Abstract

Unified Modeling Language (UML) code generator tools are available to parsing UML diagrams intosource code. Currently, UML 2.0 tools that can parse into Python’s source code are still in work planningphase. This research aims to create UML code generator that can parse XML Metadata Interchange (XMI) intoPython’s source code. XMI defines the design of program using UML 2.0 standard. Design process of thisprototype uses UML standard version 2.0. On this research, algorithm for rules of parsing XMI into Python’ssource code was created.Keywords: UML, Python, Parsing

Abstract

This paper presents a web-based application for a self assessment audit tool that is guided by ISO17799guidelines.The ISO17799 is a code of practice for information security management as part of the informationsecurity standard, and provides a set of controls and procedure to achieve security information. This selfassessment audit system shall indicate any security threats based on a pre-defined checklist, which is derivedfrom the implemented audit program of information technology as guided by the ISO17799. Current state of thisdevelopment is limited to Access Control, and System Development & Maintenance categories.Keywords: Web-based application, ISO 17799, IT Audit Program.

Abstract

Unified Modeling Language (UML) is a de-facto object-orieted model standard. Manymodels can be visualized and designed by using UML tool, e.g. Rational Rose. We enrich theUML by means of adding a capability to produce a set of formal specifiation of Z notation.This additonal capability is a part of a studi on formal framework of transformationrelational databases to object-relational databases. The enrichment of UML in formalspecification will give an opportunity to explore UML class diagram in the sense of formalmethods. This approach will enable to use the streght of formal methods within UML.Keywords: class diagram, UML, formal methods, formal specification, Z.
