Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the production factors that influence the production of Robusta coffee and the elasticity of production factors on Robusta coffee production. The research was conducted in Jambu District, Semarang Regency. The survey method was used to select two potential villages, with one farmer group selected for each village as a sample. The data analysis method used was the Cobb-Douglas production function. The results showed that most Robusta coffee farmers were male with an age range of 40-49 years, elementary school education, had been farming for 10-19 years, had 4-6 family members, the average of land area was 0,87 ha, the average of labor was 150,33 HKP/year, the average of manure used was 4.533,33 kg/ha/year, the average of NPK fertilizer used was 391,11 kg/ha/year, and the average number of trees was 1.155,56 sticks with the average of Robusta coffee production was 1.302,71 kg/ha/year. The result of the study showed that simultaneously land area (X1), labor (X2), manure (X3), NPK fertilizer (X4), and number of trees (X5) had a very significant effect on Robusta coffee production and partial manure (X3) and number of trees (X5) had an effect on Robusta coffee production. The elasticity value was 1.142% which was the sum of the elasticity of land area 0,229%, labor 0,016%, manure 0,231%, NPK fertilizer 0,004%, and number of trees 0,662%, which means that Robusta coffee production in Jambu District, Semarang Regency was at the increasing return to scale level.

Abstract

Poultry farming business has several problems such as lack of availability on raw materials, expensive feed prices, and egg production that is not optimal. To overcome the problem of high feed prices and duck productivity, we need to add feed additives such as nanochitosan. Poultry farming business has several problems such as lack of availability on raw materials, expensive feed prices, and egg production that is not optimal. To overcome the problem of high feed prices and duck productivity, we need to add feed additives such as nanochitosan. This study aimed to analyze the effect of nanochithosan feed on the digestive function of the intestine tenue (duodenum) as indicated by histomorphometric changes in the duodenum of Tegal ducks (Anas platyrhyncos). Duodenal histomorphometry related to digestive function was measured, including changes in lumen diameter, villi height, epithelial cell thickness, and muscular layer thickness. This study used a completely randomized design consisting 5 treatments with 5 replications. The research treatments included P0 as control (basic feed without nanochitosan particle additives) and P1, P2, P3, and P4 (basic feed with the addition of nanochitosanwith the doses of 2.5; 5; 7.5; and 10 grams/kg feed respectively). The variables observed were lumen diameter, villi height, epithelial layer thickness, and duodenal muscle layer thickness. The research data were analyzed using the analysis of variance (ANOVA) with a 95% confidence level. The results showed that the addition of nanochitosan particles in the feed had a significant effect on the lumen diameter and thickness of the duodenal muscular layer (P0.05). Tegal ducks. The conclusion of this study is that nanochitosan feed additives with a concentration of 2.5-10% can improve digestive function and improve duodenal histomorphometry in the intestine tenue of Tegal ducks as indicated by an increase in lumen diameter, villi height, and the thickness of epithelial cell thickening, and muscular layer. The novelty from this study is the production and the used of nanochitosan as feed additive to repair histomorphometry of duodenum in intestine tenue of Tegal ducks. From this research, people gets benefit by knowing the use nanochitosan as feed additive to improve digestion performance and productivity of Tegal ducks.

Abstract

Telur ayam ras merupakan hasil dari peternakan ayam dan menjadi kebutuhan yang penting bagi masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi permintaan telur ayam ras pada rumah tangga dan untuk menganalisis elastisitas permintaan telur ayam ras pada rumah tangga di Kota Semarang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Februari hingga bulan Maret 2022. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan secara purposive. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei dan pemilihan sampel ditentukan dengan metode quota sampling dengan memilih sebanyak 120 responden dari 5 pasar tradisional di Kota Semarang. Pengambilan responden menggunakan metode accidental. Analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil analisis regresi linier berganda menunjukan bahwa variabel – variabel bebas secara serempak berpengaruh nyata terhadap variabel terikat. Secara parsial harga telur ayam ras, pendapatan konsumen, dan jumlah anggota keluarga berpengaruh terhadap permintaan telur ayam ras. Sedangkan harga barang lain (tempe/tahu), dan selera konsumen tidak berpengaruh terhadap permintaan telur ayam ras. Elastisitas harga telur ayam ras bersifat elastis (-1,225). Tempe merupakan barang pengganti telur ayam ras dengan elastisitas (0,675) dan Tahu merupakan barang komplementer telur ayam ras dengan elastisiras (-0,276). Elastisitas pendapatan (0,482) menunjukkan bahwa telur ayam ras merupakan barang normal.

Abstract

This research aims to ascertain the 7P marketing mix achievement rate of respondents and examine how the 7P marketing mix influences consumers' decisions to buy hydroponic lettuce products of CV. TFP. The research was conducted in August 2022, located at Jl. Tejosari Raya No. 1 Gedawang, Kec. Banyumanik, Semarang, Central Java. The location was selected purposefully based on the consideration of the CV. TFP is a hydroponic plant cultivation and marketing business with its superior products of hydroponic fruits and vegetables. The survey method was the research method that was used. The process of selecting the respondents involved using an accidental sampling technique of as many as 100 samples who were consumers purchasing CV. TFP hydroponic lettuce products directly at CV. TFP. Primary data was collected through consumer-distributed questionnaires used in interviews. Secondary data were obtained from BPS and other relevant sources. Multiple linear regression statistical tests and descriptive analysis are used for data analysis. In a multiple linear regression analysis, price, location, product, promotion, physical evidence, people, and process are independent factors (X), and the purchase decision is dependent (Y). The findings demonstrated that the Respondent Achievement Rate (TCR) value for the seven marketing mix factors (7P) is in the excellent range. The factors influencing purchasing decisions are people / human resources, process, product, price, place, and physical proof. Promotion is the only variable that has no effect. With a Standardized Coefficients Beta value of 0,241, the place variable is the most prominent 7P marketing mix variable.
