Abstract

This study was conducted to explore the pattern of S1 PGSD-UT students' learning readiness at two UT’s regional offices.  The results of the study were intended to develope  the guidelines of the Strata 1- basic education teacher Program at Universitas Terbuka (UT). The research was carried out in the islands of Kepulauan Seribu which managed by UT’s regional office in Jakarta  and the islands of Tidore which managed by UT’s regional office in Ternate. The data were collected using questionnaires to 200 basic education student-respondents and direct interviews to 27 student-respondents who registered in the first semester of 2010. The number of 174 questionnaires were analyzed. The results of the study showed that, first, about 92% of Strata 1-students of the basic education teacher program were elementary school teachers. Second, they lived in small islands and tended to face various obstacles to fully participate in learning activities which could influence on their success in their study completion. Third, about 48 % of the them dealed with infrastructure and facility limitations. Fourth, geographical, weather/natural,  economic, and  transportation conditions were possible  to  affect their learning readiness to fully involve in learning process. These conditons might increase student drop out and prohibit student completion in the proper time. Fifth, students’ confidence tended increase when they performed more self learning and had opportunity  to get more access to learning resource facilities. The student could be more success in learning by involving lecturers/tutors and facilitating communication media through an integrated mobile learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the socio-cultural, factors that make up the work ethic, and workflow scavengers in categorizing the thrift as a source of information and support materials for learning. The method used in the study is a survey with a qualitative approach that is supported by quantitative data. Primary data was collected by questionnaire and in-depth interviews, secondary data obtained from documents and documentation Pamulang 2. When the study area from August to November 2012 and continued in the months from January to March 2013.  The results showed that almost all scavengers assess both economically job as scavengers can be used as a primary source of income. Skill and dexterity in scavenging into a large capital gain product mulung more. The process contributes to the way categorization of junk into parts easily understood and utilized by stakeholder. Expected investment process at thrift concept has dimensions of knowledge that can be used as a unique learning model for the community. Abstract

This study aims to generate an effective way of guiding the practice of Professional Capabilities Stabilization (Pemantapan Kemampuan Profesional/PKP) and is used to enhance the ability of S1 PGSD-UT student in the learning improvement. Through lesson study in PKP considered important, because theoretically, provide a way for teachers to improve learning systematically (Podhorsky, C., & Fisher, D., 2007). As the program estuary of S1 PGSD-UT program, this program is the culmination of a course that has been followed earlier by S1 students PGSD. Through PKP, students are expected to have better professional skills in applying the principles of action research (PTK) to find, analyze, and formulate learning problems encountered. The study was conducted with a participatory or emancipatory paradigm approach as set out basic concepts of participatory action reseach (McTaggart, R., 1991, Carr and Kemmis, 1990, Connole, 1993). The study was conducted in 2014 with 34 students S1 PGSD-UT as a sample. The research method using observation, learning journals, interviews, and documentaries. Results showed that the lesson study as a model for professional development of educators through collaborative learning and continuous assessment based on the principles of collegiality and mutual learning to build a learning community. Lesson study selected and implemented the guidance PKP be an effective way to improve the quality of learning and teaching in the classroom. The development of lesson study conducted and based on the "sharing" knowledge based on practice and teacher learning outcomes. Stages lesson study on mentoring PKP include six, namely: (1) forming a group lesson study, (2) determine the focus of the study, (3) plan research lesson, (4) the implementation and observation of learning, (5) to discuss and analyze the results of observation, and (6) of reflection. Guidance PKP with lesson study produced five phases, namely a phase in service training, Generic Classroom Action Research (CAR practices), studying ICT, report preparation and presentation of reports PKP. Through lesson study under the guidance of PKP increased teacher competence, quality improvement processes and learning outcomes, development of democratic learning paradigm based on constructivism to develop scientific thinking. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan suatu cara yang efektif dalam pembimbingan praktik Pemantapan Kemampuan Profesional (PKP) dan digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa S1 PGSD-UT dalam perbaikan pembelajaran. Melalui lesson study dalam PKP dianggap penting, karena secara teoretis, menyediakan suatu cara bagi guru untuk dapat memperbaiki pembelajaran secara sistematis (Podhorsky, C., & Fisher, D., 2007). Sebagai program muara dari program S1 PGSD-UT, program ini merupakan puncak dari mata kuliah yang telah di ikuti sebelumnya oleh mahasiswa S1 PGSD. Melalui PKP, mahasiswa diharapkan akan memiliki kemampuan profesional yang lebih baik dalam menerapkan prinsip-prinsip Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) untuk menemukan, menganalisis, dan merumuskan masalah pembelajaran yang dihadapi. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan paradigma participatory atau emancipatory sebagai konsep dasar yang berangkat dari participatory action reseach (McTaggart, R., 1991, Carr and Kemmis, 1990, Connole, 1993). Penelitian dilakukan pada tahun 2014 dengan 34 mahasiswa S1 PGSD-UT sebagai sampel. Metode penelitian menggunakan teknik observasi, jurnal belajar, wawancara, dan dokumenter. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa lesson study sebagai model pembinaan profesi pendidik melalui pengkajian pembelajaran kolaboratif dan berkelanjutan berlandaskan prinsip-prinsip kolegalitas dan mutual learning untuk membangun komunitas belajar. Lesson study dipilih dan diimplementasikan pada bimbingan PKP menjadi cara efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas belajar dan mengajar di kelas. Pengembangan lesson study dilakukan dan didasarkan pada hasil “sharing” pengetahuan yang berlandaskan pada praktek dan hasil pembelajaran guru. Tahapan lesson study pada pembimbingan PKP mencakup enam, yaitu: (1) membentuk group lesson study, (2) menentukan fokus kajian, (3) merencanakan research lesson, (4) pelaksanaan dan observasi pembelajaran, (5) mendiskusikan dan menganalisis hasil observasi, dan (6) refleksi. Bimbingan PKP dengan lesson studydihasilkan 5 fase, yaitu fase in service training, Generik PTK (praktik PKP), belajar ICT, penyusunan laporan PKP dan Presentasi hasil laporan PKP. Melalui lesson study dalam bimbingan PKP terjadi peningkatan kompetensi guru, peningkatan kualitas proses dan hasil pembelajaran, pengembangan pembelajaran yang demokratis berbasis paradigma konstruktivisme untuk membangun pola pikir ilmiah.

Abstract

The research aims to describe the effect of Continuing Professional Development (PKB) on the competence and performance of elementary school teachers in learning innovation, and analyze how much influence PKB has on the competence and performance of elementary school teachers in carrying out learning innovations. Quantitative research method with simple random sampling technique. The population is 116 people and the sample used is 90 respondents. The resulting instruments include: PKB planning, self-development, scientific publications and innovative works with indicators following and implementing training, workshops, seminars, making innovative works and scientific publications in teacher performance. While learning innovation is measured through learning programs, classroom management, mastery of teaching materials, use of methods, media and evaluation of learning. The application of reflective actions and the results of Classroom Action Research reports on a regular basis become a benchmark for more professional teacher performance. Statistical data shows that: 1) there is a positive and significant effect of the PKB variable on teacher competence by 9.28%, 2) there is a positive and significant effect of the PKB variable on teacher performance by 4.84% and 3) there is a positive and significant influence on teacher performance. Simultaneous PKB variable on teacher competence and performance is 14.12%. Continuing Professional Development has a significant influence on teacher competence and performance which can be designed, tested and measured by the relevant agencies and has a broad impact on the innovative culture of teacher learning during the pandemic.

Abstract

School Operational Assistance (BOS) is an Indonesian government program that aims to provide funding for operational costs for basic educations as a part of compulsory education programs. The research was conducted to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of the BOS program in improving teaching performance and education quality. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach by using informants, including school principals, school treasurers, teachers, and school committees. Informants were selected by using purposive sampling technique and carried out to obtain data and produced an analysis of the field phenomena regarding the BOS program using the GOEM (Goal Oriented Evaluation Model) evaluation model. Indicator instruments include the preparation, structure, distribution, use, monitoring, reporting. The results showed that: (1) In general, the effectiveness of the implementation of the BOS program in the Kedu sub-district was appropriate in accordance with the BOS technical guidelines. (2) The effectiveness of the current use of the BOS fund program was less effective in improving teaching performance in pedagogic competence because BOS funds were not well targeted. In conclusion, innovative strategy is needed to improve learning programs as a the main targets.

Abstract

Program PKM Kewirausahaan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perekonomian masyarakat khususnya di wilayah perkotaan. Melihat dari keadaan warga yang mengalami masalah ekonomi di perkotaan, Tim PKM Kewirausahaan membuat program kerja yang berhubungan untuk pengembangan perekonomian warga Bekasi Utara tepatnya di Jalan KH Muchtar Tabrani No 8 Kelurahan Magra Mulya, Bekasi Utara, selain itu program kerja ini sebagai bentuk kreatifitas mahasiswa. Budidaya ikan lele sangkuriang merupakan suatu usaha yang menjanjikan untuk di geluti waktu sekarang, kebutuhan akan ikan yang tinggi di pasaran, pasar ikan lele yang stabil membuat peternakan budidaya ikan lele di minati. Budidaya lele sangkuriang didaerah Magra Mulya milik memiliki kelebihan tertentu, yakni kondisi wilayah tergolong cocok untuk budidaya lele karna bersuhu hangat. Selain daripada itu, budidaya lele didaerah Magra Mulya ini didukung oleh masyarkat sekitar, sebab masyarakat memiliki semangat untuk ikut andil dalam penjualan dan budidaya lele sangkuriang tersebut. Namun, terdapat beberapa permasalahan yakni memiliki luas lahan sebesar 250m2, namun kolam lele yang tersedia hanya sedikit. Adapun permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam budidaya lele sangkuriang, diantaranya : (1) Curah hujan yang cukup tinggi di Kelurahan Magra Mulya, Bekasi Utara; (2) Memiliki luas lahan sebesar 250m2, namun kolam lele masih sedikit; (3) Pemasaran ikan lele yang masih dilakukan secara door to door. Abstract

Tujuan dilaksanakan pelaksanaan kegaitan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini untuk dorong ekonomi pedesaan, perlu terobosan untuk pengganti minyak bumi yang berbasis fosil mengingat cadangan sumber energy fosil (minyak dan gas bumi) di dunia semakin menipis. Energi alternatif yang tersedia di alam, seperti energi matahari. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakt ini adalah pemasangan solar panel dan pelatihan pemasaran digital di desa Kuripan,Kecamatan Ciseeng, Bogor. Metode yang digunakan tahap Interpersonal, tahap persiapan teknis, tahapan aplikasi dan monitoring. Warga dapat melakukan aktivitas dimalam hingga subuh karena tidak terkendala dengan penerangan lampu jalan, dengan pemanfaat internet warga dapat memasarkan produk hasil produksi rumah dengan menambahkan nilai ergo-ikonik untuk meningkatkan penjualan mereka.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, residents of Talun Village in Rangkasbitung saw the benefits of oyster mushroom farming as an alternative source of income. The Community Service Team is primarily concerned with mapping the problem and developing a solution plan to raise the quantity, quality, and economic worth of oyster mushroom production. To attain the aims, participatory learning, field practice, monitoring, and evaluation are used. To ensure the sustainability of the cultivation, a total of 20 youth members of the youth organization were participating. The following innovation outcomes were achieved: 1) improving mushroom quality by increasing baglog nutrition with the addition of corn groats; 2) the introduction and use of mixing machines for mixing materials; 3) the introduction and use of autoclaves and boiler machines; 4) the use of manual log molds and folding plastic; and 5) mushroom harvesting technique innovation

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKPD pembelajaran tematik berbasis TPACK berpendekatan inkuiri terbimbing untuk peningkatan kemandirian dan hasil belajar IPA siswa SD yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Pengembangan mengacu model Borg Gall yang terdiri atas 9 tahap. Subjek uji coba penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SDN 01 Karangtengah. Perangkat pembelajaran dan instrumen penelitian divalidasi oleh 3 validator menggunakan dengan instrumen lembar validasi dan memenuhi kriteria sangat valid dengan skor rata-rata 80,16%, yaitu terdiri dari LKPD 82,62%; soal THB 75%; aktivitas kemandirian belajar siswa 83,33%; dan RPP 76,69%. Kepraktisan LKPD dinilai oleh guru sebagai praktisi, siswa, dan observer menggunakan angket dan masuk kategori sangat baik, meliputi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dengan skor 85,42%; respon guru 87,15%; dan respon siswa 91,41%%. Keefektifan dinilai menggunakan analisis tes hasil belajar memenuhi kategori sangat baik dengan skor ketuntasan belajar IPA 91,41 melampaui kriteria yang ditetapkan yaitu ≥ 70; dan lembar observasi aktivitas kemandirian belajar siswa mencapai skor 87,5%. Berdasarkan penelitian tersebut disimpulkan pengembangan LKPD pembelajaran tematik berbasis TPACK berpendekatan inkuiri terbimbing untuk peningkatan kemandirian dan hasil belajar IPA siswa SD memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif.The purpose to produse TPACK-based thematic learning LKPD with a guided inquiry approach to increase independence and science learning result for elementary school students that are valid, practical, and effective. Development refers to the Borg Gall model which consists of 9 stages. The subjects of the research trial were fourth grade students of SDN 01 Karangtengah. Learning tools and research instruments were validated by 3 validators using validation sheet instruments and met very valid criteria achieving an average score of 80.16%, consisting of LKPD 82.62%; about THB 75%; independent student learning activities 83.33%; and RPP 76.69%. The practicality of LKPD was assessed by teachers as practitioners, students and observers using questionnaires and was in the very good category, include of the implementation of learning with a score of 85.42%; teacher response 87.15%; and student response 91.41%. Effectiveness was assessed using an analysis of learning result tests that met the very good category with a science learning completeness score of 91.41 exceeding the established criteria, namely ≥ 70; and the observation sheet of students' independent learning activities achieved a score of 87.5%. Based on this research, it was concluded that the development of TPACK-based thematic learning worksheets with a guided inquiry approach to increase independence and science learning result for elementary students met valid, practical, and effective criteria.
