Abstract

We discuss a relaxation of Newton method, obtained by introducing a functioncomposed of the original function in an existing problem and its derivative. This methods consists of two parameters. Certain values of the parameters give several known iterative methods. Using Taylor expansion, we show that the method is of order two. We compare the relaxation of Newton method with other known existing methods using some test functions by looking at the number of the methods obtaining the roots of the problem and using Basins of Attraction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkonstruksi formula matematika untuk mengaproksimasi solusi dari persamaan diferensial. Persamaan diferensial yang di aproksimasi solusinya adalah persamaan diferensial yang memiliki orde fraksional yang disebut sebagai persamaan diferensial fraksional. Persamaan diferensial fraksional ini dianalisis secara kualitatif eksistensi dan keunikan dari solusinya kemudian dikonstruksi formula menggunakan metode Euler yang dapat menghampiri solusi eksaknya yang mana solusi dari formula yang dikonstruksi ini umumnya disebut solusi numerik. Kemudian analisis kestabilan dan estimasi galat dipresentasikan untuk merepresentasikan kualitas dari metode aproksimasi ini. Pada sesi terakhir, diaplikasikan metode ini untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan dunia nyata yang dalam penyelesaiannya dibutuhkan persamaan diferensial. Pendekatan metode ini mampu menyediakan solusi secara fleksibel untuk memilih order fraksional mana yang memiliki galat paling kecil agar mampu menghampiri secara kuantitas solusi eksak dengan baik

Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata (Kukerta) is one of the activities that must be carried out to apply the knowledge gained during lectures as well as a concrete form of community service. Kelurahan Laksamana is one of the Kelurahan in Kecamatan Dumai Kota, Dumai City. Kelurahan Laksamana which is the target Kelurahan in the 2023 Riau University kukerta activities. To help Laksamana develop more and create quality Human Resources, Riau University kukerta students try to help by holding literacy-themed activity programs and other work programs with socialization, training and teaching methods . In carrying out the service, the village and Laksamana community are very supportive and actively participate in all activities held by Kukerta students so that the objectives of the program are achieved.

Abstract

Community Service Program (CSP) is an activity that must be carried out by all students at the University of Riau as a form of dedication and implementation of the knowledge gained during lectures to the community. Students will determine the work programs to be carried out during the KKN activities, one of which is the Socialization of Dishwashing Soap Making. Soap is a product of the chemical industry that is needed by the people of Indonesia. Soap has many variants and can be obtained easily in the market, such as bath soap, washing soap for clothes and household utensils, to soap used in industry. The counseling program for making dishwashing soap was held in Rimba Sekampung Village, Dumai Kota District, Dumai City, Riau Province which was carried out using demonstration methods and direct practice with the community, especially PKK women. The purpose of holding this socialization is to provide MSME business ideas to the community and can also save monthly expenses from PKK mothers. The results of this activity were understanding and inspiration on how to make dish soap and providing business ideas with enormous opportunities, considering that in the Rimba Sekampung area there are many businesses or UMKM engaged in the food sector.

Abstract

Cultural integration in mathematics learning is one of the learning approaches that must be possessed by elementary school teachers in Indonesia. However, many teachers still have difficulty in integrating it. Therefore, it is necessary to design community service activities that can support elementary school teachers' knowledge of ethno-didactic of mathematics. The initial step taken was to measure teachers’ knowledge of ethno-didactic of mathematics by providing a survey to 16 teachers from SDN 003 Kandis. The teachers were given 5 statements related to their understanding of ethno-didactics of mathematics on a scale of 1 (poor) to 10 (excellent). The results of this initial survey indicate that teachers’ knowledge of ethno-didactic of mathematics is still in the low category, so it is necessary to conduct a workshop to strengthen the competence of elementary school teachers’ knowledge of ethno-didactics of mathematics and be able to use it in designing mathematics learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Kurikulum Merdeka memberikan kebebasan kepada guru untuk merancang dan mengembangkan pembelajaran di kelas masing-masing termasuk pembelajaran matematika. Pengintegrasian budaya, khususnya budaya Melayu, dalam pembelajaran matematika merupakan salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang dapat menjadi pilihan bagi guru-guru khususnya di sekolah dasar. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mendukung guru-guru meningkatkan pengetahuan mereka tentang etno-didaktik matematika dan dapat mengembangkan pembelajaran berbasis etno-didaktik matematika. Kegiatan Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan partisipan yaitu 16 orang guru SDN 03 Kandis. Kegiatan workshop ini mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan guru tentang etno-didaktik matematika dan juga kemampuan merancang pembelajaran berbasis etno-didaktik matematika Melayu. Namun, perlu tindak lanjut dari kegiatan ini sehingga pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang telah dimiliki guru dapat diterapkan di pembelajaran matematika di kelas masing-masing.

Abstract

A new free derivative iterative method is presented in this article. The method is developed by combining Newton’s method and Euler’s method. Deriva- tives in this method are approximated by forward difference, hyperbola and divided difference. The order of convergence is proven analytically to be of sixth order. Numerical results exhibit that the new method is comparable to other methods. Basins of attraction are also provided to support the proposed method.

Abstract

A non-empty set G with a binary operation ∗ and a constant 0 that satisfies the following axioms: , , and  for all  is called a BG-algebra. A non-empty subset I of G is said to be an ideal in G if it satisfies: (i)  and (ii)  and  implies  for all . This article introduces the new concept of r-ideal in BG-algebra, which is an extension of the ideal in BN-algebra. Unlike the definition of an ideal in BN-algebra, an r-ideal only requires a non-empty subset I of G without the need to satisfy the full ideal conditions. This study examines the properties of r-ideals and their relationships with subalgebras, normal, and ideals in BG-algebra. In the final part, it is concluded that every subalgebra is an r-ideal in BG-algebra, and every normal ideal is also an r-ideal.
