Abstract

Estimates of height based on bone length is the femur bone are the most widely used methods, because they have good correlation coefficient values. This study was conducted using a descriptive analytical method with a cross sectional approach to 38 subjects who were over 21 years old and there were no bone abnormalities. The averages of height Bughis is 162,758 ± 6,09, length of femur bone Bughis right is 33,2 ± 3,09 and left is 32,158 ± 2,86. By using Pearson correlation analysis, the value of r = 0.855 for the right femur bone with height and r = 0.862 for the left femur bone with height very strongthWhich means a very strong relationship between the length of the femur bone with height. And the Bughis regression formula to estimate of height is Y = 106,767 + 1,683X (right) and Y = 102,026 + 1,835X (left), meanwhile Y = estimated height (cm) and X = Femur Bone Length. And for the correlation of femur length with age, r = -0.206 for the right femur bone and r = -0.223 for the left femur bone is weak. There is correlation of femur bone length to height and age in Bughis adult men at Karang City East Teluk Betung Subdistrict Bandar Lampung City.

Abstract

Surgery is a follow-up action of invasive emergency treatment by making an incision in a certain part of the body so that it can reach the target organ, after which it ends with closing or suturing the wound. The patient will experience the postoperative impact which is limited movement due to the pain felt after the surgical wound. Furthermore, because the patient cannot mobilize properly, it will affect wound healing. This has an impact on the patient's length of stay which is getting longer and will ultimately make the patient's quality of life worse. Patients with prolonged length of stay are at risk of developing other complications because the patient experiences a decrease in functional status during hospitalization. In addition, the impact of an extended length of stay can increase the financing burden for the hospital. Therefore, efforts are needed to accelerate effective post-surgical healing by implementing the ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery) protocol. ERAS is a multidisciplinary-based perioperative management protocol with the aim that postoperative patients experience immediate recovery by maintaining postoperative organ function, reducing stress response during surgery, and reducing morbidity in surgery. In several studies, the length of stay of postoperative patients applying the ERAS protocol was shorter than that of patients who did not use the ERAS protocol. This is because in the ERAS protocol, preparations are made for patients starting from pre-admission, pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative, each of which has components that can have an impact on accelerating post-operative patient recovery so that the patient's length of stay becomes shorter.

Abstract

Extra pulmonary tuberculosis (extra pulmonary TB) is a TB infection that attacks organs other than the lungs and is also a complication of TB. Adaptive immune response plays an important role in TB patients, one of which is the role of lymphocytes as antigen-antibody specificity and monocytes as phagocytosis of pathogens. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between the incidence of extrapulmonary TB patients with lymphocyte and monocyte levels in RSUD dr. H. Abdul Moeloek Lampung Province. This research is a type of retrospective analytic observational study with a cross-sectional research design which was conducted in December 2020 levels in RSUD dr. H. Abdul Moeloek Lampung Province by looking at medical records for the period January 2018-December 2019. The sampling technique was consecutive sampling and calculated using the Slovin formula with a total sample of 103 patients. The analysis used is the chi square test. Central nervous system TB patients totaled 80 people who had lymphocytopenia 66 people (82.5%) and normal lymphocytes 14 people (17.5%), in TB lymphocytopenic patients there were 23 people who had lymphocytopenia 14 people (60.9%) and normal lymphocytes 9 people (39.1%). As for monocyte levels, there were 80 central nervous system TB patients with normal monocytes 50 people (62.5%) and monocytosis as many as 30 people (37.5%), in TB lymphadenitis patients there were 23 people with normal monocytes 12 people (52 .2%) and monocytosis in 11 people (47.8%). The results of the chi square test on lymphocyte levels with a value of p = 0.028 and monocyte levels with a value of p = 0.373, which means that there is a relationship between the incidence of extra pulmonary TB and lymphocyte levels and there is no relationship between the incidence of extra pulmonary TB and monocyte levels levels in RSUD dr. H. Abdul Moeloek Lampung Province.

Abstract

Excessive consumption of monosodium glutamate has a neurotoxic effect on the brain, one of which is the cerebellum. The caffeine and chlorogenic acid compounds contained in coffee beans have potential as an anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective agent thus protecting rats from neurotoxicity by glutamate involved with the death of cerebellar purkinje cells. This research is an experimental study with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a Posttest Only Control Group Design approach. The research subjects were 25 rats which were divided into 5 groups which are K- (aquadest 3,5 ml/day), K+ (MSG 4 g/kgBW/day), P1, P2, P3 (MSG 4 g/kgBW/day and robusta coffee extract lampung 1,5 ml/200gBW/day with a concentration of 0,03 g/ml; 0,06 g/ml; 0,12 g/ml respectively) with each group consisting of 5 rats. The number of purkinje cells is calculated by manual counting assisted by Image J software in 3 sections with 5 visual fields each in 400x magnification. The average number of cerebellar purkinje cells in K-, K+, P1, P2, and P3 were 22,72; 11,88; 22,44; 25,28; 27,12 respectively. One Way ANOVA test obtained p value=0,000 (p<0,05). Post Hoc LSD test on the number of purkinje cells showed a significant differences (p<0,05) between K- and K+ (p=0,000), K- and P3 (p=0,006), K+ and P1 (p=0,000), K+ and P2 (p=0,000), K+ and P3 (p=0,000), and P1 and P3 (p=0,004). There is an effect of robusta coffee extract (Coffea canephora) lampung againsts to the number of cerebellar purkinje cells in male rats strain (Rattus norvegicus) Sprague dawley induced by monosodium glutamate.
