Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of a storytelling method based on local folklore in improving junior high school students' writing literacy skills. The background of this study stems from students' low writing skills due to limited engaging learning methods and the lack of integration of local cultural values into the learning process. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest control group design. The study subjects consisted of two groups: an experimental group taught using a storytelling method based on local folklore and a control group taught using conventional methods. Data were collected through narrative writing tests, observations of learning activities, and semi-structured interviews. The results showed a significant difference between the learning outcomes of the experimental and control groups. The mean posttest score for the intervention group reached 81.5, and the control group’s score was 72.4. The t-test results showed t-count (3.75) > t-table (2.00) at a significance level of 0.05. The greatest improvement occurred in the content and creativity aspects, followed by narrative structure, language, and mechanics. In addition to improved learning outcomes, students also demonstrated greater enthusiasm, participation, and emotional engagement during learning. These findings reinforce Vygotsky's social constructivism theory and Bruner's concept of narrative learning, which argues that the learning process becomes more meaningful when integrated with a cultural context. Overall, this study concludes that the storytelling method based on local folklore is effective not only in improving writing skills but also in fostering students' cultural awareness and character. This approach is recommended as a culture-based literacy strategy for Indonesian language learning at the junior high school level

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan representasi kesepian serta pencarian identitas diri pada tokoh Don, Meri, dan Atta dalam film animasi Jumbo (2025) produksi Visinema Pictures. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan objek kajian berupa adegan, dialog, dan simbol visual yang menampilkan pengalaman kesepian dan proses pembentukan identitas tokoh. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dokumentasi dengan cara menonton film secara berulang, mencatat, dan mengklasifikasikan data yang relevan, kemudian dianalisis melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesepian direpresentasikan secara beragam: Don mengalami kesepian akibat kehilangan orang tua dan perundungan, Meri merepresentasikan kesepian eksistensial lintas dunia akibat keterpisahan dari keluarga, sementara Atta menunjukkan kesepian tersembunyi yang termanifestasi melalui perilaku agresif. Kesepian tersebut menjadi benang merah dalam proses pencarian identitas diri yang mendorong perkembangan emosional, empati, dan pendewasaan karakter, sehingga film Jumbo tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai hiburan, tetapi juga sebagai media refleksi kemanusiaan.

Abstract

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid19) virus has changed the normal order of life in all aspects of life especially the field of education. The epidemic is expected to not interfere with the quality culture of the education unit given the function of education that should provide continuous public service to improve the quality culture of the education unit's performance. The application of quality cultures to the education unit is closely related to the national standards of accreditation process. The goal of research described how a culture of accreditation quality was adopted during the covid pandemic of 19 in the town of tegal. The study Kindergarten is a qualitative approach with a holistic naturalistic descriptive method. Research subjects number 3 advanced education units in the town of tegal. Based on the results of the study, it is expected that the implementation of a culture of accreditation in 3 supedes' education unit has been successful in implementing a quality culture through a national standard of accreditation established by the completion of a document of 8 liabilities, a process standard, a process standard, a standardized education, a management standard, a standard of financing, a standard of education assessment.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan implementasi kurikulum darurat menemui kendala pada tahap persiapan dan pelaksanaan, oleh sebab itu perlu dilakukan tindakan berupa evaluasi kurikulum. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tahap pendahuluan (antecedent), tahap proses (transaction) tahap hasil penilaian  (outcomes) pada Satuan Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini Kota Tegal kemudian memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan pelaksanaan kurikulum. Evaluasi kurikulum yang digunakan adalah Stake Countenance Models. Informasi yang didapatkan adakan disesuaikan dengan standar dari Kemendikbud. Populasi penelitian ini adalah Satuan yang ada di kota Tegal dengan sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yaitu memiliki ketentuan Satuan yang memiliki kurikulum darurat dan telah melaksanakan kurikulum darurat. Instrumen pengumpulan data angket, observasi dan dokumentasi. Uji coba instrumen dilaksanakan di Satuan Pendidikan Anak Usia Kota Tegal yang telah memiliki kurikulum darurat dan telah melaksanakan kurikulum darurat. Analisis yang digunakan yaitu dengan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian keseluruhan hasil evaluasi kurikulum darurat pada 5 Satuan Pendidikan Anak Usia memperoleh hasil rata-rata keseluruhan berjumlah 75,50% dengan kategori baik. Pada tahap pendahuluan (antecedent) dengan perolehan rata-rata dari 5 Satuan sebesar 72,36%, tahap proses (transaction) dengan perolehan rata-rata dari 5 Satuan sebesar 82,8% dan tahap hasil penilaian (outcomes) dengan perolehan rata-rata dari 5 Satuan sebesar 84%. Kesimpulan implementasi kurikulum darurat di 5 Satuan di Kota Tegal belum sesuai standar yang ditentukan maka perlu diberikan rekomendasi perbaikan
