Abstract

Menstrual pain or dysmenorrhea in Indonesia is experienced by 55% of the population. This dysmenorrhea can cause the body to become weak and interfere with school activities for young girls. The treatment for dysmenorrhea is that young women can consult a doctor, drink herbal concoctions or do light physical activities. The purpose of the study was to determine the knowledge and behavior of adolescent girls in overcoming dysmenorrhea at SMAN 13 Muara Fajar Pekanbaru. This research was conducted using a cross-sectional design. The number of samples obtained was 44 people with purposive sampling technique. The data collection tool uses a questionnaire. In this study, the data were analyzed univariately and bivariately with Chi Square Test. The results of the bivariate analysis obtained P value = 0.029 <0.05. This can be interpreted that there is a relationship between the knowledge of adolescents about handling dysmenorrhea with the behavior of young women in overcoming dysmenorrhea. In the results of the analysis, the value of OR = 8.035, which means that young women who have good knowledge will be at risk of doing good behavior 8 times in overcoming dysmenorrhea.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the incidence of dysmenorrhea is 64.25%. Based on the data shows that primary dysmenorrhoea is experienced by 60-75% of young women. About 25% of women experience it and it is found mostly in women aged 20 years. Avocado contains vitamin B6, vitamin E, calcium and magnesium to reduce PMS symptoms. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of avocado juice against reducing menstrual pain in young women at SMAN 7 Pekanbaru. This type of research is quantitative with a Quasi-Experimental research design. This research was conducted from October 2021 to June 2022. The population of this study was 23 young women in class XI of SMAN 7 Pekanbaru in 2022 who experienced mild and moderate pain. The total sample of 15 people with stratified random sampling with a pre-test & post-test design Data analysis used is univariate and bivariate. The results of the study, based on the Wilcoxon test obtained a P-value of 0.001 > α 0.05 then Ha was accepted meaning that there is an effectiveness of avocado juice against reducing menstrual pain ( Dysmenorrhoea) Adolescents at SMAN 7 Pekanbaru in 2022. It is hoped that the research site will be able to provide information on the Effectiveness of avocado juice against reducing menstrual pain as a non-pharmacological drug in young women.

Abstract

Based on the results of basic health research, the incidence of anemia in Indonesia is still high, there are 37.1% of pregnant women who are anemic. Based on an initial survey conducted at the Pekanbaru City Health Office, from data on pregnant women number 2 in 2019, there were 2,333 people in the working area of ​​the Rejosari Health Center, Pekanbaru City. Meanwhile, in third trimester pregnant women the risk of anemia is quite high, namely 29%. Anemia events have a negative effect during pregnancy. The research objective was to determine the relationship between knowledge and parity with anemia in third trimester pregnant women. Place This research was conducted at PMB Hj. Murtinawita, SST Pekanbaru. This type of quantitative research, cross-sectional research design. With 51 Samples. Consecutive sampling technique, Nominal and Ordinal measuring scale, univariate and bivariate data processing. Based on bivariate analysis with the Chi-Square test, it shows that there is a relationship between knowledge, parity, husband's support and anemia in PMB Hj. Murtinawita, SST Pekanbaru with p value <α. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge and parity with anemia in PMB Hj. Murtinawita, SST Pekanbaru. It is expected that health workers at the puskesmas can provide counseling about pregnancy to pregnant women regarding the risk of anemia in pregnancy and carry out early detection to prevent anemia.

Abstract

Adolescence requires a balanced nutritional intake for growth and development, one of which is iron. Teenage girls really need iron during menstruation. Iron deficiency can increase the risk of anemia, namely a lack of red blood cells or hemoglobin (Hb), this condition makes people with anemia look pale, tired and weak, and can continue into adulthood and affect conditions during pregnancy. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and the type of food consumed to prevent anemia in adolescents in Pekanbaru. This research is quantitative analytic with a cross-sectional research design. This research was conducted at SMAN 8 Pekanbaru, the sample was taken by purposive sampling. The number of samples as many as 65 respondents. The analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate. The results of the study showed that the majority of young women's knowledge was good as many as 40 people (61.5%), the majority consumed foods containing a lot of heme iron as many as 49 people (75.4%). The results of the univariate analysis of the majority of respondents have good knowledge about anemia as many as 40 people (61.5%) and the majority of young women consume foods that contain a lot of iron as many as 49 people (75.4%). The results of bivariate analysis using chi square obtained P value = 0.01 < 0.05, this means that there is a relationship between knowledge about anemia and the type of food consumed by young women. It is recommended for schools to work together with the Health and often conduct counseling and distribution of free Fe tablets and disseminate information about anemia in school maddings so that all young girls always remember the importance of consuming foods containing iron to avoid anemia
