Abstract

The oxygen demand in Salatiga city is increasing due to the increasing of population and vehicles. This oxygen can be met if the development of Green Open Space (GOS) is growing, However, this has not been well identified how many GOS are needed for oxygen demands in the city of Salatiga. The purpose of this research is to identify how many green open spaces are needed in Salatiga city based on the oxygen demand there. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method by calculating the area of land use included in the category of GOS, and calculating the oxygen demand of citizens and motorized vehicles. In determining the need for green space, calculations are carried out using the Gerarkis formula to obtain the results of green space needs by calculating the green space based on oxygen demand. Based on the analysis of land use, the total GOS in 2023 for the city of Salatiga was 1,046.21 hectares which consists of green belt, horticultural areas, plantation areas, local protection areas, cemeteries, urban forests and parks. The trend of oxygen demand increases in line with the population growth from 2018 to 2022; along with increasing motorized vehicles, while buses have decreased due people are not willing to use public transport. It can be concluded that the existing green spaces in Salatiga City cannot meet the oxygen demand of the population and motorized vehicles. Where the green space area must be increased to meet oxygen demand based on population and motor vehicle data in 2023 is 267.21 hectares

Abstract

The area of land used, and the visual conditions of the agricultural landscape are required. This research aims to identify land use and activities in the agricultural sector, identify the visual conditions of the agricultural landscape, and provide recommendations for planning agricultural tourism activities. This research is qualitative research which is useful for further exploring the data needed where the research variables are visual quality and community perception, especially farmers, and combined using a quantitative approach using Scenic Beauty Estimation (SBE) data analysis to evaluate visual quality and descriptive statistics to determine farmer perceptions. Cukilan Village. The results of this research show that the agrotourism landscape planning for Cukilan Village can be implemented well and has different agricultural commodities in each planting season. The conclusion of this research is based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the planning of agrotourism activities in Cukilan Village, especially in some villages such as Krajan 2, Salak, Patran, Banjaran Gunung, Banjaran Cengklik has different agricultural products every month. The visual quality in Cukilan Village has natural landscape visuals and gets a medium average score, which means it can give a beautiful and attractive impression to tourists.

Abstract

activities. Such as, exercising, playing and relaxing. However, there is a problem that arises, namely a decrease in air quality due to emissions or exhaust gas from vehicles around the square. This is because the square is surrounded by the main road of Salatiga City. The aim of this research is to assess the ability of trees around the Alun-alun to absorb carbon and lead particles. The research method used was an exploration method where a total of 112 trees were analyzed for their ability to absorb carbon. Then trees that fall within a 5 meter radius around the road are samples for analysis of their ability to absorb lead, where the total number of trees sampled is 8 trees. Carbon absorption was assessed using the allometric equation while lead absorption used AAS (Atomatic Absorption Spectrophotometry). The average result of tree carbon uptake was 7,887 tonnes/ha, where the highest uptake was the Banyan tree at 70,267 tonnes/ha, the Angsana tree 20,046 tonnes/ha and the lowest was the Glodogan Tiang tree at 0.017 tonnes/ha. The lead uptake results showed that the Glodogan Tiang tree had the highest uptake of 590,500 ppm/g and the lowest was the Japanese Cedar tree at 65,100 ppm/g. The conclusion of this research shows that carbon uptake is influenced by trunk diameter and tree height, while lead uptake is influenced by tree location and leaf characteristics.
