Abstract

Tubir Seram Island in Fakfak Regency, West Papua, has tourism potential that can support the socio-economic welfare of the Dana Weria community. However, tourism development is constrained by limited infrastructure, low digital literacy, and geographical challenges. This study aims to analyze the management of Tubir Seram Island tourism and its contribution to community welfare. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving tourism managers, visitors, and members of the Dana Weria community. The findings show that community-based tourism management contributes to increasing household income, creating employment opportunities, and strengthening local cultural identity. Nevertheless, inadequate infrastructure, limited human resource capacity, and weak stakeholder coordination remain major challenges to sustainable tourism development. This study contributes to the community-based tourism literature by providing empirical evidence from a remote coastal area in West Papua. The findings emphasize the importance of strengthening local institutions, enhancing tourism capacity-building programs, and increasing government support to promote inclusive and sustainable tourism development. Effective tourism management can serve as a strategic instrument for improving the socio-economic welfare of coastal communities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the potential, existing conditions, challenges, and formulate a women's empowerment model for the development of a Minapolitan tourism village in Berahan Wetan Village, Wedung District, Demak Regency. The research employed a qualitative case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation review. The findings indicate that: (1) Berahan Wetan Village possesses strong minapolitan potential, particularly in brackish-water aquaculture, seafood-processing micro, small, and medium enterprises predominantly managed by women, as well as the socio-cultural assets of the coastal community. However, this potential has not been optimally managed due to weak tourism village institutions, limited integration between the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) and the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes), low digital literacy among women, limited infrastructure, and ecological challenges such as coastal abrasion and tidal flooding. These conditions have led to fragmented, unsustainable development of the Minapolitan tourism village. (2) The women's empowerment model is based on a Community-Based Tourism approach integrated into three main pillars: capacity building, institutional strengthening, and the integration of the Minapolitan value chain. This model positions women as key actors in coastal economic diversification and supports the development of an inclusive and sustainable tourism village.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the profound role of Sheikh Ahmad Khatib al-Minangkabawi (1860-1916) in the dynamics of the history and practice of Hajj in Indonesia through a historical perspective and literature analysis. As a great scholar from Minangkabau who was appointed as the Grand Imam of the Shafi'i School of Law at the Grand Mosque, he became a central reform agent who connected the intellectual heritage of the Hijaz with the Indonesian Hajj pilgrims in the late 19th to early 20th centuries. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research approach, with references to historical research and library research. The results of this study are: Sheikh Ahmad Khatib al-Minangkabawi's significant contribution lies in the reform of religious practices brought home by pilgrims, namely by opposing ta'assub mazhab and encouraging the purification of Hajj jurisprudence through an emphasis on the Qur'an and Sunnah. In addition, his strong criticism of traditionalism, especially the matrilineal inheritance system and the Naqsyabandiyah Order and the cadre formation of scholars (including the founders of Muhammadiyah and NU) fundamentally shaped the puritan and modernist identity of Islam in Indonesia. This research is expected to increase understanding of the Hajj as a channel for Islamic intellectual mobility.

Abstract

This study examines the content validity of the spiritual guidance intensity instrument through expert judgment from five Islamic counseling and psychology experts. A total of 48 items were analyzed using Aiken's V formula. The results showed that 39 items (81.25%) were declared acceptable and 9 items (18.75%) were acceptable with minor revisions, indicating good content validity for the entire instrument. This indicates that all items have good content validity and are suitable for use. This study confirms that behavioural and observable dimensions tend to have higher and more consistent content validity than experiential or transformational dimensions. Theoretically, this study contributes to the development of spiritual guidance measurement instruments with an evidence-based approach through content validation. This study is the first to test the feasibility of spiritual guidance intensity instruments based on expert judgement.
