Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases with characteristic hyperglycemia that occurs due to abnormal insulin secretion, insulin action or both. WHO predict that by 2030 the number of patients diabetes mellitus in Indoneisa will reach 21,3 million. Patien t compliance is indispensable for achieve theapeutic success. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of medication adherence and differences of the level in medication adherence for outpatient diabetes mellitus patients before and after giving intervestion using sosial media. The sosial media use is whatsapp.The study was conducted with a quasi-experimental design with prospective data taking during period July to August 2018. The subjects who followed study from the beginning to the end of the study were 24 patients with intervention using whatsapp sosial media. Exclusion criteria patients were patients with deaf, illierate and patienets wiht high leves of adherence. Collecting data by interviewing filing out the MARS compliance questioning pre and post intervention on whatsapp sosial media.Based on the result of the study of the level of adherence to medication after intervention were high adherence 83,33% and moderate adherence 16,67%. That was significant adherence difference (p=0,000) of the medication adherence before (22,04±1,57) and after (24,83±0,38). The average change is 2,79±1,19. The result of the study concluded that the interventions using sosial media in patients with diabetes mellitus useful can change pasient adherence in taking medicine. That is indicated by a increase in adherence medication patients (p<0,005).

Abstract

Infeksi yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Pseudomonas aeruginosa menjadi salah satu penyebab penyakit nosokomial. Potensi bahan alam seperti bunga lili belum banyak digali, komponen minyak atsiri bunga lili memiliki kandungan benzaldehid, linalol, simen, borneol dan osimen yang dapat bereaksi dengan komponen dinding sel bakteri yang menyebabkan kerusakan dinding sel bakteri. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui potensi minyak atsiri bunga lili (Lilium auratum) dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Pseudomonas aeruginosa dengan seri konsentrasi 12 μL, 25 μL, 50 μL menggunakan metode sumuran. Hasil uji didapatkan minyak atsiri bunga lili mampu menghambat bakteri dengan rata-rata zona hambat pada masing-masing minyak atsiri pada 12 µl sebesar 3,025 mm dengan kategori aktivitas rendah pada volume 25 µl sebesar 8,675 mm dengan kategori aktivitas sedang, dan pada volume 50 µl sebesar 13,018 mm dengan kategori kuat. Kata Kunci: Minyak Atsiri, Lilium auratum, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Zona Hambat, Metode Sumuran Infections caused by the bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa are one of the causes of nosocomial diseases. The potential of natural materials such as lilies has not been explored much, the components of lili essential oil contain benzaldehyde, linalol, cement, borneol and osimen which can react with bacterial cell wall components causing damage to bacterial cell walls. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential of lili (Lilium auratum) essential oil in inhibiting the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria with a concentration series of 12 L, 25 L, 50 L using the disc method. The test results showed that lili essential oil was able to inhibit bacteria with an average inhibition zone of each essential oil at 12 l of 3.025 mm with a low activity category at a volume of 25 l of 8.675 mm with a moderate activity category, and a volume of 50 l of 13,018 mm with strong category.

Abstract

Bundung Plant (Scirpus grossus L.) is one of the wild plants that is very easy to get, but not many people know its properties. This plant is empirically used by the community as a wound treatment and antimicrobial. This plant is proven to contain several compounds such as tannins, flavonoids, phenolics, saponins, steroids and terpenoids. This study aims to determine the antiseptic activity of ethanol extract of Bundung Plant with various concentrations and the most effective concentration in healing white rat incision wounds (Rattus norvegicus). the method used begins with the extraction process, making extract concentrations, preparing test animals, dividing test animal groups, treating test animals, observing the healing phase and testing antiseptic activity. The results of the group test on the measurement of the average length and healing time of the incision wound, the wound that closed the fastest was the 4% extract group which was seen clinically could be distinguished by its healing speed, from the results of the analysis there was no significant difference in the healing time span and measurement of the average length of the incision wound. The conclusion of this study is that the ethanol extract of the Bundung Plant (Scirpus grossus L.) has antiseptic activity on the healing of incision wounds of white rats (Rattus norvegicus) which is observed through the healing time span and there is no significant difference in changes in wound healing time and the length of the incision wound in the five groups and the most optimal concentration of ethanol extract of the Bundung Plant (Scirpus grossus L.) with the concentration of the extract observed clinically is 4%.

Abstract

Ekstrak etanol bunga rosella (hibiscus sabdariffa L.) memiliki aktivitas antioksidan sebagai radikal bebas yang dapat meredam dengan penuaan dini sebagai anti aging maka perlu dibuat sediaan farmasi salah satunya topikal yang berupa gel. Sediaan gel dibuat dengan variasi konsentrasi Na.CMC untuk mengatahui pengaruh Na.CMC terhadap uji stabilitas sediaan gel ekstrak etanol bunga rosella. Stabilitas gel akan rusak jika sistem campurannya terganggu oleh perubahan suhu, komposisi yang berlebihan atau adanya penambahan salah satu fase secara berlebihan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengatahui pengaruh variasi konsentrasi Na.CMC terhadap hasil evaluasi dan uji stabilitas sediaan gel ekstrak bunga rosella (hibiscus sabdariffa L) sebagai anti aging. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan pre eksperimental design yakni dengan one shot case study. Gel diformulasikan dengan variasi konsentrasi Na.CMC yaitu 2,5%, 5%, 7,5%. Uji stabilitas menggunakan metode cycling test meliputi uji organoleptis, homogenitas, pH, daya lekat, daya sebar, viskositas dan sineresis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variasi konsentrasi Na.CMC pada formulasi I 2,5%, formulasi II 5% dan formulasi III 7,5% sesuai dengan spesifikasi terhadap evaluasi yang dilakukan pada formulasi I, II dan III uji organoleptis, homogenitas, pH, daya sebar, daya lekat, sineresis dan viskositas formulasi III. Hasil statistik menunjukkan nilai kurang dari 0,05 yang berati terdapat perbedaan signifikan terhadap pH, viskositas, daya sebar, daya lekat terhadap variasi konsentrasi Na.CMC.Kesimpulan tidak terdapat pengaruh evaluasi organoleptis, homogenitas, pH, daya sebar, daya lekat, sineresis dan viskositas pada formulasi III sesuai dengan spesifikasi sedangkan pada statitisik stabilitas tidak stabil sebelum dan sesudah.
