Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi program pelatihan peningkatan kompetensi dosen pada STMIK Triguna Dharma yaitu: (1) evaluasi komponen context, (2) evaluasi komponen input, (3) evaluasi komponen process, (4) evaluasi komponen product. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan model evaluasi CIPP (context, input, process, product). Evaluasi dilakukan dengan menilai keempat komponen tersebut dalam program pelatihan peningkatan kompetensi dosen STMIK Triguna Dharma. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah sumber data primer dan data sekunder. Temuan dari hasil penelitian ini yaitu pertama, hasil evaluasi terhadap komponen context dari program pelatihan peningkatan kompetensi dosen STMIK Triguna Dharma berada pada kategori baik. Kedua, hasil evaluasi terhadap komponen input dari program pelatihan peningkatan kompetensi dosen STMIK Triguna Dharma berada pada kategori baik. Ketiga, hasil evaluasi terhadap komponen proses dari program pelatihan peningkatan kompetensi dosen STMIK Triguna Dharma berada pada kategori sangat baik. Keempat, hasil evaluasi terhadap komponen produk dari program pelatihan peningkatan kompetensi dosen STMIK Triguna Dharma berada pada kategori cukup baik.

Abstract

The rapid development of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) affects various aspects of human life including education. Utilizing this information technology can support the independent learning process for the better. E-module with the case method model is suitable media implementing in  Technology and Vocational Education. This study aims to analyse the validity of E-module with case method in vehicle testing course the expert before being implemented in the learning process. This study used a quantitative research in the form of a survey. The validity of this research is divided into two categories, namely design validity and material validity. Data collection is using questionnaire in a form of Likert scale with five possible answers is used in this media validation questionnaire. The data analysis in this study is use level of validity according to Formula V Aiken. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that media design is valid in terms of didactic, construction and technical aspects. While the results of material validation also show that the material in the media is valid in terms of the quality of the material and the quality of learning. It can be concluded that the flipbook-based e-module with the case method used in this course is effective as a learning medium in the classroom during the learning process.

Abstract

The assessment process carried out by lecturers for students still uses previous utilization procedures, such as processing grades with Microsoft Excel, so it is less effective. This research aims to analyze system-based student assessments based on the perspective of learning motivation and the influence of system use. This type of research is quantitative research. The total research population is 100 students. The research sample was 55 students using random sampling techniques. The data collection method uses a questionnaire. The data collection instrument is a questionnaire sheet. The technique used to analyze the data is inferential statistics with Pearson correlation calculations used to analyze the relationship between the two variables. The analysis results show a strong positive correlation between learning motivation and the effect of using the assessment system. The correlation value is close to perfect, indicating that the higher the student's learning motivation, the greater the positive effect of using the assessment system on learning outcomes. These significant results emphasize the importance of a transparent assessment system in increasing student learning motivation. Students who clearly understand how assessments are carried out and how grades are assigned tend to be more motivated to achieve higher academic achievements. The contribution of this research is that innovation in the development and improvement of technology-based assessment systems is very relevant in supporting the achievement of better learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study describes the relationship between motivation and student learning discipline towards learning outcomes in the lathe subject. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between motivation and learning discipline towards learning outcomes in the lathe subject of class XI students of Mechanical Engineering at SMK Dhuafa Padang. Hypothesis testing in this study used a simple correlation test and multiple product moment correlation to determine the relationship between motivation and learning discipline variables with learning outcomes in the Lathe Subject. This study was conducted at SMK Dhuafa Padang, and the subjects were class XI students of Mechanical Engineering with a sample size of 21 students. The results of the research data analysis showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and learning discipline together towards learning outcomes in the Lathe Subject of Class XI Mechanical Engineering at SMK Dhuafa Padang. This is evidenced by the research data that rhitung> rtable, which is 0.535> 0.413 at a significance level of 5%. By recognizing the important relationship between learning motivation and academic achievement, educational institutions and educators can implement more efficient strategies to enhance students' enthusiasm for learning in order to achieve optimal learning achievement in mechanical engineering lessons.

Abstract

Work readiness among technology and vocational students is determined not only by mastery of technical competencies but also by soft skills that support adaptation, collaboration, and professionalism in the workplace. This study aims to analyze the level of soft skills, work readiness, and the relationship between the two among technology and vocational students at SMKS Semen Padang. This study used a descriptive quantitative approach with a correlational design. The research population consisted of students in Grades XI and XII, with a sample of 59 respondents selected using proportional random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire that had been declared valid and reliable. Data analysis techniques included descriptive statistics, normality testing, linearity testing, and Pearson correlation analysis. The results show that students’ soft skills were in the very good category, with an average percentage of 81.94%. The most dominant aspect was creativity and problem solving, followed by teamwork, time management, leadership, work ethics, and communication. Students’ work readiness was in the very ready category, with a percentage of 85.63%. In addition, there was a very strong positive and significant relationship between soft skills and work readiness, with a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.988 (p < 0.05). The conclusion of this study emphasizes that soft skills are strongly associated with vocational high school students’ readiness to enter the workforce. These findings imply the importance of strengthening learning based on soft skill development in vocational education so that graduates are better prepared to meet the demands of the workforce.

Abstract

Although the use of interactive multimedia in entrepreneurship education has been widely studied, empirical evidence regarding its effect on the entrepreneurial creativity of Mechanical Engineering students at SMK Negeri 2 Solok remains limited. This study aimed to analyze the effect of interactive learning multimedia in the Creative Products and Entrepreneurship subject on students’ entrepreneurial creativity. The study employed a quantitative approach with a post-test-only control group quasi-experimental design. The study population consisted of 68 Grade XI Mechanical Engineering students, with 19 students involved in instrument testing and 49 students included in the study sample, comprising 25 students in the experimental class and 24 students in the control class. Data were collected through questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The final instrument consisted of 28 valid items with a Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of 0.978. The data were analyzed using normality tests, a homogeneity test, and an independent-samples t-test. The results showed that the mean entrepreneurial creativity score of students in the experimental class was 89.52, which was higher than the control class score of 72.54. The hypothesis-testing results indicated a significant difference between the two groups (t = 16.489; p < 0.001). These findings confirm that the use of interactive learning multimedia has a positive effect on students’ entrepreneurial creativity and supports the development of more contextual entrepreneurship learning in vocational education. Schools and Creative Products and Entrepreneurship teachers need to systematically integrate interactive multimedia, while future studies need to involve more schools and apply project-based assessment.
