Abstract

Aktivitas siswa yang terjadi pada saat proses pembelajaran terlihat bahwa siswa cenderung menjadi pendengar saja, enggan mengemukakan pendapat dan cenderung pasif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan bahwa penerapan metode pembelajaran talking stick dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran menjelaskan proses dasar teknik mesin. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas X Teknik Pemesinan sebanyak 21 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembaran observasi untuk melihat perubahan aktivitas belajar dan tes objektif untuk melihat perubahan hasil belajar dalam dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I aktivitas belajar mencapai 62,2%, dan meningkat menjadi 81,03%. Pada siklus II. Untuk hasil belajar, pada siklus I ketuntasan klasikal mencapai 61,90% dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 76,19%. Nilai rata-rata siswa pada siklus I, 75,54 dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 84,04. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode pembelajaran talking stick dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Susahnya lapangan pekerjaan menyebabkan banyak terjadinya pencurian dan tindak kriminal lainnya. Salah satu tindak kriminal lainnya yang sering terjadi pada saat ini adalah pencurian didalam rumah. Untuk memperkecil kemungkinan terjadinya pencurian didalam rumah dibuatlah sebuah sistem keamanan rumah yang menggabungkan mikrokontroller dengan smartphone android dan magnetic door switch sensor, mikrokontroller yang digunakan adalah arduino uno yang dilengkapai dengan sim808. Sim808 akan menghasilkan notifikasi berupa suara, SMS dan akan mengirim data ke database server, hasil yang dikirim ke database dapat dilihat melalui sebuah aplikasi yang menampilkan kapan pintu terbuka. Dengan sistem keamanan rumah ini memungkinkan untuk memgetahui kapan pintu terbuka ketika sedang tidak dirumah.

Abstract

Learning activities can run smoothly if accompanied by the availability of appropriate learning media. Learning in the Machining Technology course requires direct practical activities, for example in understanding the use of lathes. The limitations of students' mastery of knowledge when facing the teaching and learning process that tends to be lecture-oriented, causing students' lack of understanding during practice. Learning media that is less interesting causes failure in delivering material, thereby reducing students' interest in learning. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Real Time Augmented Reality (RT-AR) Lathe media in the learning process of the Machining Technology course in the D-III Study Program, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Padang State University (FT-UNP). RT-AR media is designed to present interactive visualizations that describe the lathe work process in real time, so that it is expected to improve students' conceptual understanding and practical skills. The study used a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test and post-test design in two groups: the experimental group using RT-AR media and the control group using conventional learning methods. The results showed that there was a significant increase in the learning outcomes of students in the experimental group compared to the control group. In addition, RT-AR media is also able to increase students' motivation and active participation during the learning process. These findings indicate that RT-AR Lathe media is an effective and relevant learning innovation to be applied in vocational engineering education, especially in mastering lathing material.

Abstract

This research evaluates the application' of the Project' Based Learning' (PjBL)' learning model in Creative Products and Entrepreneurship subjects in class' XI Heavy' Equipment Engineering' at SMK Negeri 1 Timpeh. SMK Negeri 1 Timpeh strives to achieve the vision of the Revitalization of SMK PK, which emphasizes the preparation of graduates for the world of work or entrepreneurship. Interview results show' that student' learning outcomes' have not reached' graduation standards, and teacher-centred learning conditions and a lack of variety in learning models are the main challenges. Therefore, this research applies the PjBL model as an effort to overcome this problem. The PjBL model is considered the right solution because it emphasizes time-bound processes, focus on problems, and the formation of meaningful learning units. This research includes the results of previous research that shows the success of PjBL in improving student learning outcomes in various educational contexts. This research used method Classroom Action Research (PTK) with an instrument in the form of a project assessment rubric. The research results show a big improve in student learning outcomes after implementing PjBL. In the second cycle, classical completion reached 100%, exceeding the research success indicator. The PjBL model provides alternative options for teachers in learning approaches, creates fun learning experiences, and increases student engagement. It is hoped that the implementation of PjBL can activate students, increase creativity, and produce graduates with skills relevant' to' the demands' of the 21st' century.' This research supports the implementation of PjBL to improve student' learning' outcomes' in Creative Products' and Entrepreneurship' subjects.
