Abstract

This study aims to identify teacher difficulties in the online learning process on 8 indicators, namely internet quota indicators, limited mastery of information technology, facilities and infrastructure, unstable networks, learning applications, learning management, learning assessment, and task execution. Online learning is an educational innovation that involves elements of information technology in learning. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive method. Respondents in this study were 12 mathematics teachers at SMA Banda Aceh. Data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and analyzed using qualitative descriptive data techniques. The results showed that there were 16 indicators that became difficulties for mathematics teachers in the online learning process, namely, using various learning media (41.7%), many other economic needs that must be met (41.7%), not accustomed to using online learning applications. (75%), do not understand about online learning (50%), online learning facilities used by students are owned by their parents (50%), some students complain that they cannot send assignments because they are constrained by the internet network (50%), there is no internet signal ( 75%), bad weather conditions cause internet network to be disrupted (58.3%), difficult to see the achievement of basic competencies mastered by students (50%), difficulty in attitude assessment (50%), difficulty monitoring student learning progress (50%) , lack of student understanding of learning materials (58.3%), learning tends to be more task-oriented (58.3%), students' lack of interest in online learning (91.7%), the difficulty of economic needs students so that they have to work (75%), and students are bored and bored studying online (50%). This shows that there are still things that are difficult for math teachers in online learning during covid-19.Keywords : Online Learning, Difficulty, Mathematics

Abstract

Mathematical representation ability is an important ability in understanding mathematical concepts as an effort to obtain clarity of meaning and understanding in solving problems. Technology-based learning media can simplify the learning process thereby helping students in representing mathematical problems. This research aims to determine the increase in students' mathematical representation abilities using Geogebra software. This research is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental type. The population is students of class XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 1 Lhoong Aceh Besar for the 2023/2024 academic year consisting of 2 classes totaling 60 people. There are 30 people in Class XI MIPA 1 as an experimental class with the Geogebra software learning media, and 30 people in XI MIPA 2 as a control class without the Geogebra program learning media. The data collection technique in this research is using Pretest and Posttest. Meanwhile, the data analysis techniques used in this research are descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the research showed that there was an increase in students' mathematical representation abilities who were taught using Geogebra software media in class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 1 Lhoong. Most students answered the questions according to indicators of mathematical representation ability in the form of visual, symbolic and verbal representations.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Means Ends Analysis (MEA) learning model assisted by bagatrix software on the mathematical problem solving abilities of class XI students. The type of research used is quantitative with a one shot case study research design. The population of this study were all students of class XI at SMA Negeri 1 Baitussalam for the 2022/2023 academic year. The sample selection used purposive sampling and XI MIA 1 class was selected as the sample because it met the necessary criteria. Data collection techniques were carried out using tests to determine students' mathematical problem solving abilities and student response questionnaires to determine student responses to the application of the MEA learning model assisted by bagatrix software. The results showed that the mathematical problem solving abilities of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Baitussalam were already very good at 26% or equal to 6 people, good 65% or the equivalent of 15 people, and in the sufficient category as much as 9% or the equivalent of 2 people. The results show that there is an influence of the MEA learning model assisted by bagatrix software on students' problem solving abilities

Abstract

The background of the implementation of this Community Service activity is the lack of understanding of students about the learning processes or lectures in universities. Most new students experience confusion with the lecture process at college. The Mathematics Education Lecturer Team at Abulyatama University FKIP saw this as a confused adaptation of new students in starting the lecture process in higher education. As a result, many new students lack confidence and lack the courage to express their creativity, abilities and even talents in the lecture process. The Lecturer and Student Team collaborated to introduce the lecture process in higher education to high school students in Aceh Besar by conducting campus surgery activities. The purpose of this activity is to introduce the learning process or lectures in higher education to class XII high school students in Aceh Besar. This activity is structured in the introduction of the campus, socialization of the path to higher education, the lecture process, as well as the delivery of the vision and mission of the Mathematics Education study program, FKIP Abulyatama University.Keywords: Campus Surgery, College, High School Students

Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning outcomes and interests of students with the use of PhET Simulation media through a multiple- representation approach to motion concept. The research method used is a quasi-experiment with a one group pretest and posttest design. The research subjects were taken using a random sampling technique involving 45 grade XI students at SMA Negeri 6 Banda Aceh. The research data was obtained from learning outcomes and student interest questionnaires. Data analysis using a gain test. Based on the results of the study, student learning outcomes were obtained with an average value of multiple representation in verbal, mathematical, graphic formats, and experienced a significant increase. While the overall student interest in learning is in the good category. This study can make students happy, interested, and have attention and direct involvement in the learning process so that it can be suggested to teachers or related parties to consider the use of PhET Simulation through a multi-representation approach in the physics teaching and learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to improve problem-solving skills in the application of the Quizizz application. The model used in this study is Problem Based Learning (PBL), a student-centered learning model where students must be able to solve mathematical problems. The Quizizz application helps students in solving mathematical problems, and helps teachers design online quizzes, discussions, or surveys. This research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental method. The research design used in this study is Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design. The sample of this study consisted of 60 students selected by purposive sampling. Data collection instruments in this study were carried out with a final test and data processing using an independent sample t-test. The results of data analysis showed that the average value of the experimental class was higher, namely 80.13 and the control class 70.04. The results of hypothesis testing obtained that mathematics learning with the Problem Based Learning model using the Quizizz Application can improve mathematical problem-solving skills in students of SMPN 1 Simpang Tiga

Abstract

This study describes the problems delegating authority from the district government to the village government. The implementation of Law Number 6 in 2014 concerning villages still has shortcomings in its implementation. It is due to a lack of understanding and socialization among stakeholders who run the government in the village. This study used a qualitative approach where respondents were stakeholders in the Gampong Lamteh village, Banda Aceh. The population of this study was the village apparatus and public figures of the Lamteh Village. Thus, the total sample of this study was ten people. Data collection used observation techniques, interviews, and document analysis. The analysis of data employed the triangulation method. The study results indicated that the implementation of Law Number 6 in 2014 concerning villages are not optimal yet, where the authorities still provide a lack of socialization. There is a need for socialization to improve the stakeholders' understanding regarding authority and its restriction when performing the administration in the village.

Abstract

Secara geografis dunia, wilayah Aceh Besar terletak pada lempeng tektonik Euro-Asia dan Australia-India. Daerah pada pusaran lingkaran cincin gunung berapi (ring of fire). Kondisi geografis tersebut menyebabkan sering erupsinya gunung berapi. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini dilakukan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa merupakan salah satu visi misi pendidikan fisika di Universitas Abulyatama. Kegiatan ini dilakukan pada tanggal 30 Desember 2024 terhadap 25 anak-anak yang ada di Gampong Ie Seuum. Tujuannya untuk memberikan pemahaman terhadap anak-anak di Gampong Ie Seuum tentang mitigasi bencana meletusnya gunung berapi yang tinggal di kawasan lereng gunung Seulawah Agam yang terdapat di Kab. Aceh Besar. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode sosialisasi dan demontrasi dengan menampilkan vidio tentang bagaimana proses terjadinya letusan gunung berapi. sehingga masyarakat sudah memiliki bekal pengetahuan. Hasil dari pengabdian ini yaitu (1) Peserta sosialisasi memahami langkah-langkah mitigasi bencana gunung berapi. Peserta memperoleh pengetahuan tambahan mengenai proses terjadinya letusan gunung berapi, (2) Anak-anak di Gampong Ie Seuum menunjukkan semangat belajar yang lebih tinggi ketika menggunakan media pembelajaran. (3) Pemerintah desa mengapresiasi terkait kegiatan pengabdian ini dan berharap agar terus dilaksanakan secara berkesinambungan, (4) Masyarakat semakin sadar akan pentingnya kesiapsiagaan dalam menghadapi potensi bencana alam, dan menunjukkan antusiasme yang tinggi terhadap materi yang disampaikan, sehingga sosialisasi berlangsung dengan baik, dan (5) Program pengabdian ini memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap pentingnya pengetahuan gunung berapi, erupsi, kandungannya, dan mitigasi bencana secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This research aims to describe students' numeracy literacy skills in class X mathematics learning at SMAN 1 Kuta Baro. The type of research used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The subjects in this research were class X students of SMAN 1 Kuta Baro. The subject selection was based on the test results given to 39 students. From the test results, 6 students were selected as subjects with 2 students in the high category, 2 students in the medium category, and 2 students in the low category. Data collection techniques used numeracy literacy tests and interview results. The data analysis technique used is to give a score to each subject's answer. The score is determined according to the numeracy literacy indicators, namely: 1) Able to use various kinds of numbers or symbols related to basic mathematics in solving daily life problems; 2) Able to analyze information displayed in various forms (graphs, tables, charts, diagrams, etc.); 3) Able to interpret analysis results to predict and make decisions. The results of this research show that 7.40% of students are in the high category, 44% are in the medium category, and 48% are in the low category, so it can be concluded that in general students' ability to solve numeracy literacy questions is still low
