Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the highest percentage causes of maternal death are bleeding (28%) and infection, which can be caused by low hemoglobin (Hb) levels or anemia and chronic energy deficiency (CED). Prevention efforts that can be carried out before pregnancy are prioritized from adolescence so that the actions taken can provide optimal results. This activity aims to increase the knowledge of teenagers and pregnant women about preventing anemia and CED. The activity was carried out through counseling through the emotional demonstration method to 20 pregnant women and 20 young women. Assessment of the target's level of knowledge in preventing anemia and CED was carried out before and after counseling through a questionnaire containing closed questions. The Wilcoxon test is used to analyze the mean difference between the two assessment results. The results of this activity showed an increase in knowledge of adolescents and pregnant women about the fulfillment of nutrition and prevention of SEZs and Anemia after counseling using the emotional demonstration methodKeyword: adolescents, pregnant women, SEZ, anemia

Abstract

Based on the 2018-2019 Hepatitis and Digestive Tract Infection Information System (SIHEPI), the number of pregnant women tested for hepatitis B was 1,643,204 in 34 provinces. As a result, 30,965 pregnant women were reactive (infected with the hepatitis B virus), and 15,747 newborns from hepatitis B-reactive mothers were given Hepatitis B Immunoglobulin (HBIg). The purpose of this study was to analyze factors related to the incidence of hepatitis B in pregnant women at the Community Health Center in Kelurahan C. This study used a quantitative method with a case-control design where factors related to hepatitis B in pregnant women were tested simultaneously. The sample in this study was 50 people. The results showed a relationship between ANC and the incidence of Hepatitis B (p value 0.040). There was no relationship between education, occupation, family history and history of misuse of unused syringes (p value > 0.05).

Abstract

Knowledge is paramount in implementing an action because actions based on knowledge are, in principle, better. Husbands who have good knowledge about stunting prevention can provide support to mothers by meeting the nutritional needs of pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. Husband's support is the most important element in helping individuals solve problems. With support, self-confidence will increase and motivation to face problems will increase. Family support, especially husbands, is very dominant in providing moral and physical assistance during pregnancy. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between husbands' knowledge levels and support for pregnant women in stunting prevention efforts. This type of research is quantitative with an analytical design and a cross-sectional approach. This study was conducted at the Blora Community Health Center UPTD with a population of 92 husbands of pregnant women who underwent examinations in August 2024. The sampling technique used consecutive sampling and obtained a sample of 75 people. The research instrument used a knowledge and support questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using the Fisher's Exact test with a 5% error rate. The results showed a relationship between husbands' knowledge and support for pregnant women in stunting prevention efforts with a p-value of 0.002 <0.05. There is a need to increase counseling for pregnant women about preventing stunting by involving the family, especially the husband.
