This paper discusses the process of restoring the original condition (recondition) of DoAll LT 13 Bu01 by focusing on electrical system improvements, geometric precision and machine performance. Direct observation methods are applied to solve problems that include cause and effect relationships using 5 (five) why analyzes. The reconditioning stage starts from the initial data collection of damage obtained by visual inspection, function testing and geometric testing on the machine; then proceed with analyzing the damage; and corrective actions based on the results of the analysis. Functional testing methods, geometric deviation tests, machine performance tests are performed to see the achievement of recondition goals. Based on the results of the tests performed, the function of the electrical system returned to normal, the average value of geometric deviation still satisfied based on ISO-1708 standard and machine performance for spindle rotation value with 5% deviation, the value of the roundness and taper work-piece results of 0 and 0.004mm / 255mm, respectively and spindle vibration in the range of 0.33 - 0.66 mm / s RMS for speed 50 - 2500 RPM is still considered normal based on ISO 10816 standards.

Crane is identical to the pendulum in term of its control mechanism. Based on modelling, these two devices are very similar and therefore, the pendulum can be used as a prototype for controlling a crane. This research aims to control the balance or to reduce the swing on the pendulum by utilizing the moment of gyroscope with a mass pendulum up to 1.5 kg. Gyroscope was designed and made in the form of a disc, in which dimensions and materials used were determined according to the desired moment force. The PID controller was used to control the speed of gyroscope based on the angle of the pendulum (?). Based on the results of the experiment, it was obtained that the resulting settling time was 2.29 times faster than without control in average. The overshoot and rise time resulted by the system using gyroscope were very similar to the system which is without gyroscope. However, the steady state error was totally eliminated. It can be concluded that the moment of gyroscope is able to be used for controlling the pendulum or crane.

The development of industrial in the utilization of composites as a substitute of metal materials that are used is fiberglass. However, fiberglass is considered not environmentally friendly because difficult to decipher. The technology advances, it is now widely used from composite materials with natural fibers.This research was conducted to obtain data about mechanical ability in the tensile strength, impact strength and physical form of Gaharu skin fibers using polyester matrix BQTN 157 with volume fraction variations made by hand lay-up method. This research is expected to be useful in automotive, manufacturing industry and household appliances are environmentally friendly. The maximum value of tensile strength is 34.574 MPa in 45% fiber volume fraction. However, there is a decrease in the tensile strength value in the 50% fiber volume fraction, which is 22,635 MPa, this is due to the large amount of fiber content so that the matrix spread to the fiber is uneven. The maximum impact strength value is 62.76 kJ / m2 at 50% fiber volume percentage. Based on the results of testing the comparison of the fiber and matrix volume fractions greatly affect the tensile strength and impact. The results show tensile and impact tests have met the plastic standards used car dashboards.

Saat ini belum adanya informasi mengenai kekuatan spesifik komposit serat karbon bermatriks polyester BQTN 157 membuat pentingnya melakukan pengujian material pada bahan komposit serat karbon bermatriks polyester BQTN 157 yang nantinya dapat diterapkan pada industri manufaktur dalam pembuatan produk pada industri tersebut. Adapun dalam pelaksanaanya penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitan jenis eksperimental. Proses pembuatan komposit dibuat dengan metode hand lay up dengan panjang serat 20mm, 25mm dan 30mm dengan variasi serat 30%:70%, 40%:60% dan 50%:50% dengan orientasi serat 0°. Setelah spesimen selesai dibuat akan dilakukan curing time pada suhu 50°C selama 5 jam, 10 jam dan 15 jam. Spesimen uji tarik dibuat mengacu pada standar ASTM D-638 dan pengujian impak mengacu pada ISO-179. Kemudian patahan hasil uji tarik akan dianalisa dengan SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope). Hasil penelitian komposit polyester dengan penguat serat karbon diperoleh kekuatan tarik tertinggi terdapat pada fraksi volume serat 40% dengan panjang serat 33,41mm yaitu sebesar 135 MPa dan kekuatan impak maksimum dimiliki oleh komposit dengan fraksi volume serat 56,82% dan panjang serat 25mm yaitu sebesar 208,25 Mpa. Berdasarkan analisa dan perhitungan data yang diperoleh dari hasil pengujian yang dilakukan maka dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa variasi fraksi volume dan panjang serat karbon dapat mempengaruhi sifat mekanik dari komposit polyester BQTN 157 berpenguat serat karbon. Kekuatan komposit naik seiring bertambahnya fraksi volume maupun panjang serat. Dari analisa SEM kekuatan material komposit dipengaruhi oleh kerapatan antara serat karbon dengan matriks. Ketidakrapatan menyebabkan adanya rongga (void) yang terbentuk antara serat dengan matriks. Semakin kecil rongga yang terbentuk maka menunjukkan semakin baik ikatan yang terjadi antara serat dengan matrik yang dibuktikan dengan kekuatan dari spesimen yang tinggi, begitu pula sebaliknya semakin besar rongga yang terbentuk maka menunjukkan ikatan yang kurang baik antara serat dengan matrik yang dibuktikan dengan kekuatan dari spesimen yang rendah. Hal ini menyebabkan nilai kekuatan disetiap komposit berbeda.

Abstract Komposit merupakan sistem yang tersusun melalui pencampuran dua material atau lebih yang berbeda, dalam bentuk dan komposisi. Antara kedua material atau lebih tidak larut satu sama lainnya. Komposit sangat berpengaruh terhadap sifat mekanik. Faktor yang sangat berpengaruh adalah Fraksi serat, panjang serat serta perendaman yang digunakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat pengaruh panjang serat, Perendaman dan perbandingan fraksi volume terhadap sifat mekanik untuk bahan komposit berpenguat serat kulit gaharu. Penelitian ini menggunakan fraksi panjang serat 20 mm, 40 mm, 60 mm, dengan waktu perendaman 1 jam, 2 jam, 3 jam dengan perbandingan fraksi volume 30%:70%, 40%:60% dan 50%:50% .Bahan yang digunakan serat Kulit Gaharu dengan kadar air 10%-12%. Pembuatan komposit menggunakan metode hand lay up. Pengujian yang dilakukan adalah uji Impact Charpy dengan standar pengujian ISO-179. Hasil penelitian uji impak akan dianalisa dengan perangkat lunak Design Expert 9. Hasil kekuatan impak terkecil dengan hasil 24.94 kj/m2 dengan parameter dengan panjang serat 3 mm, perendaman serat 3 jam dan persentase serat 30/70%. Hasil percobaan terbesar dengan dengan panjang serat 4 mm, perendaman serat 2 jam dan persentase serat 40/60%. Hasil Kekuatan impaknya 77.112 kj/m2.. Hasil percobaan tersebut memberikan pengaruh terhadap kekuatan impak, dimana perendaman dan persentase memberikan pengaruh yang sangat besar. Ini dikarenakan lamanya perendaman akan mempengaruhi serat sehinga mudah putus dan rapuh. persentase serat memberikan pengaruh yang besar pula disebabkan karena jika serat diatas 10% dan dibawah 50 % maka nilai uji impak besar pula. Tetapi jika persentase serat diatas 50 % maka nilai uji impak semakin kecil

Soy milk is obtained by grinding soybeans soaked in water. In producing soy milk, Mitra experienced problems because the equipment in the production process was still manual and very simple. So that the production time becomes long and has an impact on the lack of income due to the limited production equipment. The aim of this community service program is to assist household-scale soy milk producer partners in terms of improving the quantity and quality of soy milk products. The solution that we can do through this program is by providing and introducing a soy milk machine and explaining how to maintain the machine. Results or output targets achieved from community service for partners, namely partners have used soy milk production machines so that the quality and quantity of soy milk can increase. In addition, there is an increase in the number of customers and turnover of partners as well as an increase in understanding and skills of partners.

Cassava chips are one of the typical light food products that are favored by valious levels of society. In the process of making cassava chips, many processes that are passed in the form of slicing cassava into thin, fried, dried/ drained, mixed with seasonings and as well as packaging. From a survey that has been carried out on partners, the drying process of cassava chips after frying is the main problem because the drying process still uses manual which is left to dry on an existing container and the drying process takes approximately 5-10 minutes with the number of chips being dried 2 -3 kg and done draining a lot of time. From this problem, as the proponent of the Educational Institution will make a cassava chip spice spinner machine that can replace human labor, so that capacity and time can be increased. Partners will get appropriate technology in the form of a cassava chip spinner machine and training on the process of using the machine and maintaining the machine. In addition, Partners will always receive maintenance services if the machine provided is disturbed or damaged. To achieve this goal, the Partners and the Service team agreed to propose to increase the quality and production capacity. The development of the production process is carried out by providing cassava chips dryer/spinner machine technology. With this machine, the results achieved with a total of 10 kg dried cassava chips in 10 minutes are met. So in conclusion, with the machine, partners can develop their business because they can meet market demand.

Community service activities( PKM) carried out in collaboration with soy milk business partners in Parit Padang Village, Sungailiat District, Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The production process carried out by partners still uses manual methods with simple equipment so that to make soya milk in the amount of 3 kilogram takes approximately 30- 60 minutes. The purpose of this activity is to assist partners in increasing the productivity of soya milk businesses. Through this (PKM) activity, it is expected to improve the performance of partners in soya milk production. This (PKM) activity is carried out through several stages, namely: survey of partner problems, procurement of soybean grinding machines, and brief training on machine operation and maintenance. This program runs well and smoothly with training and assistance to partners. After this activity, partners get appropriate technology in the form of machines and maintenance services if the machine experiences problems or damages and there is an increase in the quality and quantity of soya milk production with an increase in production capacity of 6 kilogram per hour.

Metal working processes can be generally classified into 2, namely non-cutting (without cutting) and cutting (cutting). In the world of manufacturing industry, the success of a production process is greatly influenced by the production machines used. Lathes are machine tools used to cut rotating objects. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cutting speed, infeed speed, and cutting depth on the material processing rate using CNMG 120404-TF iscar brand lathe and using dromus as coolant. This study uses an experimental method, with variable settings in order to obtain a large material processing rate. The turning process uses a conventional MAWItech D.O.O.B 160 x1000 lathe, and the material used is AISI 1045, and the research data is analyzed using ANAVA in statistical software. The results showed that the effect of cutting speed on the mean material processing rate was -4.32% and the S / N ratio was -2.50%. The depth of cutting has the most significant effect on the rate of material processing.

Cigarette filter waste is one of the wastes that is difficult to recycle and has no selling value, so cigarette filter waste is used as an alternative material for making helmet shells. This study aims to determine how a composite material (ie 16% HGM, 76.5% epoxy, 7.5% cigarette filter waste) is used as a basic material in the manufacture of helmet shells. The testing process carried out is the charpy impact test with different specimen thicknesses (3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm). Based on this study with a thickness of 3 mm, the highest average impact strength compared to other thickness specimens was 0.02868 J/mm2, at 4 mm thickness was 0.01628 J/mm2, at 5 mm thickness was 0.01025 J/mm2 .. In this test, compared with the results of the SNI helmet impact strength test of 0.00972 J/mm2 then all specimens passed the material test for SNI helmets.
