Abstract

Single sign-on (SSO) is a session authentication process that allows a user to login by using user registered identity and password in order to access appropriate applications. The authentication process takes the user in to login for all the applications they have been given rights to and eliminates further prompts when they switch applications during a particular session. Its implementation will provide a reduction of password burden to access many applications for every login process. Ease of access through a single account needs to be addressed carefully to ensure the authentication credentials that are not scattered and known by others. Currently, there are several open source SSO authentication methods available. However, the use of existing authentication methods is still vulnerable to attack, such as Man-In-The-Middle. In this study, SSO authentication algorithm using One-Time Password (OTP) is proposed using a combination of time synchronization and salt value. These combinations are used to verify user session while accessing any application with SSO mechanism. The results show that the proposed OTP algorithm can handle SSO authentication process in good fashion and also protect from Man-In-The-Middle Attack.

Abstract

Electroencephalography (EEG) data contains recordings of brain signal activity divided into several channels with different impulse responses that can be used to detect human emotions. In classifying emotions, EEG data needs to be parsed or signal processed into values that can help recognize emotions. Research related to electroencephalography has been carried out previously and has experienced success using the Fuzzy C-Means, Multiple Discriminant Analysis, and Deep Neural Network methods. This study was conducted to classify human emotions from electroencephalography data on 10 participants. Each participant carried out 40 trials of testing using the Power Spectral Density (PSD) and Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) methods at the initial stage of classification and the Decision Tree method as the final method that can improve the accuracy of the two methods at the initial stage of classification. The results of this study were the finding of 2 participants (3 trials) who were unmatched from a total of 10 participants (400 trials), which were analyzed using the decision tree method. The decision tree method can correct this error and increase the classification result to 100%. The DWT method is used as a reference in the classification of emotions, considering that the DWT method has an output of arousal and valance values . In contrast, the PSD method only has a combined output.

Abstract

Multi-spectral signals are the result of the interaction between electromagnetic energy and the test material, which is then displayed by the signal fluctuation pattern of the test material. Signal fluctuations are inaccuracies in the peak amplitude of a signal caused by noise in the data. This fluctuation pattern reflects the properties of the test material, especially in this case H2O. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to use the right filter to smooth the signal and reduce the noise in the data so that the fluctuation pattern obtained is clearer and more accurate. This research involves the segmentation of HF fluctuation patterns, followed by the application of a Savitzky-Golay filter for signal smoothing. Signal quality is assessed objectively by calculating the Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) and Mean Square Error (MSE). The research results show that the Savitzky-Golay filter succeeded in reducing noise and producing clearer fluctuation patterns. The SNR value varies, with the largest value reaching 16.6146 dB, and the smallest value being 3.0171 dB. This research contributes to a new method, namely the Savitzky-Golay adaptive filter, to identify multi-spectral signal fluctuation patterns more effectively, thereby enabling more accurate identification of fluctuation patterns. Apart from that, this research also provides insight into the characteristics of H2O which can be identified through fluctuation patterns, especially in certain segments with high amplitude. This method has potential for applications in various fields, especially in precise multi-spectral signal analysis.

Abstract

Electroencephalography (EEG) signals are highly susceptible to noise and artifacts, which can degrade analysis accuracy, particularly in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) studies. Therefore, effective preprocessing is required to improve signal quality prior to further analysis. This study proposes an integrated EEG preprocessing pipeline that combines a Finite Impulse Response (FIR) band-pass filter (0.5–70 Hz) with notch filtering and detrending, followed by temporal denoising using the Stationary Wavelet Transform (SWT) with the Daubechies 4 mother wavelet and spatial filtering based on SPHARA. This dual-domain approach is designed to address both temporal and spatial noise in multichannel EEG signals. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed FIR combined with SWT and SPHARA pipeline consistently outperforms single-domain preprocessing methods, achieving a maximum Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) of 31.93 dB. The proposed method also produces the lowest Mean Absolute Error (MAE) (16.81 µV) and Standard Deviation (SD) (0.75 µV), indicating high signal stability with minimal amplitude distortion. Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) values remain stable within the range of 29.5–592.3 µV, with a minimum RMSE of 29.5 µV, demonstrating effective noise suppression while preserving signal energy. These results confirm that integrating temporal and spatial preprocessing significantly improves EEG signal quality and supports more reliable EEG analysis for ASD-related studies.

Abstract

Rice production forecasting plays an important role in supporting future agricultural planning, food supply management, and food security. Accurate yield prediction allows governments and farmers to estimate production outcomes and develop appropriate strategies to maintain stable food availability. This study addresses this gap by comparing four regression-based machine learning models: Random Forest, XGBoost, Support Vector Regression (SVR), and Artificial Neural Network (ANN). All models were trained and tested using the same dataset to ensure a fair evaluation. Model performance was measured using the coefficient of determination (R²). The results show that Random Forest achieved the best performance (R² = 0.963), followed by XGBoost (R² = 0.959). In contrast, SVR (R² = -0.064) and ANN (R² = -2.417) performed poorly, indicating limited predictive capability. Overall, these findings suggest that ensemble-based methods, particularly Random Forest and XGBoost, are more reliable and effective for rice production forecasting compared to SVR and ANN.

Abstract

Kata kunci: pengabdian masyarakat, parental control, konten internetAbstract The high penetration of smartphones in Indonesia, which has reached 194.26 million users or around 89% of the total population, has had a direct impact on increasing access to the internet, including by children. Unfortunately, this high access has not been balanced by age limit regulations or parental awareness of the negative impacts of inappropriate digital content, such as violence, pornography, and hate speech. To overcome this problem, the community service team conducted outreach activities for parents at the Labuy Village Integrated Health Post, Aceh Besar Regency, regarding the negative impacts of the internet as well as training in the use of parental control applications to filter content and limit children's access to the internet. This activity aims to increase the role of parents in supervising their children's use of gadgets, as well as creating a safer and more child-friendly digital environment. Keywords: community service, parental control, internet content
