Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of development of learning media in the student learning process. Learning media that is already running is monotonous and tends to be boring. The purpose of this research is to develop learning media in the form of virtual reality technology. The benefits of this research are that it is hoped that students will gain real experience with the Manajemen Arsip Inaktif Course which is a Practical Course. The method used in this research is Research and Development, with stages from potentials and problems to producing the final product. The results of this study are learning media in the form of virtual reality. Applications generated using the Game Engine Unity can be run on a device in the form of an Android-based smartphone and can be integrated with a VR Headset. At the evaluation stage, it was found that the parameter evaluation results were obtained from material experts (90.69%), learning design experts (84.74%), and media experts (94.64%). From the results of the study, it was concluded that virtual reality-based learning media has very good feasibility to be applied to Manajemen Arsip Inaktif course at Universitas Terbuka.

Abstract

This research examines the meaning of worship in five religions (Islam, Christianity, Catholicism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Confucianism) in Indonesia referring to phenomenological research. The research method used in this research is a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The data collection techniques used in this research were observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. This study's informants used as research subjects were religious figures and followers of Islam, Catholic Christians, Protestant Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, and Confucians. This research found several ideas for worship during the COVID-19 pandemic. First, those who think there is no difference in the implementation of worship before and during the pandemic. Second, those who worship at home during the pandemic follow government regulations. Based on the opinions of informants who have explained many things regarding the implementation of worship during the pandemic, it can be concluded that several meanings of worship are worshiping with a sincere heart, purity of orientation, presenting God in the heart, praising God, listening to God's word, and being transcendental. Twenty-three informants may continue to pray at places of worship during the pandemic, and fifteen informants pray at home, according to policies issued by the government.

Abstract

This research is based on the assumption that films do not only show mere entertainment. They have space for various ideological representations. The aim of this research is to reveal how “the symbol of eternity” has been constructed through “Blood Diamond”, a Hollywood film. The research uses qualitative method with semiotic approach. The result shows that there are some “symbols of eternity” contructed in that film, which is Bling Blang versus Bling Bling, This Is Africa (TIA), and Black and White. Bling Blang versus Bling Bling shows that diamond is one of the symbols of eternity which has different meanings for two different countries. In Africa, it is marked by bloodshed. While in America, it is identical with luxury and pride. Meanwhile, TIA is a symbol of eternal significance showing that Africa is often constructed as a rich black continent, but known as areas of conflict, civil war and chaos. Lastly, Black and White in this movie are contructed as two groups that have different social classes.

Abstract

This research based on the assumption that drug abusers are capable and aware ones to interpret spiritual therapy symbol for their healing. The interpretation is important for meaning construction process in communication. This aim research is finding out spiritual therapy process for drug abuser in Pondok Inabah II and identity change in therapy process as part of the therapeutic communication process for healing from drug addiction. The research design was qualitative method with phenomenology tradition. The subject were eight drug abuser were being therapy. The subject selected purposively by particular criteria and their readiness. The data such as statements and communication behaviors found by in depth interview, then analyzed descriptive-qualitatively. The result show that identity change of drug abuser from identity of drug abuser to “anak bina” in Pondok Inabah II and identity of “Ikhwan TQN”. The identity change take place three level; transition phase, initiation phase, and intensification phase. Researcher found the consciousness of drug abuser that is medical and spiritual consciousness. The identity change also shows consciousness change

Abstract

Desa Sukamakmur yang terletak di Kecamatan Ciomas, Kabupaten Bogor, terkenal sebagai daerah penghasil kerajinan sepatu rumahan. Namun, belum banyak perajin yang menerapkan pemasaran digital untuk menjangkau pasar yang lebih luas. Keterbatasan kemampuan perajin dalam pemanfaatan teknologi digital masih menjadi kendala. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan peningkatan kapasitas perajin untuk mengoptimalkan pemasaran digital melalui pemanfaatan platform e-commerce dengan menggunakan teknologi sederhana dan mudah digunakan. Program Studi Ilmu Komunikasi dan Program Studi Administrasi Bisnis Fakultas Hukum, Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Terbuka (FHISIP-UT) berkolaborasi menyelenggarakan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kompetensi perajin dalam menerapkan strategi pemasaran digital. Upaya tersebut dilakukan sebagai langkah konkret untuk mendukung program pemerintah dalam menguatkan perekonomian melalui penguatan Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM). Tujuan pelaksanaan PkM adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan para perajin tentang dampak penggunaan e-commerce, meningkatkan keterampilan perajin dalam membuat dan mengelola akun e-commerce, membuat konten, serta melakukan promosi secara live pada e-commerce. Metode PkM meliputi pelatihan dan pendampingan yang dirancang secara aplikatif dengan fokus pada pengembangan kemampuan produksi konten media sosial serta optimalisasi penggunaan e-commerce. Hasil PkM menunjukkan bahwa para perajin semakin terampil dalam membuat konten dan promosi, serta mampu mengelola akun toko e-commerce.  Kata kunci: Pemasaran Digital, Konten E-commerce, UMKM, Perajin Sandal dan Sepatu Desa Sukamakmur

Abstract

The success of a university in facing future challenges is highly dependent on the form of management applied. Effective management will be able to bring an organization to shine in this era of globalization. Conversely, ineffective management will make an organization helpless in facing global competition. The transformation of the organization from a State University (PTN) to a State University with Legal Entity (PTN BH) is an initial solution in responding to global trends and to carry out the function of quality higher education that is relevant to the needs of the nation and the development of universal science. This study aims to analyze employee readiness in facing organizational change, especially in the context of the transformation from a Public Service Agency University (PTN-BLU) to a State University with Legal Entity (PTN-BH) at Universitas Terbuka. This study uses a quantitative research method with SEM analysis to examine the relationship between organizational commitment, compensation, and job promotion on employee readiness to face change. The research sample consisted of 400 employees of Universitas Terbuka, who were randomly selected to represent the population. The results of the study indicate that organizational commitment, compensation, and job promotion have a positive and significant influence on employee readiness to face organizational change. These findings contribute to the development of human resource management theory and practice, particularly in the context of organizational change in higher education
