Abstract

Ground  water  is  actually  a  source  of  clean  water.  As  a  source,  it  should  not  be  polluted  by wastewater. However, as the population grows, the discharge of wastewater will also increase. Municipal  wastewater  must  bespecifically  managed  so  that  its  disposal  does  not  mix  with groundwater  by  providing  a  special  pipeline  to  drain  and  collect  municipal  wastewater  to collection   and   processing   facilities,   before   finally   being   discharged   into   rivers   or   the environment afterconditions are safe. This wastewater treatment pipeline network resembles a commodity distribution network from industry to consumers. By analogy and adjustment, the maximum covering solution method can be used to design the location of the facility and the waste treatment plant. The goal is to obtain the lowest possible length of pipe, which covers all municipal  wastewater  sources,  namely  settlements  and  other  public  facilities.  The  analysis must  be  carried  out  in  two  stages,  which  in  this  paper  are  called  level-1  and  level-2.  In  this paper, only the basic concepts of the study are revealed. Simple case examples and numerical solutions are briefly revealed

Abstract

Pusat perhatian pada paper  ini ialah bagian pencabangan distribusi (channel distribusi) pada suatu sistem supply chain. Lotsize pada masing-masing channel tersebut bisa berbeda-beda. Durasi-durasi waktu proses/kegiatan diasumsikan terdistribusi eksponensial. Konsep system dynamic digunakan untuk pemodelannya. Diambil contoh dua channel untuk mewakili multi channel. Hasil perhitungan terhadap satu contoh kasus menunjukkan kesesuaian perilaku antara model numerik system dynamics dengan model konseptualnya. Dalam hal ini terutama pada konsep mekanisme () dan profil kurva state of the system seturut waktu. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa cara kontinyu dapat memudahkan pemodelan dibandingkan dengan cara diskrit, dengan hasil yang tidak jauh berbeda.

Abstract

The availability of LPG in the community is a sensitive issue. If there is a shortage, it has the potential to cause chaos and inflation. The final consumers, namely households and micro business stalls, will generally be disloyal. They are not tied to one particular store to get the LPG they need. Since the number of tanks in circulation will remain constant, the analysis of LPG availability can be focused on the number of tanks. Continuous simulation method with system dynamics is generally used in system growth analysis. In this paper the method is utilized to model the discrete movement of tanks circulating in the community which in this case is represented in a much smaller system, consisting of filling stations, agents, and stores. The modeling results provide a sufficient picture of how the availability of the tank can be optimized appropriately.

Abstract

Masyarakat pedesaan memilih kayu dan ranting sebagai bahan bakar kegiatan masak-memasak di dapur daripada menggunakan minyak atau bahan bakar lain. Namun karena asap yang ditimbulkan maka pemerintah menyediakan gas elpiji tabung sebagai pengganti bahan bakar kayu dan ranting tersebut. Biaya yang dikeluarkan menjadi bertambah karena gas tersebut harus dibeli, meskipun dengan harga subsidi. Sementara itu ketersediaan kayu, bambu dan ranting banyak tersedia di pedesaan. Cara yang dapat ditempuh ialah mengubah sampah kayu dan ranting menjadi arang. Acara ini diadakan untuk memperkenalkan teknologi reaktor pembuat arang dari bahan sisa-sisa kayu, bambu atau ranting-ranting dengan metode pirolisis. Reaktor dibuat dari drum bekas. Sudah banyak tercipta teknologi tepat guna yang terpublikasi di berbagai media sosial. Teknologi itu perlu diimplementasikan ke pihak yang membutuhkan. Di daerah Mojopurno banyak terdapat sisa-sisa kayu yang tidak terpakai yang umumnya dimanfaatkan secara sederhana sebagai kayu bakar di dapur. Panas yang diperoleh tidak maksimal. Banyak asap yang timbul berdampak tidak bagus bagi penghuni rumah, juga bagi bumi secara keseluruhan karena menambah emisi carbon. Dengan menjadikannya arang, maka pemanfaatan energi dapat maksimum, dan yang juga penting: nyaris tidak menimbulkan asap. Arang yang diperoleh dapat menjadi bahan bakar bersih di dapur, terutama bagi masyarakat di desa Mojopurno.

Abstract

In the batch process, the company uses the same process facilities to produce various types of products. This allows businesses to change production in response to changes in market demand. Batch processes are widely used in industry. In many cases, batch processes provide several benefits over continuous processes, especially when the industry wants to ensure and maintain the quality standards of its products. This paper proposes a behavioral model of a single-stage batch processing system, using the language of system dynamics. When run, the behavioral model will provide an overview of how the system behaves. The system dynamics language is a formulation of a system of ordinary differential equations that is extracted from the real system being studied, in the form of a stock and flow diagram. The computation of this diagram is further implemented using software. Because it is actually a calculus method, the system dynamics language provides output data much faster than discrete simulation modeling. In this paper, the system behavior modeled is mainly loading, processing and unloading activities. The verification results carried out by testing it on two different case examples show that the model can sufficiently describe the behavior of the conceptual system logically so that the model can enrich experimental tool options related to batch production processes in the future.

Abstract

The inventory replenishment process in the warehouse becomes difficult if there is uncertainty. It can cause warehouse performance not to be as expected. The warehouse is an important part of the supply chain subsystem, which smooths the flow of goods from upstream to downstream throughout the system. This paper uses system dynamics modeling to analyze the replenishment of raw materials where there is randomness in availability and reliability and their effects on the delivery lead time of the fleet. The model obtained is much simpler but more robust when compared to the analytical-mathematical model or the discrete-events simulation. Tests on the model show that the model can behave as it should logically. Several experiments were conducted to see how fleet availability's reliability can affect the delay in receiving or delivery lead time. One interesting thing revealed is that reliability does not have to be 100%, but there is a certain minimum threshold for the system to perform well. This is different from availability, which must be 100%.

Abstract

Mantab Rasa Madiun is a home-based business in the city of Madiun that manages and supplies soybean tempe products with a capacity of 150-200 kg of soybeans per day. Providing product availability in the market is quite a complicated issue for Mantab Rasa, especially for food products that have a perishable product life. The delay in conveying information to the production department causes the accuracy of the production quantity to be unsuccessful so that many requests cannot be fulfilled or products that are not absorbed. Strategies to solve the problem include the formulation of a method of identifying market demand per day so that the response of the production section to meet demand is almost accurate. The method offered is to collect demand data from sales through the WA group so that the demand data can be centralized and easy to enter into the forecasting application formulation of demand data then forecast with an MS Excel-based application. From the forecasting results, it is then included in the MRP-Like time phasing formula with the aim that operational managers can more easily decide how many kg of raw and soaked soybeans to boil today. The systematics that have been made have been socialized to partners and tested for 7 days. The results obtained are the managers have a recapitulation of centralized daily demand data and quickly get a decision on how much soybeans are processed to meet demand.

Abstract

The industry generally consists of a supply chain system. The main constituents of any supply chain system are suppliers, manufacturers, distribution centers, and retailers. The system configuration can be straight chain, branched, cyclic, or a combination of all. An analytical model is needed to study system behavior as a result of the dynamics of its constituents. Modeling a multi-channel section becomes quite a challenging job in this regard. A method of modeling the multi-channel section will be discussed in this paper by adopting multi-server queues. As is well known, in a multi-server queue, there is a branching point at which the flow of entities begins to spread across several parallel servers. In the modeling perspective of this paper, the branching point is in the buffer (finished good warehouse in the factory, i.e., the focal echelon). That is the end of the waiting line from which the entity specifically moves to one of the servers, or in this context; it is called a channel. In this paper, the number of channels can be any, generalizable, can be more than two. Hence, the subsystem studied includes a factory, finished product warehouse, and several distribution centers. The factory produces by the mechanism of, where and r are stopping point and production restarting point, respectively. Production stops when the quantity of finished product in the warehouse reaches units and will restart the production when the quantity drops to the same or lower than units. The model is developed under Markovian assumptions by considering the quantities of production rates, the number of distribution centers (channels), travel time from factories to each distribution center, delivery lot size, and the time between the arrival of orders from distribution centers. The system under study is seen as a case of two echelons, namely factories and distribution channels. The numerical model obtained is applied to one case example with certain conditions. Comparisons with discrete simulation results give relatively small and acceptable differences. So, in the future, this model can complement the overall modeling of the supply chain system, a multi-echelon system with multi-channel distribution.

Abstract

Kajian ini mengusulkan metode perhitungan untuk menentukan ketinggian tambahan minimal pada sistem filtrasi pasir dua tabung terbuka yang disusun seri. Model dikembangkan dengan mengintegrasikan persamaan Ergun dan pendekatan Darcy–Weisbach untuk menghitung penurunan tekanan saat aliran air melewati media pasir. Tekanan hidrostatis pada masing-masing tabung kemudian dikaitkan dengan hasil perhitungan tersebut guna menetapkan kenaikan ketinggian yang diperlukan agar aliran tetap lancar tanpa menimbulkan luapan. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa tambahan ketinggian minimal yang dibutuhkan adalah sekitar 12,1 cm untuk tabung pertama dan 11,2 cm untuk tabung kedua, yang kemudian dibulatkan menjadi 13 cm untuk implementasi di lapangan. Pengujian fisik menunjukkan bahwa aliran berlangsung lancar tanpa luapan, menegaskan keandalan metode ini dalam perancangan sistem filtrasi pasir dua tabung terbuka. Temuan ini memberikan dasar numerik penting dalam desain sistem filtrasi pasif berbasis gravitasi.
