Abstract

The palm companies typically consist of the oil palm plantations and the palm oil mills. Besidesproduced from their own plantations, they also buy the palm oils, CPO, and the kernel (palm kernel) fromthe farmers or other processing plants. The productions of the oil palm plantations of the farmers sold tothe collectors, and the collectors sell the palm oils to a processing plant. According to the collectors, whosell the palm olis to the factory, the price is cheap though the palm oil is in a good quality. They think tocultivate oil palm themselves, but the price of oil palm processing machines cannot be reached by them.This study will make the palm fruit crushing machine capacity of 50 kg/h, which is expected to be used bythe oil palm farmers in order to increase the sales value of the plantation. The method adopted to solvethis problem is starting with the preparation of the list of requirements necessary products, manufactureand concept selection, component design, manufacturing of image detail engineering, manufacture andassembly and test tool functions. The trial results of the palm fruit crushing machine with capacity of 50kg/h can be chopping the palm fruit with a specific gravity of 0.8245kg/liter.

Abstract

The industry manufacture with high quality and able to pruduce the workpicece with high quality In industry manufacture are very necessary. The use of high quality machines should be supported by the ability to operate and the ability to perform maintenance, this ability is useful to maintain the condition of the machine in order to produce good quality workpieces. Politeknik Manufaktur Negeri Bangka Belitung has several high quality machine tools, one type of machine tools usually use is lathe machine doall LT13 with total have six units. this machine Used to support education and to produce spare parts. Doall LT13 lathes have been used for 22 years, during that period there may be deviation of machine geometry, deviations that occur can lead to decreased quality of the resulting workpiece. This study aims to determine the feasibility of the machine by measuring the roundness of the spicemen of the process of turning, the roundness of the specimen is analyzed by using the minimum circle method. From the roundness testing performed on the doall lt 13 the result? that can be achieved as follows 0,082 mm at lathe number 8, 0,073 mm at lathe number 5, 0,057 mm at lathe number 7, 0,051 mm at lathe? number 2, 0,048 mm at lathe number 6 and 0,046 mm at lathe number 3.

Abstract

The ability of machine tools to produce a product of good quality is needed by the industrial industry that exists today. Industrial industries that use machine tools are not only industries that produce products in the form of a tool or machine, machine tools are also widely used by industries or institutions that serve machine repair and providers of skills training. The quality of the machine measured using the geometry of the workpiece resulting from the machining process can be in the form of roundness, cylindrecity, tapers and other geometric shapes. The use of machine tools that continue for several years can result in a decrease in the ability of the machine to produce a product. The use of a long horizontal doall lt13 lathe will produce a form of workpiece cylindricity that is not the same as the condition of the the new machine tools, therefore testing activities are carried out by cutting the machine and seeing what the cylindrical value of the specimen is capable of achieving . From the results of the testing that has been carried out on a horizontal lathe as many as eight units, the values of cylindrical difference are different for each machine. The highest value of cylindricity is produced by lathes with machine number 8 and the smallest cylindrical value produced by lathes with machine number 3. The greatest tolerance is achieved in the quality of IT (international tolerance) 11 tolerance and the lowest is achieved in IT tolerance quality 10.

Abstract

The current electrical dish machine machining (EDM) machine in the field of manufacturing has developed along with conventional machines such as Lathes, Milling Machines, and Grinding Machines as the leading technology. EDM is known for its ability to make complex shapes on very hard metals. EDM machines are widely used in the manufacture of dies, cutting tools, and molds that cannot be done with the cutting process. Therefore the level of electrode wear in the EDM process must be as efficient as possible. The research was conducted to determine the exact EDM process parameter setting values. Variable parameters are current, on time, off time. To optimize the response of this study using the Response Surface Methodology (RSM) method. High electrode wear is obtained in testing with parameters used Ton (300 ?s), Toff (15 ?s) and Current (20 A), and the smallest wear value is obtained in the test with the parameters used Ton (100 ?s), Toff (15 ?s) and Current (10 A).

Abstract

The Bangka Belitung Islands have enormous natural resources, including mining products, forest products, marine products and plantation products. The cultivated plantation can consist of groups or individuals. One of the plantation products managed by the community in Belitung, especially in the Regency of Bangka, is cassava. Various kinds of food are processed using raw cassava, one of which is produced by a home industry in other words Small and Medium Industries (IKM) in the village of Banyu Asin, Bangka Regency. Using a simple production tool made of wood and fitted with a cutting knife to slice cassava and use a tool that was bought from the market made of plastic base material and installed a blade to slice manually. This research was conducted to help make a machine that can simplify and reduce the energy of workers in the process of making cassava chips. The method used to solve this problem is starting with the compilation of a list of required product requirements, making and selecting concepts, designing components, making detailed technical drawings, making and assembling and testing the function of the tools. Testing the function of the tool is done in order to find out whether the tool that has been made can function properly and can do the desired slicing. The results of the trial process of the cassava slicing machine made were able to increase productivity and slice cassava as much as 96 kg per hour with one operator. Previously, to slice 90 kg of cassava takes 3 hours with 2 operators.

Abstract

Peanut cake is one of the typical Indonesian pastries which includes the most popular cakes by Indonesian people including the people of the Province of Bangka Belitung Islands. The process of processing peanut cakes through several stages, namely the processing of peanuts, the printing of bean cake dough. The current method of printing peanut cakes is still manually using one by one as a tool to print the bean cake. The purpose of this study is to design and make a bean cake printing tool that is capable of printing 20 bean cakes in one process. The stages in making this bean cake printing device start from problem identification, planning, designing, tool making, assembling, and testing. Based on the results of the trials that have been carried out, the tool is capable of printing 20 prints in a single process and the dough is not attached to the mold.

Abstract

Cassava chips are one of the most popular snack products in various walks of life. The raw material for cassava chips is made from thinly sliced ??cassava. In the process of making cassava chips, there are many processes that are passed in the form of slicing cassava into thin, then fried, dried, Mixed together with flavoring and packaging. From a survey that has been conducted on partners, the process of mixing cassava chips that have been fried with spices is the main problem because the mixing process is still manual, that is, it uses human power and it takes time for the stirring process to take quite a bit of energy, which is for approximately 10 minutes to stir the spices with the number of chips stirred 2-3 kg and carried out by one person, this drains a lot of energy and time. From this problem, as the proponent of the Educational Institution will make a cassava chip spice mixer machine that can replace human labor, so that capacity and time can be increased. Partners will get appropriate technology in the form of a cassava chip spice mixer machine and training on the process of using the machine and maintaining the machine. In addition, Partners will always receive maintenance services if the machine provided is disturbed or damaged. To achieve this goal, the Partners and the Service team agreed to propose to increase the quality and production capacity. The development of the production process is carried out by providing cassava chips seasoning mixing machine technology with a total of 5 kg of cassava chips stirred in 10 minutes.

Abstract

This study aims to test the right rubber ball for measuring hand muscle strength. This research method was carried out using a quasi-experimental design. The results showed that the value of count (Pearson Product Moment Correlation) > r-table was 0.176. The reliability test results on the three right and left-hand measuring instruments were > 0.6 with a Cronbah's Alpha value of 0.920 > 0.6. In conclusion, testing the validity and reliability of rubber balls on muscle strength measuring devices with sizes of 7 cm, 8 cm, and 9 cm, which was carried out involving 130 respondents, showed valid and statistically reliable results. Abstract

The process of making fried onions is carried out in several stages until they become fried onions that are ready to be consumed, starting from peeling the onion skin, slicing, frying, slicing, and packing. From the results of a survey conducted on service partners, the process of peeling onion skins is still manual, namely peeling it using a knife one by one. It takes approximately 4 hours to peel 15 Kg of raw shallots which is done by 2 employees, and the process takes a lot of time. In order to increase the production of shallots, a shallot peeling machine was developed to speed up the stripping process. Partners will receive appropriate technology in the form of a shallot peeler and training in the process of using the machine and maintaining the machine. In addition, a monitoring and evaluation process is also carried out to measure the level of success and constraints on the machines that have been used by partners. After the development of the shallot peeling machine was developed, the partner's production productivity increased, the machine functioned properly and was able to peel as much as 5 kg of shallot skin in 10 minutes or 30 kg/hour.

Abstract

Minimum surface roughness is the target to be achieved in the workpiece machining process using CNC Turning. Where the smaller the surface roughness value will result in a better (smaller-is-better) surface roughness. This research aimsTo determine the variable combination settings (feeding motion, spindle rotation and infeed depth) to the minimum surface roughness, and to determine the percentage contribution of parameters that affect surface roughness in the CNC Turning process. The research method used the Taguchi method with L9 orthogonal matrix experimental design (33), because there are three process parameters that have three levels. Repetition is done twice. From the research results, the surface roughness value is obtained. In addition, the levels obtained from the spindle rotation process parameters (Rpm), feeding motion (feeding), and the depth of feeding that can minimize surface roughness. The results of this study indicate the right combination setting of parameter variables to produce the minimum surface roughness is a spindle rotation of 1250 put / min, infeed depth of 0.5 mm, feeding motion of 1.0 mm / rev. The percentage contribution of parameters that affects surface roughness is the infeed depth of 24.41%.
