In the era of Covid19 health is something that must be considered, because one of the causes of disruption to one's health comes from food. The results show that SMEs are able to understand and apply sanitary hygiene and 5S in running their business. And it is hoped that there will be changes in behavior in terms of hygiene, health and safety at work.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Cimahi City possess strategic potential, particularly in the food and beverage sector. Cimahi is one of the cities experiencing growth in the number of MSMEs, with a growth rate of 50.24%. However, the increase in the number of MSMEs has not been accompanied by consistent revenue growth, which has fluctuated from 2019 to 2023. Several challenges have been identified, including a lack of basic entrepreneurial knowledge among the workforce, insufficient self-reliance in entrepreneurship, and limited proficiency in the use of technology. To address these performance issues, it is crucial for MSME actors to create added value by strengthening strategic agility and innovation capability. The objective of this study is to examine the impact of strategic agility on business performance, mediated by innovation capability. The study sample consists of 106 MSMEs, selected using probability sampling with a cluster sampling technique. Descriptive analysis results categorize business performance and innovation capability as moderate, while strategic agility is categorized as high. The research findings indicate that strategic agility does not affect innovation capability, strategic agility influences business performance, innovation capability affects business performance, and innovation capability does not mediate the influence of intellectual capital on business performance.

Abstract

In a dynamic and competitive business environment, understanding the factors that drive entrepreneurial innovation is important. This study examines the relationship between entrepreneurial competence and innovation in the context of the embroidery industry in Bandung. Structural Equation Modeling was employed to evaluate the proposed relationships with 90 embroidery entrepreneurs in Bandung. Empirical results show that a conducive business environment is associated with higher levels of innovation among embroidery entrepreneurs in Bandung. In addition, these environmental conditions also strengthen entrepreneurial competence, which in turn drives innovation, with entrepreneurial competence acting as a partial intermediary mechanism in this relationship. This study contributes to the literature on entrepreneurship and innovation by providing empirical evidence confirming the importance of entrepreneurial competence as a mechanism linking environmental conditions and innovation outcomes in small-scale creative industries. Furthermore, the findings emphasize the importance of improving the business environment to encourage entrepreneurial creativity, suggesting that policymakers and local stakeholders need to strengthen their support through access to resources, market information, and institutions. The research any several limitations. First, focuses on entrepreneurs in the embroidery industry in Bandung. This contextual focus suggests that the findings are most relevant to the embroidery sector in Bandung and may not fully reflect conditions in other settings. Second, the study relies on primary data collected through questionnaires, which may be subject to respondents’ perceptions and interpretations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze production planning and control to improve the smoothness of black cough syrup (OBH) production at PT XYZ. The company faces several challenges in its production process, such as raw material delays, sudden changes in market demand, and discrepancies between planning and production realization. This research employs a descriptive-qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and document analysis. Analytical tools include a process flowchart, Pareto chart, and fishbone (Ishikawa) diagram. The results reveal that inefficiencies in production are mainly caused by five core elements: human (errors and lack of training), machine (frequent breakdowns and limited capacity), method (inflexible planning), material (delayed supply), and environment (poor interdepartmental coordination). These findings are supported by in-depth interviews, indicating that production delays often stem from miscommunication between the planning and production execution teams. The practical implication of this study is the need for a more responsive PPC system and the digitalization of processes to enhance integration among departments. This research contributes to the development of production control strategies in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in optimizing production flow. The findings are expected to serve as a foundation for managerial decision-making to strengthen adaptive and efficient production systems.
