian perangkat lunak desain profesional (CorelDraw dan Adobe Photoshop) serta memperdalam pemahaman prinsip desain visual. Pelaksanaan meliputi analisis kebutuhan, pemberian pelatihan secara bertahap, dan evaluasi capaian melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada aspek pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta, dengan luaran berupa karya desain grafis, video pembelajaran, serta pendaftaran hak kekayaan intelektual.

Abstract

Fish farming is an activity of raising fish or developing fish in a controlled environment. However, if you look at the statistical data, the fish consumption level of Kendal Regency residents is still low, namely 24 kg/cap/year, far below the national fish consumption rate. From the existing problems, fish cultivators, especially those in the border areas of Kendal Regency, mostly sell their fish production outside the area. As a result, the selling price is lower because it is deducted from the transport price. Another problem occurs for cultivators who are just starting a business. Usually they have sufficient capital to build a business, but they do not yet have acquaintances with fish traders who are willing to buy their crops. So they often use social media facilities to offer their crops. Based on the existing problems, it is possible to help solve problems by utilizing information technology. Utilization of a technology in selling fish can help farmers so that sales are more focused and produce good sales, so an application is made that is expected to help overcome existing problems, researchers use the prototype method to find out user needs
