Abstract

Latar belakang: Keberhasilan pembangunan kesehatan khususnya kesehatan gigi adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan, kesadaran, dan perilaku di bidang kesehatan. Perilaku merupakan hasil interaksi dari faktor eksternal berupa stimulus dan faktor internal berupa respon. Tujuan penelitian: untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengetahuan, motivasi, peran guru dengan perilaku kesehatan gigi pada murid kelas VI  Desa Baumata Kecamatan Taebenu. Metode: merupakan penelitian observasional dengan rancangan cross-sectional. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 112 anak dengan kriteria meliputi berjenis kelamin laki-laki dan perempuan, bersedia menjadi responden dengan mengisi informed consent.  Variabel Motivasi dan perilaku diukur dengan kuesioner yang menggunakan skala Likert; variabel pengetahuan dan peran guru diukur menggunakan kuesioner dengan mengisi pilihan ya dan tidak. Hasil penelitian: Hasil analisis korelasi menunjukkan bahwa variabel pengetahuan (p=0,000), motivasi (p=0,014) dan peran guru (p=0,000)  berpengaruh secara signifikan dengan perilaku. Hasil analisis regresi berganda menunjukkan bahwa variabel motivasi (p=0,670) tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap perilaku. Variabel pengetahuan (p=0.000) dan peran guru (p=0.000) berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap perilaku.  Kesimpulan: Ada pengaruh pengetahuan dan peran guru dengan perilaku kesehatan gigi pada murid kelas VI SD Desa Baumata Kecamatan Taebenu sedangkan motivasi tidak ada pengaruh dengan perilaku kesehatan gigi pada murid kelas VI SD Desa Baumata Kecamatan Taebenu

Abstract

Background: Dental and oral health is an integral part of overall health that can affect a person's quality of life so that it becomes a very important concern in Indonesia's health development, especially in elementary school-aged children. One way to increase children's knowledge is through online counseling using puzzles and posters. Research objective: to determine the effect of online counseling using puzzle media and posters on dental caries knowledge in students of Naikoten State Elementary School, Kupang City. The research design used a Quasi Experiment with a nonequivalent control group research design. Sampling was saturated sampling. The research instrument used a questionnaire and the analysis used SPSS with the Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney tests. The results of the study: there is an influence between the level of knowledge of students who are given counseling using puzzle media is greater than poster media. This is evidenced by the results of the Mann-Whitney test, which obtained a p-value of 0.001 <0.05. From the results of the above study it was concluded that there was an effect before and after online counseling using pulzze media and posters.

Abstract

Background: Increasing knowledge can be done through dental health education efforts, namely counseling to provide information to the community. Efforts to increase knowledge can be given a stimulus through educational games to sharpen children's brains and make children creative because the world of children is a world of play. To support playing and learning activities, media is needed that can be interesting according to the characteristics of children's development. The aim of the study was to determine the effectiveness of counseling using puzzle game media and snakes and ladders on dental caries knowledge in elementary school students in Taebenu District. The research design uses a quasi-experimental research design with a non-equivalent control group design. Sampling was by purposive sampling, the instrument in the study used a questionnaire and the analysis used SPSS with the Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney tests. The results of the study: there is a significant difference in the number of scores between the puzzle media game and the snakes and ladders media game. This is evidenced by the results of the Mann-Whitney test, which obtained a p-value of 0.000 <0.05. From the results of the study it was concluded that there was an increase in the level of knowledge of children who were given games using snakes and ladders media more effectively than children who were given games using puzzle media.
