Abstract

This study aims to study: the differences between students who take part in spending with a project-based learning model and students who follow learning with conventional models of student learning motivation. This study was a quasi-experimental study with nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study were fifth grade students of Public Elementary School 167 Pekanbaru in 2018/2019. Data collection using tests to determine critical thinking skills and questionnaires to learn learning motivation. Data analysis using t-test and Manova with a significance level of 5%. The results of this study indicate that there are differences between students who take part in spending with a project-based learning model with students who take learning with the conventional model on student learning motivation with the results of data calculations also understand Thitung at 17.412 and P = 0.00.

Abstract

In the current digital era, the need for digital learning resources in education is very important and urgent to develop. It includes developing digital disaster learning resources for prospective elementary school teachers. This article will discuss SWOT analysis (Strengths [S], Weaknesses [W], Opportunities [O], Threats [T]) as an instrument for conducting a needs analysis to develop digital disaster learning resources for prospective elementary school teachers. This research uses a literature study method, with research implementation stages consisting of (a) collecting reference sources, (b) verifying literature sources, and (c) conceptualization. From the research stages that have been carried out, the needs analysis instrument for developing digital disaster learning resources for prospective elementary school teachers can be classified into four forms, namely strength analysis (S) consisting of five question items, weakness analysis (W) consisting of three question items, opportunity analysis (O) consists of two question items, and threat analysis (T) consists of two question items. Based on this, it is necessary to carry out a SWOT analysis to prepare an analysis instrument for developing digital disaster learning resources for prospective elementary school teachers. The recommendation from the results of this study is that the needs analysis instrument using SWOT analysis can be adapted for use in needs analysis instruments for developing media and other learning resources.

Abstract

Perilaku terkait konsumsi pangan rumah tangga khususnya pangan hewani sangat erat hubungannya dengan sosial ekonomi masyarakat. Tujuan daripada penelitian adalah memberikan rekomendasi kepada pemerintah terkait kebijakan dalam menentukan pemilihan komoditas pangan hewani yang akan dikembangkan guna memenuhi kebutuhan pangan hewani sesuai dengan kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat, khususnya pendapatannya dan menganalisis terkait elastisitas permintaan untuk pangan hewani Jawa Timur menurut kelas pendapatan di masa pandemi Covid-19. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder rumah tangga dari Survei Sosial Ekonomi Nasional (Susenas) di Jawa Timur. Hasil penelitian memberikan informasi bahwa keragaan konsumsi pangan hewani yang dikonsumsi oleh sebagian besar masyarakat Jawa Timur pada kelas tertinggi, menengah, dan rendah adalah ikan segar. Kemudian peringkat konsumsi tertinggi 2 ada di komoditas peternakan pada jenis telur dan ayam kampung. Konsumsi protein hewani masyarakat Jawa Timur terendah adalah dari daging sapi sebesar 0,14 gr/kapita/hari. Pola konsumsi protein hewani masyarakat Jawa Timur cenderung sama antar kelas pendapatan maupun antara perdesaan dan perkotaan.

Abstract

Mathematical reasoning is essential for understanding mathematics. This literature study determines the development of learners’ mathematical reasoning abilities over the last 3 years. This study presents a literature review regarding the development of mathematical reasoning, including media, strategies, and measurement instruments, to serve as a basis for future mathematical reasoning research. The literature study method used is a systematic literature review (SLR), using a review procedure that refers to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework in the period 2021 to 2023 because the development of mathematical reasoning literature studies is very significant and recent. Data collection was performed by reviewing 20 Scopus-indexed articles from the Scopus database. The results of the research reveal that from the 20 selected pieces of literature, it can be interpreted that mathematical reasoning abilities can be improved and fulfill the indicators of mathematical reasoning itself by providing innovative media, strategies, and instruments in mathematics learning. The innovation provided can be in the form of technology integration (Geogebra), strategies that are no longer conventional, and the reasoning indicator instrument itself. Thus, students’ mathematical reasoning abilities are no longer included in the low category in solving mathematical problems.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran Card match circle berbasis budaya melayu pada mata pelajaran IPS SD Kelas IV yang valid dan praktis. Media pembelajaran dikembangkan menggunakan metode  penelitian RD dengan model 4D. Data penelitian  dikumpulkan dengan cara observasi,  wawancara dan penyebaran angket. Validasi dilakukan oleh 5 validator ahli dengan 2 validator media, 2 validator materi dan 1 validator bahasa. Hasil validasi media memperoleh rata-rata 9-,63% dan 89,1% dengan kategori sangat valid. Validasi materi memperoleh rata-rata 95,8% dan 83% dengan kategori sangat valid dan validasi bahasa memperoleh rata-rata 91,7% dengan kategori sangat valid. Sedangkan kepraktisan media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berdasarkan angket praktikalitas guru memperoleh presentasi rata-rata 92,5% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Begitu pula berdasarkan angket praktikalitas peserta didik uji coba kelompok kecil memperoleh rata-rata 89% dengan kategori sangat praktis dan  uji coba lapangan memperoleh presntase rata-rata 91% dengan kategori sanagat praktis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran Card match circle berbasis budaya melayu pada mata pelajaran IPS SD Kelas IV telah memenuhi kriteria validitas dan praktikalitas sehingga produk ini dapat digunakana oleh  guru dan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPS Materi kearifan local kelas IV.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelelajaran dengan strategi role playing dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan strategi konvensional terhadap interaksi sosial siswa Sekolah Dasar Negeri 188 Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi ekperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah adalah siswa kelas VI Sekolah Dasar Negeri 188 Pekanbaru. Teknik Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan angket untuk mengetahui interaksi sosial siswa. Analisis data menggunakan Uji-t. Hasil penelitian adalah terdapat pengaruh antara siswa yang mengikuti pembelelajaran dengan model role playing dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model konvensional terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan output perhitungan data juga diketahui Thitung sebesar 5,435 dan nilai P= 0.00.Kata Kunci: role playing, interaksi sosial siswa.

Abstract

Cultural integration in mathematics learning is one of the learning approaches that must be possessed by elementary school teachers in Indonesia. However, many teachers still have difficulty in integrating it. Therefore, it is necessary to design community service activities that can support elementary school teachers' knowledge of ethno-didactic of mathematics. The initial step taken was to measure teachers’ knowledge of ethno-didactic of mathematics by providing a survey to 16 teachers from SDN 003 Kandis. The teachers were given 5 statements related to their understanding of ethno-didactics of mathematics on a scale of 1 (poor) to 10 (excellent). The results of this initial survey indicate that teachers’ knowledge of ethno-didactic of mathematics is still in the low category, so it is necessary to conduct a workshop to strengthen the competence of elementary school teachers’ knowledge of ethno-didactics of mathematics and be able to use it in designing mathematics learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Kurikulum Merdeka memberikan kebebasan kepada guru untuk merancang dan mengembangkan pembelajaran di kelas masing-masing termasuk pembelajaran matematika. Pengintegrasian budaya, khususnya budaya Melayu, dalam pembelajaran matematika merupakan salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang dapat menjadi pilihan bagi guru-guru khususnya di sekolah dasar. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mendukung guru-guru meningkatkan pengetahuan mereka tentang etno-didaktik matematika dan dapat mengembangkan pembelajaran berbasis etno-didaktik matematika. Kegiatan Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan partisipan yaitu 16 orang guru SDN 03 Kandis. Kegiatan workshop ini mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan guru tentang etno-didaktik matematika dan juga kemampuan merancang pembelajaran berbasis etno-didaktik matematika Melayu. Namun, perlu tindak lanjut dari kegiatan ini sehingga pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang telah dimiliki guru dapat diterapkan di pembelajaran matematika di kelas masing-masing.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of understanding literacy as a reference in students' understanding in their combined learning activities by using modules that are referenced in the context of local wisdom to increase their knowledge horizons. This research was conducted to examine the effect of local wisdom-based modules on elementary school students. The method in this study was carried out through an experiment where the design pattern was Pre-Experimental One Group Posttest-Posttest . The sample consisted of 22 class V students from one of the elementary schools in the Tarai Bangun area, Kampar, Riau. Data was collected through experiments using pretest and posttest questions given in the form of multiple choice questions. The research results showed a significant increase in students' reading comprehension after implementing the literacy module that adopted local values, where the posttest average score (78.64 ) was significantly higher than the pretest average score (66.82). Statistical analysis also confirmed that the pretest and posttest results were significantly different (p < 0.05 ) , previously a normality test and homogeneity test had been carried out and there were normal and homogeneous value results, in the N-Gain test which showed an increase in reading comprehension in the category medium (0.3660). These findings illustrate that the implementation of local wisdom-based reading literacy modules has an impact on elementary school students' reading comprehension skills.

Abstract

Background: This community service program aimed to prevent sexual violence and bullying through assertive communication training for elementary school teachers in Maredan Barat Village, Tualang District, Siak Regency. Teachers, as strategic actors in creating a safe school environment, often face limitations in understanding and skills when handling cases of sexual violence and bullying.Aims: To improve teachers' understanding, skills, and attitudes towards sexual violence and bullying in the school environment.Methods: The training, conducted from June to October 2024, was designed to enhance teachers’ understanding, skills, and attitudes by integrating the local Riau Malay culture. The program involved 40 teachers from several schools in the village. The training was carried out in three stages: socialization to provide basic understanding, simulation, and role-play to improve assertive communication skills, and evaluated using pretest and posttest questionnaires.Results: The evaluation results showed significant improvements in all indicators. In preventing sexual violence, the average score for understanding increased from 3.12 to 4.45, assertive communication skills from 1.97 to 4.32, and attitudes toward prevention from 3.23 to 4.47. In preventing bullying, the average understanding score rose from 3.21 to 4.57, communication skills from 2.12 to 4.47, and attitudes from 3.13 to 4.68. These improvements demonstrate the effectiveness of the training in equipping teachers with better assertive communication techniques, strengthening their understanding, and transforming their attitudes to be more proactive and responsible.Conclusion: This program has proven successful in enhancing teachers’ capacity to prevent sexual violence and bullying, making them more prepared and confident in addressing these issues.
