Abstract

This research aims to investigate efforts to empower Sukamanah village communities through digital literacy in the introduction and development of relevant skills to face the Digitalization Era 4.0. This era was marked by significant changes in information and communication technology, which influenced various aspects of human life. Empowering Sukamanah village communities in facing these changes is becoming increasingly important. This study involved collecting qualitative and quantitative data from a number of respondents representing various levels of Sukamanah village society. Effective digital literacy training methods will be explored and evaluated, along with their impact on increasing the knowledge and skills of Sukamanah village communities in facing the challenges of the Digitalization Era 4.0. Apart from that, this research will also analyze the social, economic and cultural factors that influence the success of efforts to empower the Sukamanah village community through digital literacy. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide a clearer view of the role of digital literacy in increasing the capacity of the Sukamanah village community to participate actively in the increasingly digitalized Sukamanah village community. These findings will be a source of insight for policy makers, educators, and various parties interested in advancing the capabilities of Sukamanah village communities in facing the Digitalization Era 4.0.

Abstract

MSMEs in Indonesia have a significant contribution to GDP, with papaya skin being one of the innovations in the MSME sector as a meat tenderizer. This research was carried out in an analysis of company design in terms of the feasibility aspect of processing papaya skin into papain products, based on literature that shows the effectiveness of papain as a meat softener. Papaya skin waste which contains papain can be made into flour and does not change its role in softening the flesh. The method of making it is through a drying process and is not too complicated so it can be an effective method and apart from that, the raw material for papaya skin waste is easy to obtain by utilizing the waste. produced from a sweets factory made from young papaya in Garut. Based on this, research was carried out to design a business for utilizing papaya skin waste for meat softening and to determine the feasibility aspect. The results show that papain products produced from 100% papaya skin meet the expected criteria. The market aspect in Garut Regency shows promising business potential considering the market demand for meat income to the Garut Regency market is 224.66 tons/year with the need for meat softener papain products estimated at 748,866 kg/month. The technical aspects in processing papain products using the drying method and the evaluation of financial aspects through calculating material costs, investment, COGS, BEP, PP, IRR and ROI confirm that this business is feasible to run with significant growth opportunities in the future.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the description of the business model of Sustainable Coffee MSMEs in terms of the company's BMC and to find out the company's strategy using SWOT and AHP analysis which can be developed based on the BMC results and then design the business model that will be implemented by Sustainable Coffee MSMEs which is described in BMC future. The approach used, namely descriptive qualitative with Business Model Canvas analysis techniques and SWOT Analysis. The respondents in this research were three respondents who have an important role in Sustainable Coffee MSMEs. The results of this research are improvements to the current Business Model Canvas mapping which includes nine elements, namely customer segment, value proposition, customer relationship, channel, revenue stream, key partnership, key activity, key resource, cost structure and the results of the SWOT analysis regarding design business development strategy from the Business Model Canvas. The results of the SWOT analysis provide an overview of the company's condition in quadrant III (WO). Three strategies were obtained from the SWOT (WO) matrix, then weighted using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine which strategy had the highest priority based on expert views. Data processing using expert choice 11 software obtained the WO3 strategy which was used as an alternative company business strategy. Formulated proposals regarding innovation and additional product varieties of subsidiary companies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan rencana pengendalian keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja di CV. Sinar Brahma Rasid Garut. Penyamakan kulit sapi adalah proses yang berpotensi menimbulkan berbagai bahaya keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3) bagi pekerja dan lingkungan. CV. Sinar Brahma Rasid adalah perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang penyamakan kulit sapi, kambing, dan domba dengan memakai berbagai metode penyamakan seperti minireal, nabati, alami, sintetis, minyak, atau kombinasi. Untuk mencegah dan mengurangi resiko k3, perusahaan ini menerapkan metode hirarc (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, & Risk Control)  HIRARC dan 5W1H (What, Why, Where, Who,dan How) dalam perencanaan pengendalian resiko K3. Metode HIRARC digunakan untuk mengidetifikasi bahaya yang terkait dengan setiap tahapan proses penyamakan kulit sapi, kambing, dan domba. Metode 5W1H digunakan untuk menjelaskan secara rinci apa yang harus dilakukan, mengapa harus dilakukan, dimana harus dilakukan, kapan harus dilakukan, siapa yang harus bertanggung jawab, dan bagaimana cara melakukannya dalam pengendalian resiko k3. Dengan menggunakan metode HIRARC dan 5W1H, CV. Brahma Rasid dapat meningkatkan kinerja k3 dengan meminimalisir terjadinya kecelakaan kerja, kerugian ekonomis dan non-ekonomis, serta dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terdapat resiko bahaya yang paling dominan yaitu dengan nilai persentase tinggkat Tinggi sebesar 67% atau sebanyak 8 resiko bahaya, persentase tinggkat Extrim sebesar 21% atau sebanyak 3 resiko bahaya, persentase tingkat sedang sebesar 12% atau sebanyak 5 resiko bahaya.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the added value of tapioca flour waste/by-products (ongok) and their contribution to the company in Ciwangi Village, Limbangan, Garut—whether it is profitable enough, and to explore the potential of these by-products as a breakthrough for a new product, namely kerupuk elod. The study used the Hayami method and SWOT analysis. The Hayami method was used to calculate added value by involving input and output, and by considering several key factors in value-added analysis such as technical and market factors, as well as supporting concepts like conversion factors, labor coefficients, and output value. SWOT analysis was used to determine the company’s position and to formulate appropriate development strategies.The research results showed that the feasibility of the tapioca flour business at PD. Mekar Jaya is profitable, with a profitability of 11%, indicating a gain. The R/C Ratio obtained was 1.31, indicating business efficiency. The NPV was IDR 373,601,200, confirming the project's viability. The BEP was IDR 448,486,270 in monetary terms and 4,555.94 kg in unit terms. The added value or profit obtained was IDR 9,839,900, with an added value ratio of 49%. The recommended development strategy for PD. Mekar Jaya’s by-product utilization includes government support for building waste processing facilities, directing waste processing toward value-added products, and developing a variety of cassava-based and cassava-waste-based products.

Abstract

This corn sheller machine will be discussed as an effective and safe tool to perform the task of shelling corn at a low production cost, safely, and economically affordable. This machine can help farmers shell maize with cheap or unused materials, reduce time and effort, and optimize the use of resources, resulting in better economic returns. Not much research has been done in Indonesia that looks at how to make an efficient, cost-effective, and safe maize sheller machine. To make an efficient, cost-effective, and safe corn sheller machine, this research uses the VDI 2221 method. The focus of her research was smallholder farmers who face geographical challenges and limited resources. The machine was made using inexpensive items such as wood, V-belt, 125 Watt Shimizu PS 128 BIT electric motor, and 2-inch pipe. Economic, safety, and efficiency analysis were conducted for the validation of the machine.Anthropometry is a tool to measure body size.

Abstract

Using Industry 4.0-based technology, this research aims to improve the efficiency of broiler feeding. The automated feeding system developed is capable of regulating the schedule and amount of feed with great accuracy and enables remote monitoring through the Internet of Things (IoT). The results show that, when compared to manual methods, this technology can increase productivity by up to 20%, reduce operational costs, and accelerate the payback time of investment by up to 27%. With these findings, there is a great opportunity to increase competition in Indonesian broiler farming.

Abstract

The problem of urban waste management is a big challenge in Garut Regency. This research designs waste transportation routes using the Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (CVRP) method with a combination of Saving Matrix and Nearest Neighbor algorithms. This method is more efficient than other algorithms such as genetics, with a simple application that is relevant for urban areas. The results show that the number of routes can be reduced from 12 to 9 (25%), the travel distance reduced from 518.18 km to 312.69 km (a saving of 205.49 km), and the operational cost dropped from Rp 17,618,120 to Rp 10,631,460 (a saving of Rp 6,986,660 or 39.65%). In addition to supporting cost and time efficiency, this method reduces vehicle emissions and environmental impacts. This study provides a practical solution for the Environmental Agency (DLH) and opens up opportunities for IoT technology integration in the future.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, many problems were faced by the community. One of the problems faced is regarding the sluggish economy in the pandemic era and online learning which is currently being driven by the government. The main problem in the economy is the lack of creativity in the community to improve their economy in the current pandemic era. Meanwhile, the main problems in online learning start from teachers who only give assignments without a clear explanation to their students, students who do not have technological devices such as smartphones, there is no internet network and students' learning motivation is lacking in dealing with this online learning. We show this Maya Community Service to increase community ideas and creativity in increasing ideas to utilize local commodities in improving the economy, then trying to increase teacher capacity in processing learning materials and increasing student collaboration in dealing with online learning. The methodology used is the Integration methodology for KKN participants, where the implementation method uses a combination method, but online activities dominate due to situations that make it impossible to carry out offline related to health protocols. The results achieved are by increasing the ideas and creativity of the community in processing local commodities they can improve the economy in Karyamukti village and by increasing the ability of teachers to process online learning materials and students can access and understand material in carrying out online learning processes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan potensi Desa Sukamaju, Kecamatan Cilawu, Kabupaten Garut, khususnya pada sektor pariwisata dan UMKM. Melalui pendekatan partisipatif, tim peneliti melakukan redesain Desa Wisata Sindangkasih, pembuatan website baru, dan pembuatan logo untuk Usaha teh hijau lokal. Metode yang digunakan meliputi survei lapangan, diskusi dengan pengelola desa wisata dan pemilik usaha, serta implementasi desain menggunakan keahlian multidisiplin dari mahasiswa Institut Teknologi Garut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa redesain desa wisata, termasuk penambahan gedung serba guna dan sekretariat, berpotensi meningkatkan daya tarik wisata. Pembuatan website baru meningkatkan visibilitas dan aksesibilitas informasi desa wisata, sementara logo baru produk teh hijau memperkuat identitas merek dan daya saing produk. Ketiga inisiatif ini berpotensi meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan dan penjualan produk, yang pada gilirannya dapat mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal dan kesejahteraan masyarakat Desa Sukamaju.
