Abstract

Latar belakang : penyakit periodontitis adalah penyakit yang dapat merusak jaringan ligamen dan tulang alveolar. Penyebab periodontitis adalah bakteri gram negatif, yaitu bakteri Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans dan Fusobacterium nucleatum. Tujuan : untuk mengetahui pengaruh bakteri Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans dan Fusobacterium nucleatum terhadap pengaruh ekstrak daun Strobilanthes crispus BI. Metode : jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimental laboratorik, sebanyak 5 sampel dalam satu jenis bakteri yang diuji. Sampel di lakukan dengan di larutkan di dalam etanol kemudian dilakukan dengan percobaan 5 replikasi dalam berbagai konsentrasi dan di inkubasikan di dalam tabung reaksi selama 24 jam di dalam inkubator. Hasil : penelitian ini  dilakukan dengan pengujian DMRT (Ducan Multiple Range Test) pada 5% yang menunjukkan pengaruh Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans dan Fusobacterium nucleatum. Dari hasil penelitian ini, ekstrak daun keji beling 100% dapat menujukkan nilai absorbansi terendah pada kadar hambat minimum dan kadar bunuh minimum terhadap bakteri Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans dan Fusobacterium nucleatum secara berturut-turut 0.1540 dan 0.4072, yang menunjukkan bahwa larutan tersebut menjadi lebih jernih. Sedangkan pada perlakuan ekstrak daun keji beling 20% dan 40% menujukkan nilai absorbansi 1.3192 dan 1.2120 yang memiliki nilai yang lebih rendah dari kontrol. Kesimpulan : pengaruh ekstrak daun Strobilanthes crispus BI memberikan efek mampu menghambat pertumbuhan pada Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans dan Fusobacterium nucleatum.

Abstract

Introduction; The smooth surface of the nanofiller composite resin can become rough with the consumption of acidic foods/drinks. Objectives; know the difference of the effect of immersion of lemon juice and cikala acid juice on the roughness of the nanofiller composite resin. Method; laboratory experimental research with nanofiller composite resin samples. Statistical test using ANOVA test. Results; showed that there was a significant difference (p <0.05) between the roughness of the nanofiller composite resin soaked in cikala acid juice and the control group but the results showed no significant difference (p> 0.05) between the roughness of the nanofiller composite resin immersed in water. lemon juice with the control group. Conclusion; that there is a significant difference between the effect of soaking water with cikala acid juice and lemon juice on the surface roughness of the nanofiller composite resin

Abstract

Introduction; Treponema denticola and Tannerela forsythia bacteria as the main cause of periodontal disease. The aim was to determine the effectiveness of hydrogel aloe vera with antibacterial concentrations of 2.5%, 5%, 10%, and 20% against Treponema denticola and Tannerela forsythia: in vitro bacteria. Method; is a laboratory experimental study with a post-test-only control group in vitro design. The research sample was Treponema denticola and Tannerela Forsythia. Data collection by measuring the diameter of the drag zone using a slide caliper. Data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA and LSD. Results; showed that there were differences in the hydrogel diameter of the inhibitor concentration of aloe vera 2.5%, 5%, 10%, 20%, and positive control in Treponema denticola and Tannerela forsythia bacteria. Conclusion; that there is antibacterial effectiveness of hydrogel aloe vera concentrations of 2.5%, 5%, 10%, and 20% in Treponema denticola and Tannerela forsythia bacteria.

Abstract

Acemannan activity as a natural polysaccharide from Aloevera has good biodegradability and biocompatibility and has an effect on cell tissue repair. The study's objective was to ascertain whether giving Hydrogel Acemannan at concentrations of 25%, 50%, and 75% would be beneficial in lowering the quantity of macrophages in diabetic periodontitis mice . 48 white Wistar rats were used as research samples, and they were split into four groups at two different observation intervals (days 3 and 7).One-way ANOVA and posthoc LSD statistical tests were used to assess the data. The number of macrophages in each group decreased on day 7 to 3.50 ± 0.354; 2.79±0.431; 1.54 ± 0.292; 0.54 ± 0.292. The results of the one-way ANOVAX test (p≤0.05) showed that the Hydrogel Acemannan concentrations of 25%, 50%, and 75% were effective in reducing the number of macrophages in periodontitis mice with diabetes mellitus. The results of the LSD posthoc test showed that Hydrogel Acemannan concentrations of 25%, 50%, and 75% were substantially more effective than the positive control in reducing the number of macrophages in periodontal mice with diabetes mellitus (p≤0.05).
