Abstract

The Covid 19 pandemic period presented challenges to all areas of life, including the education sector. The learning process in Indonesia had to be incidentally diverted towards online learning. Constraints and challenges are faced especially for practical learning characteristics, such as arts and culture subjects with main topics such as dance. To get around this, it is necessary to motivate the creativity of arts and culture teachers through training in the creation of art learning, especially dance learning. This activity instills knowledge and skills for teachers to be creative in developing dance learning in arts and culture subjects. This is present as a joint solution in seeking to keep the arts and culture learning process running and the final competence of students can be achieved as expected. The training method is carried out using lecture techniques, discussions and online practice. Through this training, 60% of the participants are confident in designing Blended Learning art and culture learning with more interesting learning media. This activity can help these teachers to design creative and informative learning media with an average achievement of 84.85 which is classified as "very good".  This is a positive indication of the teacher's ability to develop creations in learning arts and culture subjects in schools online.

Abstract

The low participation of academics in structured physical activity is a real challenge within the University of Lampung environment. The widespread sedentary lifestyle among students and education staff has a negative impact on health and productivity. As a response to this problem, an innovation resulting from research has been developed in the form of a Moderate version of the Unila Be Strong Creative Gymnastics, which is designed to be fun, dynamic and in line with physical activity needs in the campus environment. However, this exercise is not yet widespread because there are no internal tutors who are able to facilitate its implementation on a regular basis. This service activity aims to prepare students as gymnastics tutors who act as dissemination agents in work units, faculties and the campus community. Training includes mastery of basic gymnastic movements, group leadership skills, as well as a participatory facilitation approach. The output of the activity is increasing the competence of tutors, training modules, and the formation of a network of gymnastics practitioners within the University of Lampung. This activity is expected to be able to encourage the formation of a culture of healthy and active living, as well as strengthen the integration of research results in service to the campus community.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the Mentari media as a therapeutic tool in improving the Psychomotor abilities of children with Down Syndrome at PIK Potads Lampung. This research employed a quantitative method with a descriptive approach and a One Group Pretest–Posttest design. The research subjects were children with Down Syndrome who participated in a dance-based therapeutic learning program using Mentari media. The study was conducted over 18 learning sessions that were systematically designed to stimulate children's Psychomotor development through dance movement activities. The measurement of Psychomotor ability was based on three aspects: remembering movements, understanding movements, and applying movements, which refer to Bloom’s Taxonomy 2021. The results of the study showed an improvement in the Psychomotor abilities of the research subjects, indicated by an increase in the average score from 52.8% score 35.4 in the pretest to 125.6% score 83.7 in the posttest. The results of the t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. These findings indicate a significant difference in psychomotor abilities before and after the implementation of dance learning using Mentari media. Therefore, it can be concluded that Mentari media is significantly effective as a therapeutic tool to improve the Psychomotor abilities of children with Down Syndrome at PIK Potads Lampung.
