Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengamati dan menganalisis pengaruh penerapan strategi pembelajaran Three Stage Fishbowl Decision terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Masalah yang diteliti adalah apakah terdapat pengaruh penerapan strategi pembelajaran Three Stage Fishbowl Decision terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Glumpang Tiga, sedangkan yang menjadi sampel penelitian diambil dua kelas yaitu kelas X MIA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang berjumlah 22 siswa dan kelas X MIA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 23 siswa secara purposive sampling. Perolehan data dilakukan dalam bentuk tes dan diolah dengan menggunakan uji-t yaitu Independent Sample T-Test pada taraf signifikan ? = 0,05. Dari hasil pengolahan data dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang diajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran Three Stage Fishbowl Desicion dibandingkan dengan siswa yang diajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan model discovery learning berbantuan software maple dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman matematik mahasiswa?. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest-postes group. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa semester II Fakultas Teknik Informatika Universitas Jabal Ghafur dengan sampel kelas B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas D sebagai kelas kontrol yang masing-masing berjumlah 25 mahasiswa. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data penelitian berupa tes kemampuan pemahaman matematis. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah uji-t untuk menganalisis data peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis. Hasil analisis data diperoleh N-Gain kemampuan pemahaman matematis dengan nilai t = 1,046 dan Sig.  (2-tailed) = 0,048 dan Sig.  (1-tailed)= 0,024 sehingga  nilai Sig.  (1-tailed) < taraf Signifikansi  ( alpha =0,05). Hal ini  menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis mahasiswa yang menggunakan model discovery learning berbantuan software maple lebih baik daripada mahasiswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine wether the application of discovery learning models assisted by maple software can improve the students mathematical understanding  abilities? This research is an experimental study consisting class and the control class. Experimental class with the pretest – post test group research design. The population of this research is all of the second semester students 0f The Informatics Engineering Faculty of  The Jabal Ghafur University  with a sample of class B as an experimental class and class D as a control class, each numbering 25 students. The instrument use to collect research data is a mathematical understanding ability test. The statistical test used is the t-test to analyze the data on the improvement of mathemathical understanding abilities. The result of data analysis obtained N-Gain mathematical understanding ability with the value of  t=1,046 and sig. (2-tailed)=0,048 and sig.(1-tailed)=0,024 so The Value of sig. ( 1-tailed) < significance level (alpha = 0,05). This shows that the improvement of students mathematical understanding abilities using the discovery learning model assisted by maple software is better than students who obtain conventional.

Abstract

Increasing students' mathematical representation skills is one of the factors in achieving the goals of mathematics education. Applying the Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition (AIR) learning model is a learning process in which the goals and desires of individuals or students are built and achieved openly on the material of a two-variable linear equation system (SPLDV). The AIR learning model is a learning model in which it has three main phases, namely auditory (listening), intellectually (understanding), repetition (repetition). The formulation of the problem in this study is whether there is a difference in the average application of the Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition (AIR) learning model on students' mathematical representation abilities with the application of conventional learning models. The population in this study is class X semester 1 of SMA Negeri 2 Sigli in 2021/2022. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. This study used two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. Learning in class X MIPA-2 as many as 20 students as an experimental class was carried out using the AIR learning model, while learning in class X Language-1 as many as 16 students as a control class was carried out using conventional learning models. The research instrument is in the form of questions given in the form of pretest and posttest consisting of five essay questions. Based on the results of data processing with the help of statistical software, the results of the normality test on the pre-test with sig. 0.20 0.05 and post-test with sig. 0.20 0.05. By using the t-test, namely the Independent Sample T-test in the post-test with a significance level of 5%, the significance value of 0.028 0.05 is obtained, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the application of the Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition (AIR) learning model to students' mathematical representation abilities between the experimental class and the control class. Thus, the AIR learning model can be used as an alternative model in mathematics learning to improve students' mathematical representation skills.Keywords : Application of Model, (AIR) Auditory, Intellectually, Repetition, Students' Mathematical Representation Ability

Abstract

Mathematics is one of the subjects taught in elementary schools in the 2013 curriculum as well as in the Freedom to Learn curriculum which is summarized in Thematic. Mathematics is an abstract object that makes mathematics difficult for some elementary school students to understand. the use of teaching aids as a medium for learning mathematics is expected to help improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts. Therefore, it is very appropriate that lecturers from several universities in Aceh feel compelled to accompany these teachers in seminars on the Utilization of Mathematical Learning Media. This activity aims to increase the capacity of teachers in using mathematics learning media, especially visual aids. The method used is the seminar lecture method. The results of this activity indicate that there is an increase in the knowledge and skills of SD Negeri Pertiwi, and Lambarot teachers in compiling the use of mathematics learning media. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine whether using the IMPROVE learning approach can improve students' ability to think critically mathematically. This experimental research used a pretest-posttest control group design. This research involved all students in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Peukan Baro. Two classes, class XI MIPA 1 and class XI MIPA 2, were selected as experimental and control samples. This study uses questions to test students' mathematical critical thinking skills. After the prerequisites for testing were met, the data were analyzed using an independent t-test at a significant level of 0.05. According to the results of data analysis, the value of tcount = 3.839, and the value of Sig. 2-tailed = 0.00043, and the Sig. 1-tailed = 0.000215, because the Sig. 1-tailed = 0.000215 < α = 0.05, which indicates that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted

Abstract

This study aims to improve problem-solving skills in the application of the Quizizz application. The model used in this study is Problem Based Learning (PBL), a student-centered learning model where students must be able to solve mathematical problems. The Quizizz application helps students in solving mathematical problems, and helps teachers design online quizzes, discussions, or surveys. This research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental method. The research design used in this study is Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design. The sample of this study consisted of 60 students selected by purposive sampling. Data collection instruments in this study were carried out with a final test and data processing using an independent sample t-test. The results of data analysis showed that the average value of the experimental class was higher, namely 80.13 and the control class 70.04. The results of hypothesis testing obtained that mathematics learning with the Problem Based Learning model using the Quizizz Application can improve mathematical problem-solving skills in students of SMPN 1 Simpang Tiga

Abstract

Understanding the concept of functions is a fundamental aspect of mathematics education, which often poses challenges for students due to its abstract nature. The utilization of software-based learning technology, such as the interactive and user-friendly Desmos application, can support the learning process with rich graphical visualizations, thereby enhancing student engagement and understanding. This article examines the implementation of the Desmos application in function learning at the high school level, focusing on improving students' conceptual understanding. Through quantitative and qualitative research involving 60 eleventh-grade students, it was found that the use of Desmos significantly improved learning outcomes, motivation, and student learning activities. These findings imply the need for integrating visualization technology into mathematics education to effectively support the learning of abstract concepts.
