Abstract

This research aims to analyze structure, conduct and performance of marketing of onion at Probolinggo to measure market efficiency. Data analysis use structure, conduct, performance approach and regression methods. The analysis of market structure showed that market structure of onions moving between olygopsoni to perfect competition market, and there are not entry/exit barriers for new comer and so does no differentiation of product. Based on Kr, IH, CR4 and market share indicator, no one of traders can monopolize the market. Commodity flow analysis shows there at least eight kinds of marketing channels to distribute product from farmers to consumers. Market conduct analysis shows that pricing process based on individual negotiations no formal institution to control the market and no significant competition among traders. Market performance analysis shows that marketing cost, margin and marketing profit varies among traders and channels. Share of price of farmer relatively high. Price change of consumers transmitted to price change of producers correctly, producers market and consumers market has been integrated with reference market. According to market structure, conduct and market performance, we saw the marketing system not yet efficient

Abstract

Plantation sub-sector is part of the agricultural sector which acts as one of the country's foreign exchange-earners, producer of consumption materials, producers of raw materials for industry, employment providers and encourages agribusiness and supports environmental conservation. The role of plantations is increasing along with the creation of resilient agriculture by utilizing natural resources optimally supported by quality human resources. In this study, the analytical method used is multiple regression analysis models with the help of the SPSS program (for Windows version 25.0). The results showed that the Land Area X1 variable was at a significance level of 95% (α = 0.05). Then it means (0.033 0.005) which means that H0 is rejected and Ha is received by the land area and has a significant positive effect on coffee production in Dampit Subdistrict, Labor an X2 significance level of 95% (α = 0.05. Then 0.246 0.05, which means H0 is received and Ha is rejected, then labor has a positive but not significant effect on coffee production in Dampit Sub-district. Superior seedlings at X3 are 95% significance level (α = 0.05. Then 0,000 0.05, which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, so superior seedlings have a significant positive effect on coffee production in Dampit District, Fertilizer X4 at a significance level of 95% (α = 0.05. then 0.005 0.05 which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted) Fertilizers have a significant positive effect on coffee production in Dampit District. Pesticides at X5 at a significance level of 95 % (α = 0.05. So that means (0.927 0.05) which means that H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected then pesticides have a positive but not significant effect on coffee production in Dampit District.

Abstract

This research was aimed to recognize determinant factors influencing rice demand behaviour, income elasticity number, its price elasticity, cross price elasticity and rice demand number in East Java which are needed in incoming ten years. This research used secondary time series data during 32 years, starting from 1971 until 2002. The data was processed and analyzed with Houthakker-Taylor dynamic demand behavior analysis and conventional models. In the meantime rice demand projection was predicted by a technique developed by Ferris (1998). Analysis of results showed that the partial factors influencing toward rice demand in East Java were rice price of delta, corn price, corn price of delta, cassava price of delta, flour price of delta, inhabitants’ number of delta, income per capita of delta, and rice demand of lag. Houthakker-Taylor model is better than conventional model used for analyzing rice demand in East Java

Abstract

After the eruption of Mount Bromo led to a decline in the area planted vegetables decrease thein come of the people in the area. The intervention of Micro finance Institutions (MFIs) as a financial intermediary which aims to provide easier access to credit for low-income farmers vegetable or vegetable growers after the eruption of Mount Bromo that do not have access to commercial banks, is expected to increase farm production scallion, after Bromo Mountain eruption there are. The aims of this research are to investigate the conception of potatoes farm (cost, supply, benefits and R/C) factors that influence the vegetables farm productivity in Sukapura, and the role of micro finance on farm. The research was conducted in Ngadisari and Ngadirejo with purposive sampling method. Data which is obtained from the research is analyzed using R/C and Cobb-Douglass function. The results show that anion farm is beneficial with R/C value >1, the vegetables production are influenced by seeds, land area, biofertilizer, labor, perticides and micro finance have significant role on helping the farm

Abstract

The purpose of this research are to determine : (1) the marketing channel that efficient scallion cultivation ; (2) institutional in scallion cultivation and its role in the marketing of scallion cultivaion ; (3) To know the scallion farmers' bargaining position ; (4) determine institutional strengthening strategy and its relationship with the scallion growers bargaining scallion farmers . The analytical method used in this research is descriptive method of analysis . The research results show : there are 4 chain marketing channels of scallion in Probolinggo district , and VI channel is the most efficient channel ; There are two agricultural institutions in the location of research , namely cooperatives and farmer groups that have a role on the marketing of scallion ; Bargaining position of farmers in the location of research is still relatively low ; and Institutional Strengthening Strategy farmers in order to improve the bargaining position of farmers one of them can be done with intensive training on institutional members

Abstract

This study aimed to know about the interrelationships between agribusiness subsystems, cost analysis, revenues, and profits in the development of starfruit in P4S Belimbing Artha Mandiri and to analyze the feasibility and sustainability of developing starfruit in P4S Belimbing Artha Mandiri. The analysis used is descriptive, cost analysis, sweet star fruit income, and financial feasibility analysis. The results showed that the agribusiness subsystems in P4S Belimbing Artha Mandiri were interrelated and supported one another and still have weaknesses in the processing and marketing subsystems. Over ten years, it has had an average revenue of Rp. 786,266,944, - with an average operational cost of Rp. 360,793,236, - so the average income received each year is Rp. 425,473,707, - There are four criteria for financial eligibility. The Net Present value (NPV) shows a value of Rp. 1,453,862,787.- IRR (Internal Rate of Return) shows a value of 41.72%, and PP (Payback Period) is at 1.26. The calculation of Net B/C in business starfruit cultivation is 3.87. The financial feasibility criteria show that the sweet star fruit cultivation business at P4S Belimbing Artha Mandiri is feasible and can continue.
