Abstract

CV Dynasty is a trading company engaged in the distribution of bottled drinking water. The CV Dynasty 611 company collaborates with suppliers to supply bottled drinking water. In carrying out its business processes, this company is often hampered by inventory management. This can be seen from the accumulation of goods and frequent placing of orders with suppliers, as well as problems in fulfilling products to consumers. So a method is needed to solve problems in inventory management and optimize storage and ordering costs and avoid buildup in the warehouse. So the inventory management method was chosen Economic order quantity, silver meal heuristic and Min – max method. These three methods are inventory management methods which are expected to be able to solve problems that occur at the CV Dynasty 611 company. The EOQ method produces an order frequency of 19 times, safety stock of 102 crates, ROP of 118 crates with a total inventory cost of IDR 36,925,824 and inventory cost efficiency of IDR 2,226,976 with an inventory cost efficiency percentage of 6%. Meanwhile, using the silver meal heuristic method produces an ordering frequency of 12 times a year, safety stock 156, ROP 114, total inventory costs IDR 8,881088 with inventory cost efficiency IDR 30,271,712 with a percentage of 77%. Meanwhile, using the min - max method produces an order frequency of 13 times in one year with a safety stock of 102 crates, ROP 114 crates with a total inventory cost of 34,071,456 with an inventory cost efficiency of IDR 5,081,341 with an inventory cost efficiency percentage of 13%. Therefore, it is recommended that companies use the silver meal heuristic method to optimize inventory costs.

Planning to improve the quality of surpet products (carpet mattresses). The Kano method is used to find out what attributes need to be paid attention to, maintained and improved. The House of Quality method is used to make improvement proposals. The research results show that there are two attributes that need to be considered, namely: the product has neat stitching and the product design has its own characteristics, there are five attributes that need to be maintained, namely: the product uses quality raw materials, the upholstery feels soft & soft, the product can long lasting, varied product designs, and attractive product designs., and what attributes need to be improved, there are two attributes, namely: flexible surpet products, and having sizes according to needs. Abstract

Quality is a consumer's perspective on a product regarding all aspects that consumers need, one of which is freedom from product defects. The level of defective sweater products at the Garut Knitting Convection still exceeds the specified limits, so it is necessary to conduct a study regarding quality control. The aim of this research is to determine the types of defects and factors that cause defects in sweater products, and to design improvements so that they can minimize the level of defects. The approach used utilizes the defining, measuring, analyzing, improving and controlling (DMAIC) stages of the Six Sigma method, and is elaborated with quality control tools. The research results show the measurement results of the type of sweater defects that are often found, namely the type of stain defect. Next, an analysis was carried out using a cause and effect diagram on the type of stain defects so that several factors were obtained, and the risk of failure for each identified factor was measured and produced material factors with the potential for dirty raw materials with the largest risk priority number (RPN). Meanwhile, further analysis was carried out on the greatest potential risk of failure so that an improvement plan could be obtained to reduce the level of defects in sweater products by adding yarn cleaning tools to be processed, as well as preparing SOP’s for using yarn cleaning tools on knitting machines. The results of implementing improvements that have been carried out have proven to be able to reduce the level of loss in sweater products by 4.37%.
