Abstract

Innovation plays a crucial role in shaping business competitive advantage. However, there is still little research in the digital era explaining how small and medium enterprises (SMEs) can produce innovative performance amidst rapid technological developments. This study suggests that digital leadership is essential in driving innovative performance to achieve a competitive advantage. Drawing on the upper-echelon theory, this research examines how digital leadership influences competitive advantage through innovative performance. The survey was distributed to owners or managers of SMEs across several industries in Indonesia. A total of 113 SMEs took part in the survey and were included in the data collection. The data was analyzed using structural equation modeling with the AMOS software. The research findings confirm that digital leadership influences SMEs' competitive advantage through innovative performance. Cross-sectional research and a self-report questionnaire are utilized in this investigation. We then engage in a thorough discussion of the research's implications.

Abstract

Objective: to analyze the risk factors that affect MDR-TB in Indonesia through a literature review. Methods: This study employed a literature review method to analyze the risk factors contributing to the increase in multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) cases in Indonesia. Relevant articles published between 2020 and 2024 were selected through databases such as Google Scholar, Garuda Kemdikbud, and ResearchGate, with the final analysis focusing on 9 articles that met the inclusion criteria. Results: The results of the study showed that the incidence of MDR-TB was influenced by internal factors such as TB treatment history, drug availability, nutritional status, comorbidities (diabetes, HIV/AIDS), drug side effects, and smoking. External factors include housing density, social support, socioeconomic conditions, access to health facilities, the role of PMOs, history of contact with MDR-TB patients, and jobs that increase risk. Conclusion: The practical implications are the importance of improving the implementation of treatment through DOT and technology programs, patient education, and management of risk factors such as smoking, malnutrition, and comorbidities. Improving access to health, social support, and healthier environmental conditions can also prevent the spread and improve the success of MDR-TB treatment.

Both the simultaneous and partial effects will be taken into account during the analysis. To conduct this research, a combination of descriptive and explanatory surveys was utilized as the research methods. The employees of PT Citra Teknik Medika in Bandung were selected as the unit of analysis, with a sample size of 33 individuals. This investigation follows a causality approach and adopts a cross-sectional time frame. Upon examination of the study's results, it became evident that the workforce at PT Citra Teknik Medika in Bandung City possessed diverse viewpoints regarding leadership. The majority of employees responded favorably, although the overall level of empowerment within the organization was deemed less than satisfactory. In regard to performance, the employees of PT Citra Teknik Medika displayed a positive trajectory. Additionally, the study unveiled that both leadership and empowerment jointly contribute to employee performance. However, when analyzed individually, it was determined that leadership has a more significant influence on performance than empowerment. When seeking to improve overall performance, it is crucial to prioritize empowerment as it has a significant impact. Hence, it is highly recommended that the employees of PT Citra Teknik Medika in Bandung City make empowerment their top priority and actively participate in ongoing initiatives. Abstract

Electronic archiving is a development in the field of archives made possible by information technology. The Batu Gadang Village Head Office is a government agency responsible for serving the community and managing community activities. All members of government agencies must possess the ability to properly administer and store documents. However, the Batu Gadang Village office still relies on manual archive storage, and the proficiency of its employees and administration in electronic archive management remains limited. This leads to records piling up in cupboards, making them difficult to find when needed, and resulting in improper maintenance and a lack of guaranteed confidentiality for the stored information. To address this problem, the community service team provided electronic archive training. Participants taking part in the training were advised to be familiar with using computers. The activities included providing training and then facilitating participants to practice using electronic archives directly with the Canon File for Windows tool. Through this training, officers can utilize the Canon File for Windows tool as an electronic archiving solution.

Abstract

Employee performance remains a critical determinant of organizational success, particularly in operational units of state-owned enterprises where efficiency and precision are essential. Among the many influencing factors, the work environment—both physical and non-physical—has drawn increasing attention as a strategic element of human resource development. This study aims to examine the relationship between work environment and employee performance at PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Divisi Regional II Sumatera Barat, focusing on UPT Balai Yasa Padang as a technical operations unit. Using a quantitative approach and a dyadic data collection method, the study involved 32 respondents through saturated sampling. Employees assessed their work environment, while supervisors evaluated employee performance, thereby minimizing common method bias. Data were collected via structured questionnaires adapted from validated instruments and analyzed using Spearman Rank Correlation. The findings reveal a moderate yet statistically significant positive correlation (rs = 0.482, p = 0.005) between the perceived quality of the work environment and employee performance. These results emphasize the importance of ergonomic, communicative, and psychologically safe work conditions in shaping productivity and accountability. Methodologically, the study contributes to organizational research by demonstrating the value of role-based dyadic assessments. The conclusion underscores the need for integrated environmental and supervisory improvements as part of performance management strategies in operationally intensive sectors.
